I have two Ford vehicles (an Edge and Explorer) that require a Ford dealer to service them. I have been rudely treated by their service Manager Bill Solar for several years. The Body shop at Tower Ford was wonderful. I had a water leak on my F-150. Gail explained that water leaks were hard to find and it could take a while and were not covered under warranty. After reading the warranty she was correct. They found the vapor barrier on my back passenger door was not attached properly. After reattaching it in place they ran a dehumidifier and ozone machine overnight, I was so pleased to get my truck fixed and back within 2 days. They took care of the problem and only charged me the deductible I would have paid if the warranty covered it. Gail also called me and kept me posted on the progress, I really appreciated that. I worked with Russell at Tower Ford and he was amazing. he was confident and able to get me the deal that I wanted for the car that I am absolutely in love with. Tiffany in finance is so great, she took the time to explain everything, extended warranties credits, and how credit is looked at, I'm 60 years old and she taught me things in one hour that I had no idea about. if you were looking for a car in the Coos Bay area there is no other place I would ever even consider I usually only buy Fords, and this is the reason why not only are their cars amazing but the people that work for Ford always impress me and surprise me with how dedicated they are with guest satisfaction. all I can say, is I hope that they read this review and know that they have a very satisfied customer and they will be who I go to in the future without question. read more

This negative review goes out specifically to sales manager, Chuck Day. If I could give him 0 stars, I absolutely would. One of the absolute worst customer service I've ever witnessed. I came in with a friend to inquire if they would be interested in purchasing my car. He then asked what price we were thinking of and as soon as we said a price based on other offers we had received from the other dealerships in town, Chuck immediately told us how ridiculous our price is and started getting very defensive while telling us about why he wouldn't pay such a price. He then went on to compare my car to a base trim rental car and tried to justify the price this way. We attempted to calmly explain our justification of our asking price (private car, newer year, highest trim, low miles, no damages, one owner vehicle), but instead of listening, he became very agitated and raised his voice at us, not even letting us speak. He did this all while not even gathering a single piece of information on the vehicle other than its year and model, not even so much as the VIN to look up its value. It is completely understandable to not agree on prices and turn us away, but there is absolutely no reason for someone, especially a manager, to be acting so aggressively and so unprofessionally towards customers. Unprofessional service. My truck came from here with the auto start stop feature not working, and I gave it 4 months to sort itself out. I took it in a week ago and down $130 and 2 hours of my morning all that had to be done was clearing some codes. The mechanic said he took it for a test drive. Found out he had taken the liberty to mess with my sound settings turning the bass to max. The manager said he will talk to the mechanic. Took my 2000 F150 in for pads on the front and shoes on the back. $260 per axle. Normally I would do them myself but Im getting old now and its kinda rough. Took it in on a Thursday and got it back in about 3 hours. They said it was test drives and everything good to go. 5 miles to my house I walked to the back of the truck and could smell a hot brake. I reached down to feel the drum and it was smoking hot! The other side was hot also. Called them and took it back the next day Friday. I had told them what was going on and NO I did not drive with the emergency brake on. I told them to check the adjustments and take the drum off to make sure the brake shoe didn't crack from the heat. All the time them telling me they would call when ready. As of Monday 2:30 pm..with no one calling me with an update as promised..I went down to see what was going on. When I got there my truck was setting out on the street in front of Ford. When I went in they told me the mechanic said he pulled the drum and the shoes were ok...that they needed adjusting and now my drum was out of round and needed a new one. I said hell no give me my truck. I was so angry..first of all the job wasn't done right to start with,they tried to blame me..and to tell me it need adjusting ? Wasn't that the whole reason it was there? Now suddenly I have a brake drum out of round because it got so hot from THEM not doing THEIR job in the first place.!!! BS. The only good thing I can say is they gave me a loaner while waiting 4days for a 3hour job that wasn't done properly to start with. I will for sure do them myself next time. read more

I know that Coos Bay is a working class town but it is highly unprofessional to have someone in your parts department who deals with the public speaking to a customer with a giant wad of chewing tobacco in his front lip. It is also unnecessarily difficult to do a warranty exchange on a 55 month old battery. Seriously. Clean up your act. We're towing a Ford Edge behind an RV and 3 times the battery has gone completely dead even though everything is off and our braking system is powered by it's own battery. The parts and service department helped us immediately. Service tested the battery to make sure that it was the likeliest cause. It was a 5 year old battery and it failed testing. Everybody in the place was friendly and professional and they took care of our problem in about 40 minutes. It was a pleasant experience. read more

Would never recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle. The specific problem related to new 10 speed transmission. Computer controls can decide what gear to be in as they are so close in gearing. Lugging at all speeds just not as noticeable at higher speeds. At 25-35 jerky as all get out. read more

