In the heart of Malibu lies Barefoot Dreams, a brand that began on QVC and transformed into what it is today... the epitome of comfort, grace and style. Renowned for their ultra-soft blankets, robes, and loungewear, Barefoot Dreams is a go-to brand for chic comfort. You will feel so comfortable in anything that you buy at this store. In 2020, Barefoot Dreams opened its flagship store in Malibu, a warm and welcoming destination rooted in nature. Inspired by the local community, the store radiates casual elegance. A second location followed, cementing Barefoot Dreams' presence in Malibu. From QVC to Malibu's coolest store, Barefoot Dreams weaves comfort, style, and philanthropy into their brand. Barefoot Dreams embodies the spirit of compassion and timeless style, embracing the essence of Malibu. Honestly! if there was a ever a store that completely embodies the Malibu lifestyle... it is this brand.

The chocolate base in particular is deep and creamy, with a texture that feels more like gelato than standard soft serve. Portions are generous, presentation is sleek, and everything feels very on-brand. The Malibu location really elevates the experience: relaxed outdoor seating, ocean-adjacent vibes, and a calm, sunny atmosphere that makes it ideal for a post-beach treat. It's definitely on the pricier side, but you're paying for quality, consistency, and the full experience. If you're looking for elevated ice cream that feels both indulgent and aesthetic, Kith Treats Malibu delivers every time.

To be honest, Fendi dragged me inside and liked the blue tie dye hoodie. The shop staff, maybe the owner, was cordial towards me and Fendi. There was a beautiful print long kaftan like dress that caught my attention. Upon inquiring, the shop owner was delighted and wanted me to try it on. This dress was the priciest item in the store, it figures! I'm always drawn to the spendy stuff :( When I don't have Fendi in tow, I'll return to try in on...although I know for a fact loose clothing looks better on a hanger than on me :/ form fitting looks better on my physiqué. The shop mostly has things tourists like. Everything from sweatshirts, hoodies and baseball caps in tie dye and labeled ' MALIBU' It goes without say, most locals will not wear this labeled MALIBU. Nonetheless very eye catching and cute and probably cool for some and worth a look see visit.

A shiny big hat inside Encore drew me in, see the pic. It was expensive, and I was told of a celeb who bought one. I looked around at the clothes, and they were more than just sharp, they were fun. And I'm a girl who loves to have fun. Then I spotted those green glasses on the counter. Tried them on, with the green outfit I was wearing. Found out they were on sale for 20% off. Enough. I was sold. But......the strength I needed had to be ordered, so that was done. And a few days later I got the call to pick them up. Obviously, service here is perfection. And friendly to boot. I told Encore's proprietor, Diana, all about Yelp. And now I'm telling Yelpers all about Encore. And not everything at Encore is expensive. My glasses ended up costing 50 bucks, not bad for great quality. And I got a matching green case as part of the deal. I would have paid 30 bucks for reading glasses at Walgreens, and they would have been ugleeeee, and minus the cool case. Momma Yelp will be rockin' those sweet green specs at the Holiday event, look out.

One of the best boutiques ever. There are locations in Calabasas, Studio City, Del Rey, Westlake,…read moreVentura, and Agoura Hills. The stores are limited to Southern California; so, when I first moved to Los Angeles and began to explore (shopping is an activity that I just can't help but do everyday, whether I had it in mind to do or I had a full day in my "planner" ...actually, back in 2007, I did have a big "At-a-Glance" planner with an entire page per day... Anyway, I stumbled upon the Calabasas Commons because I had looked up in that app, "Around Me" and found that close to one of my three jobs I worked while going to School for my Doctorate, the Calabasas Commons was on my way home from work to where I lived in West Hollywood. I stopped by right away because it mentioned a Barnes & Noble being one of the stores there. First, I spotted M. Fredrick. I saw those gorgeous, hand-picked by their buyer. I didn't realize quite how much less expensive ever was in LA compared to San Francisco. Now, this many years later, it's no longer a thought nor a thing because I've lived here so long, but it was astonishing to me back when I was freshly 22. I picked out about 20-25 pieces of the most beautiful jeans, sweaters, shirts, shoes, tank tops and dresses. I also bought a pair of sweatpants that felt like thick silk, but mostly, like a white tiger- they were the first thing I bought the next morning on my break from work; so, I vividly remember that they were $600 before tax, which, to be honest, I did think they were on the pricey side, but I didn't think of it again. The many items I had purchased the afternoon prior came to almost $23,000, but I never ever in my life looked at prices of anything, so, it was no thing and to this day, I remember probably 7/8ths of what I bought. The clothes were definitely worth it and I would do it again, even now. The only problem is that they don't make clothes how they used to. We don't have the materials or aren't willing to use them on designer boutique clothing. Every chance I could, I went to an M. Fredric store for the next 10 years.

I kept asking him to check the back for different sizes and items (probably more times than I should have), and every time he did it with a smile like it was no problem at all. Walked out with some great clothes, and must say Fabrizio's energy made the whole experience that much better. Definitely a 10/10 experience. I'll absolutely be coming back. Thanks again, Fabrizio.

Since I couldn't focus on the map (I really needed to go!!!) I decided to just stop here and ask where the restrooms are. I was given specific instructions and found one around the corner from here. Hubbers and I decided to come back to see what goodies they had to offer. I will admit that they're very pricey for our taste but that didn't matter - they didn't have anything we liked. So why the 5 stars? Because the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They treated us like we just bought the entire store. They even offered us free beverage while we shopped, whether it's at their store or not. Who does that! So kudos to the staff! Thank you for making us feel so welcomed in your store!

I decided to visit the store instead of ordering online because I wanted to make sure I got the correct size. The first time I visited this location, an employee named Hannah (I believe that was her name) helped me. She's short with jet black hair. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude. While I was asking questions about sizing, she seemed annoyed and gave off the impression that she didn't want to help. The second time I visited the store was today, on my birthday. I wanted to buy something as a gift to myself. She happened to be there again, and when I asked about an item on the silver rack she was once again very rude and dismissive. She looked like she either hates her job or just didn't want to deal with me. Another employee ended up helping my friend and me. She had an accent (I didn't catch her name), but she was much kinder and actually helpful, so I appreciated that. The store itself is really cute. The design feels very 70s-inspired and they even have a lounge-style seating area that feels like a waiting room. They also regularly have items on outside sale racks--things like bathing suits, hats, shirts, leggings, and sweatpants. Parking is not great. You may have to park across the road for free parking or drive further down to find a spot. Also, because the store is in Malibu, expect heavy traffic. Overall, I probably won't be returning to this location. Now that I know my size and have a few pieces from the brand, I'll likely just order online. It's nice to go into a store the first time to feel the fabric and see how things fit, but the customer service here made the experience disappointing.
