Came here for my birthday celebration. Due to Covid, we were not able to get the Chef's Table…read more The restaurant was smaller than I had envisioned it and the decor was simplistic. It took a while before we got the menu and for the staff to explain it to us. As a matter of fact, the first waiter did such a poor job that I wasn't sold on the tasting menu as I had no idea what I was getting and didn't sound interesting. He basically didn't say anything that I couldn't read off the menu. Then the 2nd waitress did a better job at describing the menu to our group. According to my friend, their menu now is much smaller than pre-Covid. I was the only one who ordered the Tasting menu (4 course meal) for $85 and everyone else ordered a la carte. It also took a long time for the Sommelier to come as we wanted some recommendations for a wine which will pair well with everyone's food. Wine list is of course extremely extensive as the restaurant is know for their wines. You have a vast selection of price range so everyone can find something within their budget. I tasted the wine and the sommelier served everyone except me...I had to remind him that I wasn't served...points off there! Food actually arrived before we got our first bottle of wine which I was a bit annoyed by. Food was actually quite tasty. I did enjoyed everything on the Tasting Menu. Tartare de cerf: thé picked onions added a nice touch to the dish. Cavatellis: Al dante with a light creamy sauce. Fantastic...wished I had more! Magret de canard: was served in 2 big pieces rather than thinly sliced but was tasty. Strawberry dessert: nothing special to that one. I few pieces of strawberries and some cream/meringue. One nice touch from the restaurant: since it was my birthday, they brought over a magnum empty bottle of wine and put some candles inside and gave me a box of 4 macarons. We also asked to visit their wine cellar which was spectacular...any wine lover would be happy to see that collection. Overall good food but service was a bit slow and I think quality of service was not on par...I am sure they are having difficulty hiring staff just like any other restaurant during Covid so I wouldn't take off too much point there. Would recommend and go back.

I use to love this place…read more But this is the second time I've gotten Terrible service.. i did an Uber order which was suppose to arrive at my house 7:35PM. It got delayed to 7:45,8pm and 8:04. At 7:39 I called the resto and the person who answered said my food was sitting there for 5 mins. How is it ready for 5 mins when it was suppose to be delivered at 7:35/7:45?!?! The uber driver changed 3 times because you guys were still preparing my food. As you guys called me to see if I still wanted the order or not. One hostess on the phone said There was a misunderstanding with the food and laughed a little. We're in a time where every restaurant needs customers. You should let the customer have a bad taste in their mouth. You should be doing something to compensate for the mistake. This is the second time. I would rather drive DT and get my food than order from you again. On top of everything my food was so filled to the top the sauce spilled in the bag and when I too lit out it spilled all over my table.

The chicken is amazing! Spicy and juicy and so crunchy! The chicken came with a little coleslaw, kimchi and pickled daikon. The kimchi fried rice was so good! I think its brisk business is more a product of its location, in an area with a number of office workers but very limited options for quick, reasonably priced food. The fare is your basic 3 S's: Sandwiches, Salads and Soups. They also have a few other things, which tend to vary by the day. They only have two soups a day, but the one I did have was good. They have a decent variety of salads, which tend to be on the good side as well. Their sandwiches, though, are their weak spot. Pretty much everything here is pre-made and thus not customizable and just not fresh tasting. If you get a panini they take it out of the display case and warm it on the press for awhile, resulting in a kind of dry, lukewarm sandwich. Also, very nearly every sandwich comes with mayo on it... yuck! I had breakfast here once, and I did customize...I requested no mayo and it took 15 minutes for a basic breakfast sandwich. Their prices are pretty reasonable for this area, and they have soup & salad combos, or you can get two salads with your sandwich, generally for under $10. The service here is mostly friendly and helpful. Which is good, since they don't really have a lunch menu board, and the salads aren't labelled, so you may very well need to ask questions. There's a good amount of seating inside, and they have an area outdoors when the weather is nice. Which reminds me, this place is hidden inside an office building.
