I called about 2-3 weeks before I was actually able to bring them in, which is when they had their next available appt. which I definitely understood especially with COV19. They told me they would call me if they had any last minute openings (which they did but each time I was working). I really love how they took their time with my pups and giving them the trim that I asked for yet still being gentle with them. They were very understanding on the fact that they were scared/ nervous since it was their first time being there. They have a few accessories/ supplies for sale as well as some refreshments if you're waiting but I believe that was pre- cov19 LOL. Very good work for their price. They accept cash & cc's and parking was easy and very accessible. I definitely made my next appointment for my boys and recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a great groomers for your pet!

Leaving my annual review update for my favorite groomers/ people!…read more I just can't believe it has been over 10 years since I first brought my rescue Puffy and they so generously groomed her after she was neglected for so long. I still can't believe they took us on a busy Saturday. I still can't believe they were so patient with her. And I still can't believe that I had to fight them to take my money! Having them take care of my own baby who they never made stay in the crate because i spoiled him and so he hated them. And who they opened up early for to do his last grooming before he passed. To now caring for my new baby Barron and he looking like a million bucks every time he leaves! A poodle with parents that don't comb/ brush him as they should... and squeezing us in when they can because busy is not the word! Honey if you groom like they do, care for one's fur baby like they do and are affordable in this day and age of gouging grooming salons - you simply stay busy. As they should! I'm so proud of their growth and the relationships they form with their customers and most importantly their furry clients. I drive over an hour to get to them. And when I travel or they are booked my poor baby has to get Mom's bad in between face cutting BUT I refuse to go anywhere else. Ever. Just not worth it. I went there to meet with the owner to evaluate one nail that another groomer would not clip. They fixed it in seconds while I held my dog in my arms. She reassured him that he would be ok and was very gentle with him. She didn't charge me since it was a 30 second job. She even gave my dog a toy! He played with it all night! I have cuts all over my arms. She hooked him up, spoke to him softly with kisses as he was being cut. I couldn't believe my eyes. He didn't bark once and after one or two corrections he obeyed her. The cut is beautiful. This is the first time going to a groomer in many years that I didn't have to correct some of the cutting when I got home. What a wonderful person to deal with. Her knowledge is incredible. Now that we are home he's acting better and hasn't barked once. If I knew she could help I would have gone earlier. She's a female dog whisperer. It's worth the trip.

I have been to a few groomers in the area, Barbara was the ONLY one who let me go in the back with him. I easily got an appt to come in on a Saturday. Place looks so inviting & clean. Lots of lovely pictures around. Doggie toys & clothes as well! We were greeted very warmly but Barbara & Kelly. We waited about 2 mins & they took Oliver & me in the back. I know I am paying for a service, but I liked I can stay next to him & keep him calm. Kelly washed him so easily & gave him a blueberry facial! She & Barbara dried him twice, ears, teeth & nail all done in under an hour! He looks, feel & smells wonderful! You can really tell how much they love the animals that come through there. Thank you so much ladies to taking care of my anxiety dog!!! We will be back!!

STEER CLEAR based on our negative experience…read more We recently boarded our dog, Slate, at Dogtopia Westmont for 10 days. While we were initially assured at pickup that he had been well-behaved and in good condition, our experience tells a very different story. Slate entered the facility in excellent health, as confirmed by our veterinarian shortly before boarding. Upon pickup, we immediately noticed green discharge coming from one of his eyes and scratches on his nose. Staff attributed the nose abrasions to him rubbing against the crate--an explanation that seems unlikely given that Slate is fully crate-trained and uses a crate daily at home without issue. Within 24 hours, the discharge progressed to conjunctivitis in both eyes, requiring veterinary treatment and antibiotics. More alarming were the numerous bite wounds on his head, neck, ears, and throat--injuries inconsistent with normal play behavior. That very same evening Slate developed a severe gastrointestinal illness resulting in vomiting, diarrhea, and five days without eating. He required IV fluids, x-rays, bloodwork, and medications. His total veterinary care amounted to $837.22. When we brought these concerns to Dogtopia's attention, we were told that no incidents were observed on video and that no other dogs were exhibiting any symptoms. While staff insisted all internal procedures had been followed, the fact remains: our healthy dog left their care sick, injured, and traumatized. Absolutely no accountability was taken. We understand that unforeseen issues can happen in group play settings. However, the facility's complete unwillingness to acknowledge even the possibility of an incident or lapse in care is deeply disappointing. We entrusted Dogtopia Westmont with Slate's safety and well-being. Based on this experience, we cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone seeking a responsible, transparent, or truly safe boarding environment.

They gave us extra tools like de-shedding brushes and even an ear cover for our dog who we mentioned is scared of the blow drier. They checked on us throughout and offered to help. We will be returning to try out their full service grooming and will definitely do the self service bath again too. Really great place with great people, highly recommend giving them a try!
