WARNING: GRILL ISLANDS BUILT BY THIS STORE CAN RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION. Buyer Beware. Brian (manager), Preston, and Noel are the most incompetent staff I've ever had to deal with in any business transaction. I could detail all of the errors and mistakes these three made. I had to get my issue escalated up to the corporate office & CEO of Barbecues Galore. Instead of going into all the details, I'll just say this: If any of the three people above built you a custom grill island, they will build it with possible catastrophic results. They will install the grill air vents at the bottom of your natural gas grill island. Natural gas is *lighter than air* and will rise. This means if there's a natural gas leak, the entire grill island will trap and fill up with natural gas. When I brought this issue up to the store staff, they said they've *been installing grill islands like this for seven years* and there's never been an issue. The arrogance of this staff to claim they're smarter than physics and that they know better than basic gas properties. I caught the mistake and pushed for a resolution. The casual homeowner may not know or realize, or even worse, trust that this company knows what they're doing. They DO NOT know what they're doing. When you mix in natural gas into the equation, their incompetence can be deadly. read more

Noel quoted us grills that were cheaper than what they had in stock to sell, which felt a little like a bait and switch. So, we settled for a floor model because it would arrive ASAP (we had a going away party upcoming). Turns out they also didn't communicate it could take weeks to arrive because of their weird delivery company and lack of prioritization to converting the item to Natural Gas. After weeks missed delivery dates, someone called to let me know they would deliver today (Saturday). I'm now traveling but nobody let me know this would be an issue until they were on their way. Suffice to say, communication was not at its best and ultimately I've decided to order from somewhere with a little more ability to work with my needs as the customer. Not the expected experience when trying to pay $4k for something read more

Outstanding customer support from Kyle and ownership. I purchased a high end Twin Eagles built-in 30" bbq which was replacing a 27" DCS bbq. Was a tricky installation, calling for cutting my brick top to make it fit. The first crew struggled with the installation. Barbeques Galore got a second crew who did a great job on installation. read more

Guys came yesterday. The grill is finally where it should be. This has been an absolute nightmare and I'm glad it's hopefully over. Things that were wrong with the $10,000 BBQ when I got it. One of the screws on the inner panel was completely stripped out and jammed halfway in its assigned hole. I tapped it and fixed that myself. I don't think the customer should have to open up the rotisserie motor and lube it themselves either. The light switch has been a complete pain in the ass until now. In the future just know that 7 months to get a $10,000 grill where it should have been at the time of delivery is absolutely unacceptable. I do wanna thank you for being as helpful as you could be during the process. I do applaud YOU, but will not be buying a grill from you guys again. read more

They're located in a shopping center, and parking wasn't a problem. Their showroom is big enough, with a good variety/selection of backyard accessories in store. We went there looking for patio heaters, and they had portable, propane ones on display, as well as wall mounted electric and gas ones. The salesman was mostly knowledgeable on what they sold, and he even had a brochure that we took home. I'd go back here again. read more

Great customer service. I want to thank Noel Escamilla from Barbeques Galore on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego. He went above & beyond working with me on selecting equipment for my new BBQ/Entertainment area. He answered every question and did not push any equipment. He just listened and gave pros/cons for each piece. Then he followed up with design placing items selected. If you're looking for equipment this is the place to go. read more

Buyer Beware! I ordered three Wildfire cabinet doors two years ago from BBQ Galore. Two of them arrived in new condition with plastic protection on the black doors. One arrived without the plastic wrap on the doors, which were dirty and had a blemish in the finish. This was obviously an open box/used/returned item. I called BBQ Galore to see if they could do anything about it. They said it was way outside their policy period so they couldn't do anything. They said that since it had been so long, how did they know I didn't remove the plastic protection sheets. My fault for not opening all the boxes to check the product when I received them. Shame on BBQ Galore for shipping an open box/used item for which I paid $600 (for the one door). Lesson learned - open all your packages when received to check for damage or used products since BBQ Galore doesn't always ship new product when the customer orders new product. read more

I had a great experience buying my barbecue here. They delivered it on time and there were no issues at all. I would buy from them again

I had a great experience at BBQ Galore Kearny Mesa San Diego. I purchased the SEARWOOD 600 24" PELLET Grill. The Grill is Electric. The Beef, Pork, Poultry. Are delicious. No more over grilling on the Meats & Poultry. The BB Ribs are delicious. It has a built in Probe. It tells you when your food is ready. Your phone is connected to the Weber Grill via WI FI read more

