After a long time, I've finally decided to write this review. I got my first cat here. I had not done enough research. I visited them and didn't think enough. But recently it struck me, this is a kitty mill. Our cat Scottie is very cute, very beautiful, but she's not perfect; her nose is too short so there's some issue with her tear duct. She's always in tear and there's always some stain under one of her eyes. When we first got her, they gave a little bottle of eye drops and told us our cat has a mild infection, the drop would clear that. Nope. This tear duct thing is for life, though minor. Scottie also came to us with parasites and fleas. How could she have been infected? I suppose the adult cats were not well taken care of, and for that matter, I have to say that the cat smell was very strong as soon as the house door was open. Litter dust was everywhere, probably just except for the "nursery". After getting Scottie, I continued to look at their website on and off. They always have many cats available. Too many. And the birth dates indicate that there are just many litters in a short span of time. All the time. How could this be? Do they not care about the mother cats, just keep making them mate? Or do they buy cats from elsewhere and pretend they have bred them? The breeder who I got my dog from only had 2 litters over the last 1.5 years, this cat breeder had so many I lost count. The dog breeder wanted to make sure the dog would be well taken care of and leave when it is the right time, she wouldn't give the pup to us until after the pup was 3 months and she checked in on us twice. This cat breeder wanted us to take the cat the same day we saw her, told us the kitten could go with us at 2 months and never initiated contact once we paid and picked up the kitten. There are a lot of cute kittens for adoption. We adored our second cat. And I pledge to never buy another cat. Even if you really want a specific breed, please look for a breeder that at least seems ethical. read more

It took me a long time to decide to write this review. I decided to wait to write this review because I want to be as objective as I can, so that I can tell everyone what happened to me, what I went through with Val and hopefully this can help you guys make a more informed decision . I got mine scottish fold Teddy from Val in 2018. Its true Val was very sweet, nice and responsive until I had some healthy issue with the kitten. The day I took the cat home I found out it was infested with fleas. (which confirms what other reviewers were saying, and it does make me think too this might be a kitten mill ). I contacted her and she assured me there s nothing wrong with all her other cats and all the other buyers had not mentioned such (which reading from other reviews it's something she also says often to get out of a situation). Less than a year later my cat was diagnosed with a CONGENITAL heart defect, and dispute all efforts it passed away just a littler over one year old. Our hearts were broken and with a heavy heart I reached out to Val hoping to warn her about potential similar health issues happening to Teddy' siblings. Initially she responded and asked me to forward her all the medical records. As I did in December 2019 she said due to the holidays she was not able to look at them. I contacted her again multiple times in 07/2020 she never bothered to reply. When she finally did, she said her vet quit and she has no vet right now to proceed with the matter. So in my opinion, if you are ok with paying $1500 - $2000 for a kitten with no health guarantee if anything were to happen because of breeding or genetic problems then Val is your person. If you are lucky to get a healthy kitten then you will have a great experience just like all the people who have their positive reviews here. I m sure it would be a different story if they got a sick kitten instead. Whilst I understands that pets get sick and dies, but when it comes to something that's CONGENITAL, that happened within a year after I got him, I think any reputable breeder would be quick in action to resolve and make the difficult situation a bit more easy for the owner, unfortunately Val is not one. read more

I found Valeriya on Instagram & I sent her a text message - the rest is history!!! From the beginning she was very kind, so flexible, you could just tell how much she cared for what she does. She invited me to view some of the kittens she had available since I live in NY and was just a drive away. She was so inviting! Her cats and kittens are very well cared for, which you see when you pick up or view the kittens - and it is SO amazing to see so many folds in one place, your heart melts. I picked up a Black Scottish fold who was a little older than the bunch (4 months), the previous person could no longer take him. But I fell in love with this fold!!! I took him home the same day. I still stay in touch with Valeriya as well as others in her group, and it's amazing to see how all of them are well cared for since birth. My little Boo is a little over 1 now currently & his personality hasn't changed a bit! He's so affectionate to everyone he meets, gets along very well with my other cat (older senior female) and is super spunky!! read more

