I'm very very new to Korean food. I don't know how to tell if it's authentic and my palate is definitely not advanced enough to appreciate the food. So take that into consideration. I had a really late dinner with my friends here after work. The restaurant doesn't have a distinguishing store front and it's very simple inside. In the beginning there was only two other groups with us but they got really busy as the night went on. Service is pretty fast, they don't bother you and refill your water without interrupting your conversation. I ordered the corn appetizer and the ramen. Both meals were good, not something I absolutely loved but it was still very good and I'd go again.

Another restaurant located a few minutes walk from Concordia university, it offers a huge amount of homemade korean foods. That been said, only a few is worth trying. I tried the boneless fried chicken. It came with both regular seasoning and spicy. I'm happy to say it was delicious enough to make me feel like a hungry little kid yelling and crying to my mom wanting to get KFC. However, the presentation and the taste felt like an unsuccessful version of Mon Ami's fried chicken. I also ordered a beef bibimbap. Unfortunatly, it tasted like the meat from a bigmac. My friend ordered the fried dumpling which I wasn't suprised that it was super overfried. With the large screen on the wall playing non-stop kpop music, it make the restaurant felt like a pirated version of the famous oscar winning Ganadara. In terms of service, it was quick and efficient even though the table next to me was never cleaned from beginning to the end. Overall, if you want to came here, there are better options few minutes away.

Nice place to chill and drink with friends. They had promotion of the soju (from $19 to $15) and the makgeolli (from $19.99 to $9.99) when I went there. They gave us rice bowl (see picture) for the makgeolli and it gave us a korean feels haha! My friends and I ordered the cheese tteokbokki to share but it was too overcooked so it felt like we were only eating cheese. I ordered the jjajangmyeon and the portion was too much for me to finish. My friends ordered the seafood pancake and the bibimbap. If you order the seafood pancake you get sick of it after two pieces to be honest. Other than that it was very good!

I just wanna say one thing. If a Korean restaurant can't even cook their fried chicken, they should shut it down. This place literally give u raw friend chicken that taste like blood. I swear this is the last time I will ever eat here.

I'm a huge fan of Korean food, and have try a lot of Korean restaurants in Montreal. I have to said this place is legit. + First of all, it was highly recommended by my Korean friend. She claim that the food is tasted like real Korean food. Plus, there are a lot of Korean families (older generation) come in, during the night. So the food much be legit. + Second, their stew is off the chart. It is flavourful ( Kim chi Stew, Bulgogi, or even Ramen, etc). It have a strong powerful sense of Kim Chi but some how not too overwhelming. However, If you aren't used to strong taste of Kim Chi. Avoid the Kim Chi stew and try something else. + Another pros for this restaurant is the late hours. You can stay till 1 am. It also serve alcohol ( Soju and Korean Rice Wine). Try their " Fish egg bibimbap" ( I don't remember much the name), it have a special taste for it, fish eggs and strong taste of dried squid. It kinda pricy ( 12$ for a small bowl), but full with fish eggs. The eggs will pop in your mouth when you chew. - HOWEVER, their fried chicken and tteokbokki (rice cake) aren't good. The sauce is lake of flavour and kinda watery. The rice cake is too soft cuz over cook. Fried chicken is also normal, nothing special. You can compare it with KFC. There are many Korean restaurants in Montreal now, and this place is a unique for their Stew, Hot Pot and Ramen. If you love other stuffs ( aka Fried chicken, tteokbokki, Bibimbap), should go for other spot. Beware of Friday night, the restaurant could be packed.

Very disappoint Korean restaurant. To start off, their service was bad, not a single smile throughout our meal. When she came by our table to give us utensils and dishes, she just left after placing a pile of bowls and plates on the table and didn't help us give each person their respective bowl/plate/utensils. This was very surprising. Their pork bone soup was flavourless and hard to chew. It was not cooked properly. Their rice cake with cheese was super soggy. This place is so bad that I will never return to this place.