Spent $3k on a grill with lifetime warranty to put in my island. Called for the parts that are covered by said warranty. Am being told they don't make those any more. I'm, so how does that work for a 'lifetime' warranty??? I asked what she could do, get this..... I can offer you 15% off (parts that should be free) but we don't make them. So sorry Charlie. Henrick, thank you, makes sense, guess you should put it in writing as such. All of my appliances are still ticking as we are very anal in how we take care of things and what brands we buy. read more

Great customer service. Other BBQ store gave me a huge excuse of why they can't price match because of covid lead times. I had no problem at all here, a quick phone call and they had the product ready for me at the store for pick up. Have a great variety of smoking woods here and lump charcoal. Will be back when i need items in a pinch! read more

They have everything you need but you can't use anything that is their brand. The cabinets are built for outdoor use but the components they use are not. All the screws are rusting and that rust drips onto the drawer face staining them. It's only a mater of time before the drawers start to fail. Until then i have to wipe rust off the 7 cabinets i have installed. You can't change out cabinets built into stone or concrete without a major renovation so don't make the mistake i made. Just move on... read more

I really appreciate this spot for picking up unique rubs I can't find anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and informative.

How is this even possible? This place has 2 1/2 stars but BBQ Grill Outlet has 5 stars? After our sh*tty experience at BBQ Grill Outlet, we stopped by BBQ Galore to shop for a new built in grill. We were greeted by Brian and long story short, what a dude. Answered all our questions, showed us many options within our budget, pointed out all the differences between manufactures, why some grills cost up to 10k when some are less than 3k. Came back the next day and placed the order. Great communication throughout the delivery process, even managed to get it installed in time for a housewarming party. So again, do your own research! Do not be blindly guided by yelp reviews. If it was up to me the stars would be reversed. Thank you again to Brian and the whole crew at BBQs Galore. read more

I was in the market for a new outdoor kitchen and walked into this store. I was met by Paxton, who provided EXCELLENT service. He was extremely knowledgeable with all the products. Why this place is rated so low I have no clue! It's an amazing company! I was visiting the website and I needed some guidance so I began a chat with a rep. I was happy to find they carry the "Kamado Joe" and as well wanted to know if I could visit to purchase with a sales rep. I had mentioned how my husband is deployed and I wanted to welcome him home with a surprise. The owner of the company, "Henrik" whom is retired USMC had seen what I'd mentioned. The rep asked if he could call me and I was beyond shocked, he called to thank my husband for his service and thanked me as well. I've never had this happen before and was so thankful and touched that he did that! Brian was the sales rep that assisted me and was super friendly and welcoming. Full of knowledge and helped me decide on the right size KJ, broke down the best deal and accessories. I will truly say you're missing out by not choosing Barbeques Galore! read more

I am very disappointed with the employees of this store. October 2020 we ordered a grill, nobody kept me informed during the 3 months wait time on how the delivery was going. After 3 months we finally pick it up. Just recently in September 2021 the igniter does not work, I called spoke with Preston he took al my information, and said fire magic would be contacting. Two weeks went by nobody contacted me, I call the store again and another employee tells me that I have to contact fire magic directly. I was very upset. It has not been a year, what kind of warranty do these people offer. Ridiculous. It was not a cheap grill. read more

We recently purchased a barbecue from BBQ Galore, and the model was on backorder. We were told they would call with an update on delivery. After never hearing from them, we called and were told it was in and we could schedule a delivery. (no phone call from them). We were told the installation and delivery was $165. including a cover for the unit. Seeing as we already had a cover and didn't need theirs, they took $50. off the installation charge, bringing it to around $115.00. Delivery was scheduled between 12:00-4:00. At 11:00 that day they called to say they were here, and where were we? Upon delivery, they realized they could not install the unit and theyoo said we needed to call a plumber in to do it. We did that, and paid the plumber $100. for the installation. We called the store to ask for price adjustment on the installation, and were told theyd check and get back to us. We didn't hear anything so we called again, and were told they'd check and get back to us. 4 calls to them later, we were told it wasn't their fault it couldn't be installed so they wouldn't give a credit adjustment. They said we already received a $50.00 discount on it. We reminded them it was for the cover we weren't getting but they wouldn't refund anything. Customer service at the Clairemont Mesa BBQ Galore is awful. They don't return a phone call. They don't follow through with what they say they are going to do and they simply do not care. They could have said, we're sorry, we can't refund the money, but we'll make it up to you by giving you some bbq tools, or a grill basket, or some seasonings, or SOMETHING, instead of just saying.... nope, it wasn't our fault. There are many places you can buy a Weber BBQ. My suggestion would be to go anyplace else, probably pay less money and have better customer service than we received from BBQ Galore on Clairemont Mesa Bl. in San Diego. read more

