On 2-28-2019 I went to the bargain corner auto sales dealership, I went here based on good word of mouth. Many friends told me what a great guy Bobby was an how if anything goes wrong he would do what he could to make it right. So went to this business and saw a vehicle that fit my wants an needs, I could see right off it would need new tires and a stereo so I went in and talked to the guy. I asked him where he got the car he said he got them from the dealership in the next lot that they were trade ins. I proceeded to ask him if knew of anything wrong with the vehicle he told me the transmission had an issue but they had fixed it and it set them back a few hundred dollars. This for me was a major selling point as that issue is the heart of the vehicle I was relieved an could only assume any other fixes would be minor. He had the vehicle marked at 4000, down to about 3000$ so I offered him 2300$ and we settled at 2400$ including title and tags. Before signing any as no warranty paper work I asked him would you trust this vehicle to get me out of town as far as Washington and back safely? He said yes! I again said to him that I am a single mother with a full time job and a full set of bills, do you feel comfortable selling me this vehicle knowing that. And he again said yes! I'd like to see it go to a good home. So I signed the papers. The next day I went and got the oil changed full service an had new windshield wiper blades put on it. I went and had a set of new tires put on it because it was wobbly when driving and that was an immediate need. 2 days into owning this vehicle the A/T oil temp light came on after driving for 30 minutes. I pulled over and looked it up and it's a warning light for transmission issues. I cautiously drive this vehicle on a few short errands and to and from work until I was able to have a day off to take it to the shop. The day of my appointment this vehicle wouldn't even start I tried having my neighbor jump me didn't do anything I walked to the store and added some gas didn't do anything. I had to have my vehicle towed to the auto shop where they also spoke highly of the man who sold it to me saying he's a good guy just let him know what's going on and he will make it right. The shop told me after looking at my vehicle that the transmission was shot and the bill to fix it was 4500$ an there is no way he could have fixed it. So I took that back to the guy who sold it to me and he denied telling me about the transmission says he said they fixed the starter and that it's a as is no warranty. I offered him to give me my 2400$ back and I would give him the receipts for the things I have invested in this car. He said he would talk to the owner. So I came back the next day and an tried to explain to him I've only had this vehicle a week and it's completely fucked. I explained I drove it cautiously and he pointed to the wall again and said it's as is and that's what the owner said I politely asked him to call the owner of this business that I would like to talk to him because this isn't right. He's now sold a car that I can't drive can't afford to fix. He said the owner would be in the next day at 10 am so I left and smiled said see you all at 10am. When I walked up there this morning he met me half way saying the owner wanted him to tell me to trespass me because I keep coming back. I understand that I was impulsive in this decision and trusted the word of a man based on what others told me but this whole thing isn't right. Please share this! This has been a horrifying experience. read more