It's very simple and clean Korean restaurant that I have been there four times. I was satisfied by eating the spicy cheese chicken that is tender、juicy and flavourful. This is the best appetizer I tried. After I tasted this food, I find how delicious the Korean food is!I got the same thing form other Korean restaurant, but there are totally different. I also tried the pork hotpot that is yummy! The bibimbap is great as well, but it's quite small. The seafood stew is average. Hovever, I was disspointed by the fried chicken that is tough、tasteless and gross!I don't really recommend the seafood pancake, cos there are few seafood inside. Although it's fairly small place, there are lots of food to choose!I will go there to try others, cos I think it's a potential place to try different style Korean food!

A good place to eat korean food near Concordia University. We had deep fried chicken with sweet sauce on top. The chicken was juicy and tender. It doesn't come with rice. We also had the rice cakes. Soft and spicy. I just love rice cakes. They have 2 big screen TVs. Mostly Korean mvs. I've been there few times already and will come back again.

SEAFOOD PANCAKE IS AMAZING. Not too many people here on a Monday night. Service is quick and friendly! Tak galbi is also delicious! Very spicy though. I think I just ordered the wrong food last time.

The food is really good with great portions. The kimchi is good, the bibimbap too and the japchae too.

Ambiance is so-so, but food was good and reasonably priced. Among the good Korean food in Montreal.

They do not have all-you-can-eat bbq as stated on their online menu. They should remove this kind of false advertising.

Service was one of the better things about this restaurant. Our server was attentive quick and the food came out fairly fast after ordering. Restaurant has a lot of small tables and is better for smaller groups and you can squeeze multiple people into the smaller tables as long as you let your server know that you're fine with squeezing in. May be getting carry out instead? We were able to get seated at a two top picnic table before 7pm, only about a 5-10 minute wait. Ordered two sides of kimchi, Kim gui, tteokbokki, regular spicy chickie, Buldak chicken. C$74.23 The kimchi side comes with a side of shredded radish, which is quite sweet. Was hoping it would be the cubed radish kimchi instead. The shredded radish clumps together, it's ok. The kimchi is also so-so. The seaweed is good. The tteokbokki is a small portion, the gochujang sauce tastes smokey, it's pretty good. Comes with mushrooms. The spicy chickie is good, the breading is light and crispy. The chickie is nicely fried, not too dry. I should have read more carefully, the Buldak is smothered in cheese, had to removed it all off the top of the meat. The meat is oddly cut, it's nicely cooked and tender. It's a big portion of meat. There is no complimentary rice with the BBQ Buldak chicken, that's a first. No banchans here as complimentary here either, not very Korean of this place at all. :/

TL;DR/The Short Version: Casual Korean eatery. Great combos…read morewith lots of variety. Everything was tasty. The Long Version: My husband and I went here for lunch. I got the fried chicken combo ($16.99) and my husband got the beef combo ($16.99). We requested no sesame seeds for our food and they accommodated by not sprinkling sesame seeds on the rice, japchae or beef, but they forgot that one of the fried chicken sauces has sesame seeds in it, so I had to give my husband that piece. We were going to share anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The Fried Chicken Combo came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, each one a different flavour: original, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. The sweet and spicy sauce has sesame seeds in it. Since I can't eat sesame seeds but can tolerate slight contamination, I didn't bring it up and just gave that piece to my husband. Although in retrospect I should have alerted them for them to be more aware for someone else who might have a more severe issue. Both combos came with japchae, rice, 2 dumplings, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was great. I liked both the original and the soy garlic. Hubby liked the sweet and spicy. The beef was tender and flavourful. And I liked that it was lean meat and not gristly. The dumplings were deep-fried and had pork and vegetables in it. The rice was nicely steamed and slightly sticky which I liked. The japchae was flavourful and had shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers and onions in it. It was little too oily for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The combos also came with a can of soda or a bottle of water. My husband got a Coca Cola and I got a bottle of water, which I took to go to drink during my shopping adventures after lunch, since we were given tap water with our meal. Service was courteous and efficient. Lots of indoor seating with televisions playing K-pop music videos in the dining room. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs, so might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Review #18 (2025)