They sold me a lemon and the engine blew in less than 2 months of owning it. Their solution was to try to sell me another car when they knew I couldn't afford it. When I posted a bad review on Facebook their sales manager laugh reacted to it and left a comment saying it was my fault for buying it, he lied about how much I spent, and then lied about how much miles were on it. I posted a picture of the current miles and the price I paid to prove him wrong. He then deleted his comment to save face. These people con people already struggling to get by and then laugh about it. It's disgusting and you should avoid this dealership at all coats. read more

My wife bought a 2016 Ford Fusion EcoBoost recently from Tower Ford. Within 4 days it threw several service codes. Her heart was broken. Understandably, she was a little depressed about it and was reluctant to call saying, "They will only try to charge me more money." She and I are disabled and in our 60's - I have no ability to 'do-it-myself, anymore... We took the car back to Tower Ford, who fixed the problem and reset the system. Joshua recognized the issue - a recent purchase - made the appropriate calls and had the problems repaired at no cost to my wife, who is very happy! I bought a used 2001 Ford Ranger that had originally been purchased at Tower Ford and decided to give them a try for repairs. My first try was the driver's seat belt that was a little sticky retracting. I had the feeling that a little lubrication was needed. They wouldn't even try but offered to replace it for more than $300. No thanks. My second try was a spark plug replacement. This 4 cylinder vehicle has 8 plugs some of which are tricky to get to. I had no engine check lights so I assume the spark plug wires were ok, and I agreed to the service. Lo and behold, one of the wires broke off. They wouldn't make up one spark plug wire and being desperate I agreed to a new set of 8. My $150 job (already pretty damn expensive) cost more than $300, I have the feeling they padded the bill by not deducting the labor that was duplicated (the somewhat difficult job of pulling the hard to get to wires.) And I wonder if the mechanic broke the one spark plug wire. Finally, I needed a cable for the tail gate, one had broken. Unfortunately the replacement from both Autozone and Napa were a tad long. The Tower part was more than twice the price and the counter guy was kind of rude, so, no thanks and I bought two from Napa to match in length for less money. read more

An embarrassment of a dealership and "professional business". One of our customers purchased a Ford vehicle from us, and when an issue came up, he took it into Tower, who diagnosed the issue and did the repair. The customer had to take it in personally because employees were told they were not allowed to work on anything from our dealership. The repair did not fix the issue, but they told the customer to pick up his truck and pay the $223 bill anyway. We will be taking his vehicle to another Ford dealer for the actual repair, but buyer beware with this dealer. I can never imagine treating a customer like this. read more

I have a 2018 f250 four by four and I brought it in for three things 1 was an oil change number two the top of my tailgate was coming off and number three my brakes have a really bad wobble when I pull any of my trailers. The oil change they did do after some begging and pleading after they've had my truck for 3 days the second thing the tailgate the top of the tailgate they would not fix because they said the top of the tailgate has two scratches so in good conscience he cannot fix it the third thing my brakes wobbling they said there's nothing they can do to fix the brakes on my truck. It's very difficult to buy cars locally. The options and attitudes are often too hard to overlook. Not to say we've always been treated badly (although a finance manager once greeted me near the door and made the ridiculous assumption that we were not "qualified buyers" and stated as much). Silly boy shot himself and his dealership right in the foot --- since we headed down the road to buy our Ford from another dealership! We've used the service department at this location and finally gave up on that too! When quotes and charges don't match... somebody needs to rethink business. It happened to us, and though we paid for service we did not get... they did rip us off in the nicest possible way. I guess it helps to have "friendly" faces behind the counter, even when you're not performing work duties up to a high level of customer satisfaction. :) On numerous occasions we've attempted to shop Tower Ford. After deciding on a truck to buy, we sat down with the salesman who treated us well. He wrote up the deal and took it to the office for approval. Out came a younger man named Brian. He was obviously in a cocky mood and proceeded to tell us that we were being unreasonable with our offer. I took my 2001 f250 to them on a tow truck. They called me 4 days later said it was done, I paid $985. I got 2 miles from there place and it did the same thing but I was able to limp it back to them. There so called tech plugged his computer in and couldn't find nothing wrong. I after talking to him he said he never test drove it. So we went for a test drive well I had to have a friend tow us back the dealership didn't offer to tow it. So I left 5 days later I go back and the "tech" tells me he changed parts out and tested other but couldn't fix it with out charging me a lot of money. So $400 later I drove it away only getting 5 miles from them. I got under my hood and found the short he couldn't find and fixed it. Well while they had it I asked for an oil change and lube. I had to change my u-joint out three days ago that has grease fitting on it . The u-joint was bone dry they didn't grease my truck but where happy to take my money total frauds. I dread going anywhere near tower Ford and their terrible service. I bought a used 2016 Ford Fusion, and they sent me on my way without any gas, and with garbage crammed into the seats of my car. But before all of this the finance guy had overcharged my debit card by over 900$ as an "accident" which I then had to go to my bank and back 3 times to get fixed. I then have had to deal with the parts and service department for a couple bad batteries that were under warranty and they have done nothing but give me the run around for when I can get my batteries back or if they'll honor the warranty. I seriously DO NOT recommend this dealer for anything. read more

