All dogs we have met have been nice and ready to make new friends. There is lots of room to run. :) 2) The humans are just as nice as the dogs who visit. In fact, there is a nice community of humans who visit, so most of the time the humans have a chance to socialize as well as their dog counterparts. Everyone seems to be willingly to pitch in to take care of the park as well, with some bringing water for the bowls and more baggies for cleanup. 3) It's a lot quieter than Stow's Bow Wow Beach. Not going to lie, Bow Wow Beach is our favorite playground, but in the winter it's closed and a lot of the time there's so much going on there it's a little overwhelming. Keyser is nice, I never seen more than 5 dogs there at one time. Would HIGHLY recommend to new owners trying out the off leash dog playgrounds. It's a nice baby step for both human owners and dogs. *only note: while there are no hours for the dog park there are no lights on the premise.

The lake was beautiful, and wow the pier was just awesome i have never seen such beauty. It was very nice seeing all the amazing dogs running around and playing. The walking paths around the entire lake was very well kept my sister was in shock of how beautiful it was. We had to go to the small dog area since Milo is small and was scared or everything and crying, while snow was just happy to be around all the dogs and sniff there butts. But after a while Milo got comfortable and was able to return with the big dogs and he was happy. Anyway great experience; we loved it.

There's gate and fence are safe. There's are amenities like a doggy fountain, benches, trash, bags. The only issue is when it has rained, the park is a mess. Water must not drain well and it becomes a swamp in the following days. I've lost a shoe in the mud before. And Winnie has lapped up muddy water puddles before. We've never had a problem with any other dogs or owners. Highly recommend!

I live near this park and have been using it for over 60 years. Here is some updated information:…read moreSwimming is no longer allowed. (for humans) Dogs can swim on Thursdays only. There is no charge to get in. The paved road around the lake has been split into a one-way driving/biking road and a with an adjacent walking lane. There is a Hike/bike trail called The Freedom Trail that borders this park. Metro Parks Summit County is going to add a connector trail between them in 2026. The Freedom Trail in this area is a rail trail, so it is pretty flat. There is an area called Tallmadge Meadows that to me is a separate park, because the two areas have very different prior ownership and history, but Metro Parks considers them to be the same park. The parking for Tallmadge Meadows is right around the corner from South River Rd. on South Main St. (Rt 91). There is also a trailhead in Munroe Falls for the Summit County Bike and Hike Trail. It is about a ¼ mile North of South River Rd and runs along the Cuyahoga River. I used to be a Firefighter/EMT in Munroe Falls and it was not unusual for us to get called out to the "Metro Park" and have to ask, "which one"? All 3 of these are great parks and I consider myself luck to live in between them.

Although I only observed the dog park section (my dogs don't like water); everyone there was having a blast! Owners got to jump off the large deck into a deep pool with their canines and enjoy the beautiful weather. Trail markers , paved trails, even a bi monthly quaterly magazine, listing all sorts of events. This was my first visit to an Ohio park to explore, and will defintly check out other locations in the near future. The vistor center staff were friendly ; the center itself was marvelous with variety of things to explore,the tree exhibit, the bird feeding area, kids area , turtles and the akorn gift shop. The gift shop shaped in a Maple leaf, in my opinion was genuis , simple addition to center for kids and nature lovers. Fall will be approaching soon; be sure to hike and enjoy the beauty of nature with exercise and fresh air.
