Noel quoted us grills that were cheaper than what they had in stock to sell, which felt a little like a bait and switch. So, we settled for a floor model because it would arrive ASAP (we had a going away party upcoming). Turns out they also didn't communicate it could take weeks to arrive because of their weird delivery company and lack of prioritization to converting the item to Natural Gas. After weeks missed delivery dates, someone called to let me know they would deliver today (Saturday). I'm now traveling but nobody let me know this would be an issue until they were on their way. Suffice to say, communication was not at its best and ultimately I've decided to order from somewhere with a little more ability to work with my needs as the customer. Guys came yesterday. The grill is finally where it should be. This has been an absolute nightmare and I'm glad it's hopefully over. Things that were wrong with the $10,000 BBQ when I got it. One of the screws on the inner panel was completely stripped out and jammed halfway in its assigned hole. I tapped it and fixed that myself. I don't think the customer should have to open up the rotisserie motor and lube it themselves either. The light switch has been a complete pain in the ass until now. In the future just know that 7 months to get a $10,000 grill where it should have been at the time of delivery is absolutely unacceptable. They're located in a shopping center, and parking wasn't a problem. Their showroom is big enough, with a good variety/selection of backyard accessories in store. We went there looking for patio heaters, and they had portable, propane ones on display, as well as wall mounted electric and gas ones. Buyer Beware! I ordered three Wildfire cabinet doors two years ago from BBQ Galore. Two of them arrived in new condition with plastic protection on the black doors. One arrived without the plastic wrap on the doors, which were dirty and had a blemish in the finish. This was obviously an open box/used/returned item. I called BBQ Galore to see if they could do anything about it. They said it was way outside their policy period so they couldn't do anything. They said that since it had been so long, how did they know I didn't remove the plastic protection sheets. My fault for not opening all the boxes to check the product when I received them. Shame on BBQ Galore for shipping an open box/used item for which I paid $600 (for the one door). Lesson learned - open all your packages when received to check for damage or used products since BBQ Galore doesn't always ship new product when the customer orders new product. read more

They have everything you need but you can't use anything that is their brand. The cabinets are built for outdoor use but the components they use are not. All the screws are rusting and that rust drips onto the drawer face staining them. It's only a mater of time before the drawers start to fail. Until then i have to wipe rust off the 7 cabinets i have installed. You can't change out cabinets built into stone or concrete without a major renovation so don't make the mistake i made. Came back the next day and placed the order. Great communication throughout the delivery process, even managed to get it installed in time for a housewarming party. So again, do your own research! I am very disappointed with the employees of this store. October 2020 we ordered a grill, nobody kept me informed during the 3 months wait time on how the delivery was going. After 3 months we finally pick it up. Just recently in September 2021 the igniter does not work, I called spoke with Preston he took al my information, and said fire magic would be contacting. Two weeks went by nobody contacted me, I call the store again and another employee tells me that I have to contact fire magic directly. I was very upset. We recently purchased a barbecue from BBQ Galore, and the model was on backorder. We were told they would call with an update on delivery. After never hearing from them, we called and were told it was in and we could schedule a delivery. (no phone call from them). We were told the installation and delivery was $165. including a cover for the unit. Seeing as we already had a cover and didn't need theirs, they took $50. off the installation charge, bringing it to around $115.00. Delivery was scheduled between 12:00-4:00. At 11:00 that day they called to say they were here, and where were we? Upon delivery, they realized they could not install the unit and theyoo said we needed to call a plumber in to do it. We did that, and paid the plumber $100. for the installation. We called the store to ask for price adjustment on the installation, and were told theyd check and get back to us. We didn't hear anything so we called again, and were told they'd check and get back to us. 4 calls to them later, we were told it wasn't their fault it couldn't be installed so they wouldn't give a credit adjustment. They said we already received a $50.00 discount on it. We reminded them it was for the cover we weren't getting but they wouldn't refund anything. Customer service at the Clairemont Mesa BBQ Galore is awful. They don't return a phone call. They don't follow through with what they say they are going to do and they simply do not care. They could have said, we're sorry, we can't refund the money, but we'll make it up to you by giving you some bbq tools, or a grill basket, or some seasonings, or SOMETHING, instead of just saying.... nope, it wasn't our fault. There are many places you can buy a Weber BBQ. My suggestion would be to go anyplace else, probably pay less money and have better customer service than we received from BBQ Galore on Clairemont Mesa Bl. in San Diego. read more

Customer service is pretty average too unless your a super baller then they give you super extra great customer service. On Saturday I came here with my friend to assist him in purchasing a Weber Genesis II grill. I had done quite a bit of internet research earlier in the morning and knew that Weber seems to have very tight control over their grill prices so no matter where you buy the grill the price will be the same. But I did expect that a full service store like this could at least throw in something, delivery, training, tongs, anything, just make us feel like you want the business. Store website says they price-match. That is absolutely not true. I acknowledged the price is same everywhere except that both Lowes and Home Depot give a 10% discount to US military veterans and my friend is a veteran. I even showed the picture of this policy on the Lowes website. Answer was a lot of dancing around, well we price match but you have to go there and bring us back a written quote. Sales guy did nothing at all to sell us. He pretty much could not have done less to persuade us to want to buy from them. Went to lunch in the same plaza and I called another grill store who quickly told us they would honor the 10% veterans discount. And, instead of the $168 assembly & delivery charge their charge was only $50. Barbeques Galore does not want the business so they will not get any more of my business in the future. read more

Really? I gave BBQG 3489.00 dollars for a grill. It came with a 10 year warranty on the chassis, of which I needed repairs. I then paid them 90 dollars for a house call. A day later the BBQG rep called me back and stated that they do not honor past warranties due to their resent bankruptcy. What a great deal for the consumer..... Oh but they did offer to sell me a replacement. Should I give them another chance; maybe they will honor the warranty this time. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice..... What am I stupid? After the closure of the La Mesa store, this location has become my go-to place for barbecue supplies. Good customer service, and a huge selection of supplies for all things barbecue, grilling, and smoking. They have a whole section of their store dedicated to spices and rubs, and another whole section for smoking charcoal and wood chunks. Their prices are a little higher for the basic supplies than what you'd pay at a general purpose hardware or grocery store, but for the specialty and hard-to-find items, it's the most likely source in town. read more

I have called three times in the past 4 months to find out what's going on. . Once got a hold of the salesman who said he would look into it but should be soon. This place should be ashamed of themselves. They sold us an expensive BBQ set (their own brand) which completely and utterly broke down within 3 months. I mean, everything that could go wrong with the BBQ went wrong. When I called them regarding the warranty they made up every excuse in the book not to cover the parts and labor. They charged $99 to come out and make excuses for their crap BBQ set they sold us. They changed the reason for denying the warranty multiple times after they were called out and put on the spot. They are rude, unprofessional and their bbqs are garbage. They treated us like complete trash once we purchased their equipment and they were done with their sales pitch.
