I've been a happy customer of N. Bend Auto for over the last 20 years. Our customer connection…read morebegan w/ the 1999 Ford SD V10 work truck I used to drive (50k miles annually) when I was in Forestry management. That then evolved into my personal vehicles, such as my former Toyota Sequoia & they've been servicing our family's 2015 Sprinter van for the last several years. Unfortunately they no longer have the ability to work on Sprinter vehicles, but they still service the more common Ford, Chevy & Dodge trucks. They have a great reputation in our community & especially on the more common brands. With that in mind, they are understandably quite busy. I've always recommended people have their vehicles serviced here & the people are always happy they did.

Rune Borgir Local Guide·24 reviews·45 photos…read moreEdited 4 hours ago We are a 5 year customer of Tom's at North Bend Auto, and have spent well over $10k on our various vehicles since then, always happy with his services, repairs and explanations until now. Yesterday Tom refused to take back and refund us for a failed brake caliper assembly his shop installed that was 12 days beyond it's one year warranty period. His rationale was that we should have known to call a Napa certified warranty center as printed on our invoice from 9/23/2025. We were in Portland on Saturday morning when the brake fluid leaked out from an unknown source. We did not suspect it to be a faulty caliper that had just been replaced last fall. It wasn't until we found a weekend friendly, responsive repair shop (most of them had bots answering the phones) with a 4.8 rating and lots of very complimentary client reviews on his fairness of price, and had it towed to him, that we found out it was a failed caliper. It's kind of too late at that point to go find of certified NAPA Service center no? I immediately called Tom's North Bend Auto Care and left them a message, even though I knew they weren't open, just to report on the situation and tell him it was the driver side rear caliper. When I returned to North Bend and brought the failed caliper in he refused to take it back. He then sent me to Napa auto parts, who also refused to refund me, citing it was twelve days past this warranty period... I'm only writing this because if it were me in his position, I would have surely reimbursed him for the failed caliper, I'd taken it back to napa myself.... I'm very disappointed that tom did not honor this premature part failure it costs me $585 to replace. After just over a year....

Amazing service from Mike. I'm from out of state visiting and drove my Subaru WRX 1,000 miles here…read moreand was having a problem with my brakes. Not many shops in town work on Subaru's let alone a WRX. Reed's was fully booked yet they squeezed me in the same day because I would be leaving next week. They were honest and upfront and found the issue and fixed it quickly. They even told me to come back so they can double check before I hit the road again. Outstanding service! I highly recommend if you have an Asian vehicle to stop by and schedule with them!

Mike Reed is an excellent mechanic and wonderful person--knowledgeable, passionate about the work,…read morealways a pleasure. After decades of taking our cars to Reeds, I still recommend him, but can no longer recommend the shop as a whole because the office manager has become unreliable. I brought in a Toyota for inspection before a road trip. Mike and I spent half an hour examining the vehicle and agreeing on a plan. Then the office manager told me I would get an estimate within two weeks. Two weeks later, the estimate was not ready. She pointed to a stack of other customers orders and told me they were overwhelmed--now another two weeks with a promised call when ready, with work starting a month after that. Three weeks later, no call had come, so I stopped in again. The estimate was still not prepared. I was told it would be another week with a promised call when ready. I never received that call. After all those weeks I waited and time invested, not once did management show basic concern or offer an apology for the delays and unfulfilled promises. I found a new import shop who gets me in within days, communicates directly throughout the work, and texts me updates and progress photos--game changing difference in service. I'll miss Mike, but not the office runaround. It all worked out though--I now get quicker, friendlier service elsewhere.
