They have wifi if you need it by the bar or ask their friendly staff members. When ordered on your phone you tap and add the number of plates you want and it will quickly be delivered by the robot with your table number on it or a person. They seemed to have quite a number of oaky options, including fried item, bbq vegetables and pineapple, sushi rolls and nigiri and dessert items. There are some items you have to pay extra like lettuce or ice cream. My main gripe aside from the hot corner was that all the bbq meats were a thin cut (which is fine for a quick bbq) but that it was drowning in sauces. Marinated sauces, extra miso sauce on top that ends up burning on the paper, sweet salty sauce, spicy sauce. They had NO plain meat. You can order their special sauce on the side or make your own with the one on the table. LET THE MEAT BE MEAT! Not everything needs to be marinated!! Unless you're trying to hide/something. I don't know if it's just this restaurant or maybe Ina MTL thing... but it was just so saucey.. and not in the good way. I asked one of the staff members if it a possible to not have sauce on everything, and she had informed me that it's all pre done a head of time. Theo cabbage salad, the dumplings, the yam roll with mango sauce was just drowning. We were also informed that there was going to be a last call, 15 minutes after we had started ordering. So that kinda sucked, but we made it work. This might be unfair to say but save your money and go elsewhere. $44 per person not including drinks or lettuce is crazy. Laon is a special little gem that moved into the Milton-Parc neighbourhood, near a street corner that sometimes gets rough. It took over a restaurant that changed hands several times in the past, and still carries inside the remnents of its other cultural memories. The man that owns it, Jinsoo (Steven), seems a bit shy and does not speak English very much. But his care is immense. The neatness of that space, of each item placed for you to use, translates in gestures gratefulness, kindness and hope. The dishes are simple, homemade comfort classics of Korea. But done well, very well. They speak of the relief of getting home after a rough day at work, or of visiting parents after a long school semester away. They speak their own language, in the tenderness of the zucchini that is cooked just right, the small bowl of fluffy rice where each grain is distinct yet slightly clingy, the golden brown edges of the onions, bell peppers and beef in the cheolpan that are expertly even.