I got my little dream bug Guy here. Val is so sweet, talked me through every step of getting him and was so nice and accommodating during the process, you can tell she really cares about these kitties and cats. I cannot emphasize how important it is to do your research about Scottish folds!!! Knowing what ethical breeding practices are is SUPER important to make sure you're getting healthy animals, and Valeriya is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the breed but about ethical breeding practices as well. I purchased my baby about 2.5 years ago (with my now ex),and he's the most amazing cat ever, not only is he incredibly cute, his temperament is unlike any other cat I've come across. He's social, curious, playful, tolerant of babies/children (who grab rather than pet) and random people touching him, vocal when he wants something, and above all loyal and loving. He's also incredibly smart and has learned to "sit", "high five, other paw", and "lay down" on command. My ex broke off our engagement and tried to keep him, but you best believe I was NOT letting that happen even if the a**hole made me pay him back for the half he contributed. Avoid this kitten mill, and the tax-evading, non LLC holding, non-CFA accredited, cold-hearted "breeder" who is profiting off of selling sick cats. My whole family adored my Trey, but he came to us sick. Within a week of taking Trey home, I took him to a reputable veterinary hospital for his first visit. The doctors spent days trying to figure out why he would barely eat and had little to no energy. He got better for a little while, and after informing Valeriya of this she quickly got on the aggressive, saying I didn't know anything about cats, to keep my house clean (because an overcrowded dump in Brooklyn where I picked him up was considered clean?!? Honestly..) and that my vet was dumb and she had the best one. After I refused to give him back because I fell in love with my new FAMILY member and it's a life with a soul, not a purse (plus it's my right) or take him to her vet who was "the only one who could get him better, I've seen this before" (*shady*), I accepted i'd never receive a dime from her, even though she broke the NY state lemon law, but after the condition we received Trey in we knew he wouldn't receive the love and medical care that any animal deserved and we wanted him to die with dignity. The "breeders" (plural) never cared for this amazing soul, and he deserved to live whatever life god gave him in a loving home. Trey was diagnosed with FIP and died 4 weeks later. I immediately informed Valeriya who responded with cruelty and no emotion. I was shocked thinking she'd want to know that her other cats were sick and urged her to take them to the vet. I soon learned from another buyer (also posted below) that her cat had FIP as well. Her kitten came from the same place, and was sold after I told Valeriya about Trey's illness. This "breeder" knows their cats are sick and only cares about profit. Trey was the cutest, sweetest kitten in the world and my family still cries and misses his companionship everyday. Scottish folds are the best but the way these cats are being bred is cruel and any cat lover should avoid at all costs. Oh, also, check to see which state your kitten had it's first vaccines. I can guarantee you it isn't NY - or any where on the east coast for that matter. read more

We have had our Scottish Fold kitten for 4 days and so far is the purrfect little kitty. She acts like she has been here forever....she never hides, is totally litter trained, is affectionate and beautiful.I had been researching this breed for quite a while and had some communication with other breeders. There are some unethical/scammers out there I have discovered. Some even get kitties from out of the country in "bulk" and then try to resell them. Their prices are less than half and the owners cannot even tell you about the kitty's parents. The owner of Luxury Kitten, Valeriya was in NY so I did all my communication with her young assistant. He sent me current pictures and videos of the kitten we were interested in. He was even so accommodating that he offered to drive her 8 hours on a day's notice (he drove all night). My Scottish Fold is not only one of the most beautiful and healthy cats I've seen, but was socialized from the day he was born which is a HUGE advantage if you want a loving and social pet with a great personality. Valeriya allowed him to interact with other cats as well as humans so that the transition between homes went smoothly. She was very informative on which types of food would be best for him and I was able to see pictures of his parents. She delivered him right to the airport with his favorite toy where I picked him up in person.
