I'm glad that a friend of mine referred me to her because I've incorporated acupuncture into my self-care and overall wellness. Dr. Rhee is so easy to work with and listens intently to anything that may be bothering me at the time. I've only tried acupuncture one time years ago, so that didn't really make too much of an impact but I'm so happy to give it another shot with her. I had full trust, the minute I came in for my initial visit. It's one of the most relaxing and helpful ways to healing the body, both physically and mentally. She's gentle, lets you know when she's about to start each move during the session and I appreciate that she always keeps it nice, warm and comfortable. She has introduced me to a particular CBD ointment, which helps me tremendously for achy muscles and chronic pain. I definitely recommend her to anyone and have already mentioned her to a few of my friends to see. The first time I saw her, it was at the recommendation of a friend who was taking classes in the Hendrickson method. At the time, I was suffering from chronic back pain. I was quite surprised, because during that first visit, she did targeted massage work and used an activator tool. She suggested that I see her a couple more times and I did. She did some manual manipulations during the later sessions which I found surprisingly gentle and not scary at all. After three visits, my back pain was completely gone. Since then, I have learned how to move properly. But I'm an active person and can put my body through a lot of strain sometimes. So part of my management includes scheduling an appointment for a "tune up" on occasion. I've seen her for all kinds of aches and pains over the years - hip, foot, ankle, toe, elbow, as well as my back. She can work on it all. In fact, I just saw her Tuesday night because I'm training for a weightlifting certification event and tweaked my back during practice. I felt better as soon as I got off the table. Sleep deprivation was becoming a crisis, and I decided to go to the famous Hendrickson clinic in Kensington only to learn that Tom Hendrickson retired and closed his clinic. One of his top practitioners was Dr. Michelle who had gone into private practice on Solano Avenue. I immediately signed up, and amazingly I got 90% relief on the first visit that was lasting and get me to sleep at night. I've gone once per week on four more occasions, and now the problem is fully resolved. Dr. Michelle's work is very gentle and extraordinarily precise. I teach human anatomy at local colleges, and I was surprised by her knowledge and precision. She works for a considerable amount of time preparing the musculature and has been using the gentle activator tool to correct scoliosis on me along with muscle education to release cramped scalenes and levator scapula muscles. On the last three occasions she did gentle cervical manipulations that fully completed the release of my neck cramps. I plan to go back for regular tune ups. I happily offer her my highest recommendation. I found that gentleness, full half hour preparations, precision and excellent knowledge of the body are some of the treasures she has to offer. This time I only had about 10 minutes because the gym was about to close. I did have a mild attack this morning, but it seemed better than usual. Then came their change of heart, after my insurer cleared up the misunderstanding and paid them. Source for Wellness said I could return for a service, once again paying a copay. So I made an appointment for a service and came to a very clear understanding with them that my insurance was indeed covering the treatment. I did this BEFORE the appointment so that there would be no misunderstanding on the day of treatment. But since my appointment was in the evening there was nobody in their office to settle payment before the treatment. So imagine my surprise when a couple of days AFTER the treatment, I was informed by them that I now have to pay for all services up front and then request reimbursement by myself. If I had known they'd make me pay everything up front I would not have come. The reason I chose this place was specifically BECAUSE they said earlier that they accept insurance. I'm done.
