Korean food in Montreal?
Tried eating in Montreal's Chinatown right after seeing the eclipse, with tens of thousands of people. Big mistake, as lines out the door at every decent restaurant.
Came here at a secluded Korean restaurant less than 1 year old, hidden on a side street away from the crowds in old Montreal. Ganadara is a chain restaurant with at least 4 locations in Montreal.
Looked like a fast food restaurant with plastic chairs and butcher block tables, over modern looking walls. Had to wait for a table, as only 8 tables. Several empty tables yet to be cleared of used dishes from customers who had left.
CAN20$ bulgogi udon came with thick soft udon noodles, thin slices of beef, mushrooms, cabbage, green onions. Could have done without the mayonnaise, as the udon dish had more than enough flavor.
CAN18$ chicken katsu curry came with fried chicken strips over white rice, covered with a delicious
brown curry sauce mixed in with sliced mushrooms. Could have done without the spicy sauce strips of chili oil over the top. Difficult to eat the long strips of chicken without a knife, and had to use my teeth to pull the chicken apart.