Always rude when I've been there. I wasn't really interested in buying a car I just wanted to look. They said rude remarks like "Don't you have school or something?" And when I pointed out some obvious fit and finish flaws on some paint and a piece of the interior on a mustang they scoffed and said "all our cars have these issues, and yeah sure we'll fix the if you bought it." Like saying IF YOU bought it implying that I wouldn't even buy a car and that I couldn't afford it. Know I wouldn't buy a Ford for quality issues, and certainly wouldn't from them! I paid tower ford to run a scan and give me a quote on fixing my heated seat in a f250 superduty. They quoted me $620. I called lithia ford in roseburg and they fixed my truck two days later for $272. Same part same labor. My family has always kept our business local owning numerous diesels from tower ford. And this is how this servicee department treats its community members that support their job. I will always drive to Roseburg for anything with my truck from now on. Absolutely awful customer service. My husband and I applied for a vehicle over the weekend. That following Monday the sales rep called me and approved us. At that point we were sending paycheck stubs and our interest rate and payment were told to us. The sales rep even told me he would bring it to the hospital, my place of work. Less than an hour later we called to check in and he had sold it to someone else!!! They then made the excuse that they would look for another but were unwilling to cooperate. I have never been to a car lot that has such a poor quality of customer service. I have told EVERYONE I know not to shop here. I then received feedback from many who have already came to the same conclusion. Our cousin who also purchases company pickups brand-new 4-5 at a time will not continue his business there. I guess you don't realize how small of a community it is when you think you're only screwing over "small" people. Who knew you had to try so hard to give someone money. At least go somewhere where they will be kind and grateful that you are spending your money there. read more

They are the typical car salespeople. They lure you in with being nice and then when it comes down to the deal, they will deny they ever said things. They are extremely unprofessional including the sales manager. They have an attitude that there isn't any local competition, so they can treat you however they want. They don't honor any verbal commitments and conveniently don't inform you of information that would be pertinent to making a purchase decision. I had my 2005 6.0 diesel F 250 pu truck serviced here recently. Their diesel mechanic is 2nd to none. He called me 4 times to notify me of issues with my engine. Since driving it, (2 weeks) I am getting 1 mpg better. They are the guys to keep your Ford running well. read more

We were always treated so well at this dealership you'd have thought we'd bought our truck there. Ron, our diesel mechanic is totally amazing! His knowledge of his product is remarkable. He kept our truck humming! Mike, who always set-up our appointments, answered long-distance questions (as we were on the road traveling), got us in in such timely fashion, was always cheerful and kind. Over our years of towing and traveling, we always worked it out to be in Coos Bay and Tower Ford for as much maintenance as possible. Would not recommend going to them. Called just to get a simple quote and all I got was a half response. I called the service department per there recording. Someone answered and so I asked my question. They responded with sir you need to call the service department then transferred me. I asked how much it would be to change just my fan belt and was told " I have no idea how much a belt is but labor is somewhere upwards of $90 an hour". Then was told I can't get a price because there is probably more wrong with it then just the fan belt. That me giving them the make and model and what exactly I needed fixed wasn't enough info to give me a quote. So I asked again " I just need a total quote for just a fan belt replacement that's all I want you to work on". Response was I can't give you a quote because I don't know any prices except labor. So not even the service department can help you with service issues. read more

We started by having a air bag recall on 2010 Ranger while there my partner fell in love with a 2015 150 4x4 truck in the used car lot the salesman Brian said it was local but I wanted running boards back up camera and spray on liner he said if we paid for the liner $550.00 they would pay for the rest . Since we only have one rig we would need a loaner, so we had to have all done at one time. We bought truck on 6/18/2019 the appointment was set for 8/06/2019 Brian said he would call to confirm appointment he didn't we had to call. We took the truck in at 8 am on that day waited 45 minutes while he talked to someone, gave him the $550.00 then got the loaner and Brian said it would be done in a few days he would call, no call so we called one week later as Brian said it would be done in a few days nothing was done on truck so we waited one more week . Brian said he call again he didn't so when we called he was in Wyoming and didn't know what has been done. Surprise surprise he called to telling us everything was done but the liner he said if we left the truck three more days the liner would be done . So we waited to get pickup that Friday(three days later; 17 total days later no liner! He said their machine was broke ( for 17 days)! so he said he would re schedule for Sept. 3. So of course he didn't call us so we called to confirm appointment , oh, he forgot to make appointment! Did I mention I gave him $550. August 6. It is now Sept 4th. Since there is no communication , I will call sales manager to ask for my money I will pick it up this Friday. I will see the how this ends but if I could of have this dealership and Brian would of got a big fat 0. He very careful when dealing with dealership once they get your money they forget everything he sure to get everything in writing . Don't get you're hopes up . read more

I live in a mechanically "under-served" area and my 2000 f250 powerstroke with 300 thousand miles was in need of engine leak repairs to the new crank case pan, rear main, valve covers, high pressure oil hoses, steering, etc..
