We had our trusted family dog trainer with us who would assess the situation and the puppies to let us know if this was a good idea & which puppy would be closest to what we were looking for temperament/behavioral. There was another family there picking up a another puppy from this same litter as they had another doodle from a different litter from the same parents. BUT I contacted Karen, one of the owners and let her know that one of the pups will require bilateral hip replacement surgery due to GENETICS and she asked me who Mom was. How am I supposed to know who mom is?? I wasn't there when they were bred. Now, another thing to be cautious about the ONLY paperwork that we received was the shot information. I cannot even tell you if our puppies are F1 or F2 Goldendoodles, hind sight is awful and I now am aware of the many things I now know that I didn't know then. I wanted to let them know that they should no longer be breeding this mom and dad together going forward due to the major issues with the hips and she just couldn't wrap her head around it. All she kept telling me is that they have been doing this for 12 years and this is their first complaint. That may just be true, but if you do not know who mom is how many other issues are going to arise with the puppies being bred and sold and because it is hip dysplasia it isn't covered within the first 12 months of having pet insurance. I have a pet discount card, but even after the discount since I have only had my puppies for 10 months the imaging and pain meds were $814.00 and the treatment plan is between $2800-3400.00 PER HIP! And, I did reach out to the animal control in the area, but because the dogs aren't being abused and are being fed they cannot do anything to this place. It is a small infraction for them to not be licensed, which THEY ARE NOT licensed, not even a misdemeanor, small fine and they can continue to do what they are doing. What a nightmare. I did NOT know that there is a way to look breeders up on the BBB website to find a place that is reputable and has a rating from the BBB. Just a head's up. BEWARE.

My 12-year old Puggle, Pumpkin, finally allowed me to take a…read moregood look at her after her grooming (she is very fussy with me as she is blind and almost completely deaf) and I must say I am beyond impressed with the bath package she got, especially the nail trim and her ear cleaning ! Kacey did a fantastic job on those hind claws, which a previous vet tech had told me were beyond clipping. And she is so soft and smells so good! She was so calm and happy, when I got her home, not stressed out at all, as she has sometimes been in the past. I will definitely bring her back for all her grooming needs. I actually think she enjoyed it.

Kaiden and Kacey are very kind and thorough and know when to back off when Moxie is distressed. I try to schedule Moxie when there are no other customers around, but Kaiden and Kacey will carefully shield Moxie from other dogs. We had taken Moxie to national chain establishments and those places are just too noisy and chaotic for both of us! BTW, our veterinarian cannot cut Moxie's nails without a huge struggle and recommended anesthetizing her to do it. I don't know what Cozy Clips does but they get the nails shortened and smoothed. For years I failed to adequately groom Moxie by myself as she gets easily matted. Now I get her done regularly and both Moxie and I are very happy with the results. I heartily recommend Cozy Clips.
