She specifically told me to go for the wide variety of vegan/plant based selections as well as the awesome discounts they give on things that are close to going out of date. Let me tell you- I'm so happy I did! I got 3 packs of plant based meat for .99 cents, and a lot of other items worth around $6 each just for .99 cents. If you pay attention, yes Ingles can be a bit pricy, but notice the sales- you can find prices here better than any other store if it's on sale! They carry a LOT of local items and items made by small businesses too, which I love. Lastly, their bakery, deli, salad bar, and hot food bar are insanely large! A must try? The pistachio muffin! Scrumptious! This is our new go to grocer. I can't believe I finally found some of my favorite brands I haven't seen since I worked at Sprouts down in Florida!

Food was ready at 11am and it rarely ever was before. Food was hot and smelled great. I asked the manager where deli staff was. He said we've hired all new deli staff. More people left the day I did. There was a long line this morning. Good. People have come back as I have and hope to put this store back on my list again. The food was delicious and the staff very efficient. It is a different experience coming to Aldi, because they do not seem to have an over abundance of processed foods, which I am really happy about. They do have everything you absolutely need in abundance. And some really great things you will want to put in your cart just because. The chocolate is the BEST!! And not overpriced. They have some name brand things as well. But, I have really liked their brands. One thing about this store I can say, if you see something you like, buy it now! It might not be there again. Things come and go. Some things are seasonal. So buy'em when you see 'em! Aldi just recently lowered their prices nationally again, which I think is pretty amazing. Also, it's always clean, and the service is friendly and super, super fast so don't let the lines worry you. Don't forget to bring your own bags, and a quarter for the cart!

This happened at store number #18804. I am boycotting DollarGeneral in Lenoir, NC based on the…read moreexperience I encountered with their clerks this morning. I had two separate transactions (I was picking up stuff for my mom and myself). On the first transaction I used one of my credit cards. No problem. Got my receipt and continued. On my second transaction, I used the $100 bill my mom gave me for her things. This is when it started. The first cashier questioned the authenticity of the bill. Completely acceptable, there are thieves out there. They held it to the light. They continue to question it. I offer another form of payment (it's only like $20 or so worth of merch). I was ignored. Then the cashier, Stella I believe, proceeded to attempt to hand the $100 to other customers asking if they thought it was real. I asked about a marking pen to verify its a real bill, and the response was they had lost it. So now I'm standing there with a line of people built up behind me and feel as if I'm being accused of being dishonest. I offered to wait if they would like to call the non emergency line of the local sheriff and see if they'd be willing to come check it out. I even pulled that number up on my phone and offered to give it to them. Here's the thing: I can trace that exact bill from the bank. If it's fake then the bank handed out a fake bill. There is not a sign or policy with DG not to accept large bills (i.e. 7/11 has a sign on the door stating they don't accept bills larger than $20's). IMO this was not the way you treat any customer. They eventually accepted the bill, but only after I stated I wanted a refund from my previous purchase. Stella (the cashier) responded to my refund request by stating, "We will just take it and if it's fake I guess we will just eat it." So their concern for the bill was superceded by the threat of doing more work to refund my purchase. It wasn't important enough, or they didn't have enough concern over the bill to call the sheriff or refund my money, only enough to make me look like a dishonest thief in front of other customers. I was made to look dishonest in front of the other customers even after they accepted the bill. I will never go back to DG, WalMart is just as close.
