In October of 2025 I brought my 2016 Hyundai Tucson to the Dover, DE location for a set of brakes…read moreand rotors (I can't remember if it was front or back at this point it's been so long) and four new tires. I paid $1600 for the service. About a week later, the front tire on the passenger side falls off my car (due to improperly installed lug nuts) while it's in motion. This caused extensive damage that ended up totaling my car. The company accepted full liability, but once they learned that the damage would cost more to fix than the value of my car, they were no longer willing to fix it. The claims department offered a settlement for what they deemed to be the value of the car. Although, I was financing the vehicle, so I could not accept it. Aside from the eventual conclusion of the car being deemed a total loss, I had to deal with a tow truck driver threatening to impound my car due to not being paid by Firestone. I also had to deal with Enterprise Rental Car threatening to charge my debit card since they hadn't been paid either. Both situations took emotional distress and anger on my part to resolve. The accident happened in October of 2025 and my car wasn't fully evaluated and totaled out until February of 2026. This was a long, drawn out, tragedy that I was made to pay out of pocket for due to the circumstances. Go ANYWHERE else!

I had not heard anything from by 6pm so I called them and they said they had not gotten to it and would not be able to get to to it that day. I told them that I needed the vehicle by 12pm the next day. I called the next day at 11:30am and asked what what going on with the vehicle. The guy responded they had not gotten to it. I ask why did I even schedule an appointment for 3pm the previous day ? His response well we had a lot of Enterprise cars to take care of. I told him that I would be there at 12pm to get my car and not to do anything. This was a total waste of my time and someone totally forgot about our car. There was no apology, no nothing, I pick up the car and they said nothing. They didn't care. That is last time I will ever go to a Firestone!

Took my car here for a check engine light after pep boys told me a solenoid needed to be replaced and they couldnt do it. The owner Chris re-diagnosed the the problem and agreed a solenoid needed to be replaced. He charged me almost $800 dollars and when I picked the car up the check engine light was still on and I now had a completely flat tire. Chris tried to tell me the tire was probably already leaking before I dropped it off despite me having driven hundreds of miles with no issues over the last several weeks. We then discovered there was a nail now in the tire that one of his employees had driven over in their parking lot. They patched the tire and told me they would fix the problem. Chris calls me 2 days later saying now he thinks its just the wiring but it will cost another $600 dollars to fix. He stated its not his fault he didnt fix the problem correctly the first time since "I told him to fix the solenoid" even though he called me and said he diagnosed that as the problem as well. He finally fixed a wiring issue after a week of working on the car and charged an additional $600 because he could figure out the problem the first time. The professional thing to do would have been to correctly diagnose and fix the problem the first time like a competent mechanic instead of becoming defensive and blaming the customer and the charging them twice for your own incompetence. If I could give 0 stars I would TLDR: I asked this guy to fix a check engine light. He couldnt figure out the problem, blamed me, popped one of my tires and charged me twice. I will never go back. Please do not waste your money here.

Took my car to hopefully get it fixed. Was told it couldn't be fixed. Didn't change me anything…read more Was able to find another mechanic that was able to diagnose and fix the problem

Last Friday afternoon, I picked up and paid for my 1987 Dodge Ramcharger…read more I had to bring my vehicle back after only about 3-4 months after they performed over $3,800(!) in repairs. The reason for the return visit was a "block off" plug just fell out ("rattled out", their words) on one of the 2 new exhaust manifolds that they had just replaced. No only would they not take ownership on an obvious "comeback", they charged me $85 to diagnose their own failure in workmanship. I also requested (me, not them) to have the both valve cover gaskets & all 8 spark plugs replaced. (V8 motor). I was bringing it back for the previously discussed oil leaking valve cover gaskets and the oil soaked (on the exterior) spark plugs from prior $3,800 visit. I didn't have an issue with either their hourly rate or the labor times charged, but I was price gouged over $120 for 8 Champion CopperPlus resister type regular spark plugs (NAPA list, $5.99/ea.) and over $75 for the set of Fel-Pro valve cover gaskets (NAPA list, $32.99). That's more than DOUBLE the list price on parts. I was planning on bringing my wife's Sentra back in again, but not now, not ever. You'd figure with the cost of advertising and new customer acquisition, they would want to retain existing customers, but obviously not.

MY HUSBAND, not my boyfriend, came into your repair shop for assistance with getting bolts unscrewed for our driver side mirror, so we could replace the mirror ourselves. We did not need the mirror removed and the new one put on only the bolts removed. That part is fine; that's not the problem at hand. The broken part is. After my husband left, after simply allowing you to remove the broken driver's mirror and put on our new one, we noticed a crack on the covering of the passenger mirror that was clearly caused by one of your repair guys. We brought it back and showed you because it wasn't properly placed on and it was damaged. You even said, "This is why we don't do these jobs." My husband and I both have photos and evidence to prove every claim. Shortly after waiting to speak with the repair guys directly, my husband spoke to your repair guys while I stood right beside him. We both told him it was cracked and that it wasn't this way before it was a brand new part. He said he didn't know anything about the damage but fixed it. My husband told me not to worry about the chipped piece because this was becoming too much, and he fixed to where you could no longer see the crack and it was on so I didn't bother to continue. Please be honest and take accountability. Don't make false claims or assumptions about me or my husband we have the facts and the evidence to prove all claims.* Again, I DO NOT recommend this dealership under any circumstances. We went in for a simple job just to have two bolts unscrewed to remove the old mirror so we could put on the new one ourselves. This should've taken one to two minutes if they had the proper tools, yet they charged us $90 for what was a basic, quick job of removing the broken mirror and putting on the new parts. We had our own parts and pieces just not the tools to remove the bolts and allowed them to move forward. Fine. $90 bucks. no biggie. But they broke a part of my vehicle, a piece that covers the back, and never said a word. We noticed the damage ourselves. When we mentioned it, they acted like it was suddenly a big deal, asking unnecessary questions about where we got the mirror from, as if that mattered. No accountability. No honesty. From the moment we walked in, the owner Donna even said, "This is why we don't do these types of jobs," as if that excuses her employees carelessness or the damage they caused. A small, simple job turned into a major problem, and the staff clearly cannot be trusted. Donna whomever that replied to my review is rude, not honest, lacks accountability for her staff, and comes off extremely discriminatory insulting. This is my husband for God sakes, not some boyfriend from the street. One of your guys chipped our part and didn't put it on correctly! That's all. We both agreed on this review. Thank you.