You can find anything related for BBQing here. All the latest and greatest. The only thing is that it's super expensive. The markup is crazy. Customer service is pretty average too unless your a super baller then they give you super extra great customer service. I did find what I was looking for and ended up spending $90. Quality products but not worth the trip. read more

On Saturday I came here with my friend to assist him in purchasing a Weber Genesis II grill. I had done quite a bit of internet research earlier in the morning and knew that Weber seems to have very tight control over their grill prices so no matter where you buy the grill the price will be the same. But I did expect that a full service store like this could at least throw in something, delivery, training, tongs, anything, just make us feel like you want the business. Store website says they price-match. That is absolutely not true. I acknowledged the price is same everywhere except that both Lowes and Home Depot give a 10% discount to US military veterans and my friend is a veteran. I even showed the picture of this policy on the Lowes website. Answer was a lot of dancing around, well we price match but you have to go there and bring us back a written quote. Sales guy did nothing at all to sell us. He pretty much could not have done less to persuade us to want to buy from them. Went to lunch in the same plaza and I called another grill store who quickly told us they would honor the 10% veterans discount. And, instead of the $168 assembly & delivery charge their charge was only $50. Barbeques Galore does not want the business so they will not get any more of my business in the future. read more

Really? I gave BBQG 3489.00 dollars for a grill. It came with a 10 year warranty on the chassis, of which I needed repairs. I then paid them 90 dollars for a house call. A day later the BBQG rep called me back and stated that they do not honor past warranties due to their resent bankruptcy. What a great deal for the consumer..... Oh but they did offer to sell me a replacement. Should I give them another chance; maybe they will honor the warranty this time. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice..... What am I stupid? Now it looks like all the grills are made in China anyway.. read more

After the closure of the La Mesa store, this location has become my go-to place for barbecue supplies. Good customer service, and a huge selection of supplies for all things barbecue, grilling, and smoking. They have a whole section of their store dedicated to spices and rubs, and another whole section for smoking charcoal and wood chunks. Their prices are a little higher for the basic supplies than what you'd pay at a general purpose hardware or grocery store, but for the specialty and hard-to-find items, it's the most likely source in town. read more

Went with my wife to purchase a new refrigerator for our outdoor BBQ island. I had purchased my last one there. I was buying a different brand that was about 3 times the price of my current one. We walked in, a few other customers were there, so we looked around on our own. I saw the different ones they had and I measured them to assure that they would fit. After deciding that I wanted to purchase one.......no one was around. We lingered a little bit and finally decide to leave. I went home and looked up the unit I wanted and ordered it online and saved over $120. I usually shop at our local businesses but sometimes they push you away. hopefuly they will care more about other customers than they did about me. read more

Wish I could give a zero. Spent hours on line trying to figure out which rotisserie worked with our grill and ended up buying 2 different ones to get one that would worked. Tried to return unneeded one to store and they wouldn't take it back. After paying shipping to get it to me, I have to pay return shipping as well. Store employees were completely indifferent to the issue. Couldn't have cared less. Some of the poorest customer service I've ever seen. No wonder they have such low ratings! read more

I ordered and paid, IN FULL, over 15,000 dollars worth of a upscale grill, matching power burner, outdoor refrigerator, and some access doors back in the first week in June. It is all stainless steel. No special paint. Nothing special order. I was told worst case scenario 10-12 weeks for delivery. It has been 17 WEEKS! I have called three times in the past 4 months to find out what's going on. . Once got a hold of the salesman who said he would look into it but should be soon. Second time he said he would look into it. Third time answering machine. I know it's COVID time, but come on. No calls to me. No attempts to explain or give new ETA. No attempts to see what they can do to make things right. Nothing. Very disappointing. read more

This place should be ashamed of themselves. They sold us an expensive BBQ set (their own brand) which completely and utterly broke down within 3 months. I mean, everything that could go wrong with the BBQ went wrong. When I called them regarding the warranty they made up every excuse in the book not to cover the parts and labor. They charged $99 to come out and make excuses for their crap BBQ set they sold us. They changed the reason for denying the warranty multiple times after they were called out and put on the spot. They are rude, unprofessional and their bbqs are garbage. They treated us like complete trash once we purchased their equipment and they were done with their sales pitch. Presley the manager is just a complete moron in my opinion. Seriously guys, he sucks! They are a fraud and should be shut down. Be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Called ahead before going to ask what time they closed today (Sunday). The response I got was 7:00. Drove over and got there at 6:02 and they had closed at 6:00. He said he left me a voicemail (which I did find later) to correct his error. I needed to pick up one thing and was paying with cash but they didn't care. I would hope a place with such a big name would have had better customer service, especially after a mixup they caused and considering they closed literally 2 minutes before we arrived. read more
