Came here for my birthday celebration. Due to Covid, we were not able to get the Chef's Table…read more The restaurant was smaller than I had envisioned it and the decor was simplistic. It took a while before we got the menu and for the staff to explain it to us. As a matter of fact, the first waiter did such a poor job that I wasn't sold on the tasting menu as I had no idea what I was getting and didn't sound interesting. He basically didn't say anything that I couldn't read off the menu. Then the 2nd waitress did a better job at describing the menu to our group. According to my friend, their menu now is much smaller than pre-Covid. I was the only one who ordered the Tasting menu (4 course meal) for $85 and everyone else ordered a la carte. It also took a long time for the Sommelier to come as we wanted some recommendations for a wine which will pair well with everyone's food. Wine list is of course extremely extensive as the restaurant is know for their wines. You have a vast selection of price range so everyone can find something within their budget. I tasted the wine and the sommelier served everyone except me...I had to remind him that I wasn't served...points off there! Food actually arrived before we got our first bottle of wine which I was a bit annoyed by. Food was actually quite tasty. I did enjoyed everything on the Tasting Menu. Tartare de cerf: thé picked onions added a nice touch to the dish. Cavatellis: Al dante with a light creamy sauce. Fantastic...wished I had more! Magret de canard: was served in 2 big pieces rather than thinly sliced but was tasty. Strawberry dessert: nothing special to that one. I few pieces of strawberries and some cream/meringue. One nice touch from the restaurant: since it was my birthday, they brought over a magnum empty bottle of wine and put some candles inside and gave me a box of 4 macarons. We also asked to visit their wine cellar which was spectacular...any wine lover would be happy to see that collection. Overall good food but service was a bit slow and I think quality of service was not on par...I am sure they are having difficulty hiring staff just like any other restaurant during Covid so I wouldn't take off too much point there. Would recommend and go back.

The place is beautiful, the food was tasty and the service was beyond anything I have ever experience. They have an extensive vine collection and it is presented to you on an IPad so you can see pictures and descriptions. They also have very beautiful and tasty cocktails and they are served to you with a little treat. My husband just came to Canada less than 6 months ago and only speaks English and they went above and beyond to make sure he understood every single thing. They presented our menu and dishes in both languages so he didn't feel excluded. The place is beautiful, cozy and romantic. This is a must try for sure fine dining at it's best.

We decided to come after a long drive since it was Halloween. When we walked in, the staff were dressed up, which was super cute. They even offered us candy I took a KitKat and my boyfriend grabbed a Coffee Crisp, lol. There was an older couple nearby having fish and chips, and it smelled amazing. We decided to go classic: a small poutine, hot dog, and hamburger with a drink. Our total came to around $35-$38, which might sound a bit high but honestly, I'm used to those prices and it was totally worth it. I loved how fresh their cheese was SQUEAKYYYY I'm pretty sure it comes straight from a local farm. The fries were perfectly crispy, the coleslaw was finely shredded, and the hot dog had that soft, fluffy bun that's just right. The hamburger had that smashed-style feel thin, juicy, with just mustard, onions, and cabbage instead of a pile of toppings. We'd 100% come back whenever we're in the area and definitely recommend checking it out. We ordered 3 little "pots mai that came with toasted seasoned bread and all 3 were delicious ($20.50, way cheaper than the city!) Our server was so nice and answered all of our questions about the area in general and was patient with us *trying* to speak French (though she also spoke perfect English). Turns out the building is 300+ years old! This place makes me want to move here. Definitely check it out! Great views, great food, great service, great prices.

If you are not hiking, come here and try food that looks and smells fantastic. So, if you are a fan of outstanding brews and want to get that hoppy breath, this is an excellent embassy for drafts. Brasseurs du Moulin offers some of the best stouts, Scotch ales and IPAs in Quebec. Unfortunately, they are not so known nor easy to find in depanneurs or beer stores (No reference to the Ontario shop). The names and drawings of each draft are as fantastic as their taste and texture. I came here during winter and enjoyed several pub games and the people here. The service was great. I had a great conversation with their staff. If I had to guess, the view of the mountain and the river in summer should improve this pub's ambience. Something to love is visiting a town in Quebec and finding a local brewery that makes more of a mark than historical sites. Je reviendrai bientôt pour boire une autre pinte.
