This coffee shop was close to our airbnb so we decided to stop by before heading out for the day. There are quite a few tables so we were easily able to find a place to sit even though it was busy. There was free wifi which is pretty standard for cafes/restaurants in Oxford. I ordered a pot of their loose leaf tea and a slice of lemon blueberry cake. The slice was pretty generous and filled with lots of fresh blueberries. I really liked the vanilla frosting but I found the cake to be a little too moist/sweet for my taste. 4 stars only because the food options were limited to cakes.

It's dark, and sometimes they cappuccino is great, and sometimes it's just burnt and bubbly. But Taylors next door serves a decent cup of Illy. It's just a good breakfast place. I usually love the eggs florentine if I'm going savory. However the portions are a bit on the small size for my brunch loving American self. Seems like a local trend here that french toast, although delicious, is a single thin slice of white bread. But at least they have plenty of pastries to top off with your meal. They also shine on cakes and cake decor. You normally have to order a day before, but their cakes are worth it. I ordered the Fraser cake for my husband's birthday and it was a hit with the whole family. Worth the walk for a morning bite.

This cafe was superb, the selection was incredible and the first bite was delicious. Not only do they have pastries and desserts but they have various jams and sandwiches and chocolate and wines and everything you'd expect a great french cafe to have. Now I would recommend various pastries and desserts but that wouldnt be fair. I had the hardest time trying to choose what I wanted. Everything just looked so damn good. And the smell..oh god the smell. I could live in there. O sweet maison blanc I long to visit you again soon.

Easy to order from the screen but they're super helpful if you're stuck or don't know how to navigate it. An old man actually showed up while I was ordering and he had no clue what to do. He must have been in his 80s, it was nice to see how chilled and super patient he was helped by the guy behind the counter, who walked and helped him. Cheers to that. The place itself is so clean and super spacious. Two levels with the WC on the bottom level. The large windows on the top level allow you to seat and watch the street outside. The chairs to lounge are super cozy and comfy. My coffee latte was super tasty and my ham and cheese sandwich was the perfect combination of sweet and savory.

If you add extra toppings they just will not add them. You have to wait over 10 minutes after recieving it for it to melt even to the extent that you can begin breaking up the solid frozen block of acai, banana, granola, and penut butter. Even once it has thawn enought to attempt to eat it, all components are bland and flavourless. Also insanely expensive (£8+) for an approx 7.5 cm diameter bowl of frozen, flavourless slop.
