I was able to make my purchase fairly quickly. I will also say they Petco does have a wide array of pet treats and toys for animals beyond just cats and dogs that say a super market may not have.

He was professional, attentive, and handled my dog with care. Naturally, I rebooked--only to find out he was no longer available, and my appointment was reassigned to someone named Angela. From the start, this appointment was a nightmare. I gave clear instructions: * Don't dry my dog - he's fearful of loud noises * Don't trim his nails - we do that at the vet * I booked the first morning slot to minimize his stress and pick him up quickly I returned nearly 3 hours later to find my dog still locked in a kennel soaking wet, while Angela was grooming another dog. She ignored me at the counter. When I knocked on the glass, she came out visibly annoyed, told me my dog was "in the dryer," and walked away. Minutes later, I received a generic "your pet is ready" text, and the store manager appeared. Angela walked right past me without a word. When I voiced my concerns, the manager claimed Angela "felt threatened" by me and defended her behavior. No apology. No accountability. To top it off, my dog was handed to me still wet, confirming she had blatantly lied about drying him. I requested and received a refund, then filed a complaint with corporate. Shortly after, I discovered my grooming account was disabled, which feels retaliatory. This was by far the worst grooming experience I've ever had, made worse by the store manager enabling it. Neglecting basic instructions, being dismissive, and retaliating against valid complaints is completely unacceptable. Currently on my second complaint with Petco from this same experience and disabling of my account to book further appts.

After a long time, I've finally decided to write this review. I got my first cat here. I had not…read moredone enough research. I visited them and didn't think enough. But recently it struck me, this is a kitty mill. Our cat Scottie is very cute, very beautiful, but she's not perfect; her nose is too short so there's some issue with her tear duct. She's always in tear and there's always some stain under one of her eyes. When we first got her, they gave a little bottle of eye drops and told us our cat has a mild infection, the drop would clear that. Nope. This tear duct thing is for life, though minor. Scottie also came to us with parasites and fleas. How could she have been infected? I suppose the adult cats were not well taken care of, and for that matter, I have to say that the cat smell was very strong as soon as the house door was open. Litter dust was everywhere, probably just except for the "nursery". After getting Scottie, I continued to look at their website on and off. They always have many cats available. Too many. And the birth dates indicate that there are just many litters in a short span of time. All the time. How could this be? Do they not care about the mother cats, just keep making them mate? Or do they buy cats from elsewhere and pretend they have bred them? The breeder who I got my dog from only had 2 litters over the last 1.5 years, this cat breeder had so many I lost count. The dog breeder wanted to make sure the dog would be well taken care of and leave when it is the right time, she wouldn't give the pup to us until after the pup was 3 months and she checked in on us twice. This cat breeder wanted us to take the cat the same day we saw her, told us the kitten could go with us at 2 months and never initiated contact once we paid and picked up the kitten. There are a lot of cute kittens for adoption. We adored our second cat. And I pledge to never buy another cat. Even if you really want a specific breed, please look for a breeder that at least seems ethical.

I got mine scottish fold Teddy from Val in 2018. Its true Val was very sweet, nice and responsive until I had some healthy issue with the kitten. The day I took the cat home I found out it was infested with fleas. (which confirms what other reviewers were saying, and it does make me think too this might be a kitten mill ). I contacted her and she assured me there s nothing wrong with all her other cats and all the other buyers had not mentioned such (which reading from other reviews it's something she also says often to get out of a situation). Less than a year later my cat was diagnosed with a CONGENITAL heart defect, and dispute all efforts it passed away just a littler over one year old. Our hearts were broken and with a heavy heart I reached out to Val hoping to warn her about potential similar health issues happening to Teddy' siblings. Initially she responded and asked me to forward her all the medical records. As I did in December 2019 she said due to the holidays she was not able to look at them. I contacted her again multiple times in 07/2020 she never bothered to reply. When she finally did, she said her vet quit and she has no vet right now to proceed with the matter. So in my opinion, if you are ok with paying $1500 - $2000 for a kitten with no health guarantee if anything were to happen because of breeding or genetic problems then Val is your person. If you are lucky to get a healthy kitten then you will have a great experience just like all the people who have their positive reviews here. I m sure it would be a different story if they got a sick kitten instead. Whilst I understands that pets get sick and dies, but when it comes to something that's CONGENITAL, that happened within a year after I got him, I think any reputable breeder would be quick in action to resolve and make the difficult situation a bit more easy for the owner, unfortunately Val is not one.

So agitated that he repeated "no we're taking the puppies I told you it needed to be paid". When I told him to check his emails he basically denied me and told me "no puppies for you". It took an hour of his throwing a fit for him to provide us another payment option. He then charged us for the hour his staff was there because he wasn't at all concerned with helping us find another payment option. He was more concerned about yelling and saying "I told you". It was very very clear he has done this before. He wasn't at all concerned about a cute day full or serotonin for support teachers. He was concerned about upcharging guests and screaming on the phone. Extremely sexist. Truly sad that this seemed normal to him. Get puppies from a more caring person for your party. We were basically guilt tripped into paying with a card.

Buyer beware. Penny…read morewas recently diagnosed with a torn ACL in her left leg, as well as a luxating patella. She had surgery last week (9-9-21) to repair both knee issues. This is the same combination of injuries she had with her right leg, which required surgery (once when she about 1 1/2 y.o. for the patella, then again when the ACL tear was repaired in 2019). This is Penny's 4th surgery overall on one of her legs, and she's only 9 years old. The rehab and recovery for each of those surgeries is about 2 months. So you can imagine how hard it is to watch your beloved pet go in/out of surgery 4 separate times in such a short time span. Penny has also been prescribed medication for arthritis, a thyroid med, and a combination steroid/anti-inflammatory for chronic cough episodes that failure up due to a soft trachea. We love Penny, but this is a case of what happens when puppy mills supply pet stores with poorly bred animals. I see that Puppy Paradise store is for sale. yeah, that's probably best.
