    Beef japchae

Pretty decent tiny Korean spot for a quick lunch. I had the beef japchae. All in all it was good but nothing exceptional. For 10-12$ it's worth it.

It's in the tunnel from Place Ville Marie to the Eaton Centre.

I love this place, but I rarely get to eat there because they are closed on weekends and on weekdays they close at 5pm. Living in Ottawa now, if I'm going to be in Montreal, it's usually over the weekend, but I was in Montreal during the week recently and got to eat at Atti Express once again. I went with my mom for lunch, right before the office crowd lunch rush (thankfully). We shared a Beef Japchae $8. I like that they don't pre-mix sesame seeds into the japchae. They sprinkle it on top only if you want it. The portion size of the Japchae was generous. You get lots of noodles. You also get lots of beef, and a bit of spinach and carrots. The noodles were soft and full of flavour. The whole dish was a little bit oily towards the bottom, but overall, was really good. My mom said it was even better than Japchae she's had in Toronto! We ate a lot during our Montreal trip and our visit to Atti Express was towards the end of our trip, so we were good with just sharing 1 portion, but I would say that 1 order is probably not enough for 2 people in general, but more than enough for 1 person, unless you are very very hungry! So Atti Express is in the tunnel that connects Place Ville Marie to the Eaton Centre. There are 2 restaurants side by side, Atti BBQ (which serves Korean Grilled items) and Atti Express which serves Bibimbap, Japchae and wraps. Atti Express is definitely the most popular of the two. In fact, Atti Express had a huge lineup and Atti BBQ was practically empty during the lunchtime rush. Something else that I like about this place is that they have free serve yourself cold tea. I think it's either corn tea or barley tea (kind of embarrassing that I can't tell, I know, lol, but it's very diluted, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it). Staff were nice enough, both the cashier and the man preparing the food. Most people were there for takeout, but they do have a number of seats, both tables for 2, and a big bench for large groups or communal eating.

The BEST Korean food I've tried in a long time! The best Bibimbap and bulgogi. The service is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The food is delicious and generous portion, although I can eat two plates so maybe it's not so generous. Really good incentive to come back with their loyalty card, but 10 plates and get one free.

Very refreshing option for lunch compared to other fast food options. Very good Korean food, the portions are huge and the price is right!!! Had enough for lunch and dinner, the food is given in a convenient container easy to bring home. Hard to find it is hidden in the tunnel between Eaton centrer and and Place Ville-Marie. There is a lineup for lunch... Giving it 5 star for the fast food category and because it is the first review and they deserve it !!!!

This is the best choice for Korean food. Bibimbap is my favourite with all the alternatives (Chicken, beef or Shrimps). Also a fan of Bokkeumbap. Usually this place is very busy at lunch time but i was served on time. Professional service at great prices.

Service was one of the better things about this restaurant. Our server was attentive quick and the food came out fairly fast after ordering. Restaurant has a lot of small tables and is better for smaller groups and you can squeeze multiple people into the smaller tables as long as you let your server know that you're fine with squeezing in. It's got a fun vibe to it with nice decor and maybe a good place to go to hang out with your friends and grab some drinks.

May be getting carry out instead? We were able to get seated at a two top picnic table before 7pm, only about a 5-10 minute wait. Ordered two sides of kimchi, Kim gui, tteokbokki, regular spicy chickie, Buldak chicken. C$74.23 The kimchi side comes with a side of shredded radish, which is quite sweet. Was hoping it would be the cubed radish kimchi instead. The shredded radish clumps together, it's ok. The kimchi is also so-so. The seaweed is good. The tteokbokki is a small portion, the gochujang sauce tastes smokey, it's pretty good. Comes with mushrooms. The spicy chickie is good, the breading is light and crispy. The chickie is nicely fried, not too dry. I should have read more carefully, the Buldak is smothered in cheese, had to removed it all off the top of the meat. The meat is oddly cut, it's nicely cooked and tender. It's a big portion of meat. There is no complimentary rice with the BBQ Buldak chicken, that's a first. No banchans here as complimentary here either, not very Korean of this place at all. :/

TL;DR/The Short Version: Casual Korean eatery. Great combos…read morewith lots of variety. Everything was tasty. The Long Version: My husband and I went here for lunch. I got the fried chicken combo ($16.99) and my husband got the beef combo ($16.99). We requested no sesame seeds for our food and they accommodated by not sprinkling sesame seeds on the rice, japchae or beef, but they forgot that one of the fried chicken sauces has sesame seeds in it, so I had to give my husband that piece. We were going to share anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. The Fried Chicken Combo came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, each one a different flavour: original, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. The sweet and spicy sauce has sesame seeds in it. Since I can't eat sesame seeds but can tolerate slight contamination, I didn't bring it up and just gave that piece to my husband. Although in retrospect I should have alerted them for them to be more aware for someone else who might have a more severe issue. Both combos came with japchae, rice, 2 dumplings, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was great. I liked both the original and the soy garlic. Hubby liked the sweet and spicy. The beef was tender and flavourful. And I liked that it was lean meat and not gristly. The dumplings were deep-fried and had pork and vegetables in it. The rice was nicely steamed and slightly sticky which I liked. The japchae was flavourful and had shiitake mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers and onions in it. It was little too oily for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The combos also came with a can of soda or a bottle of water. My husband got a Coca Cola and I got a bottle of water, which I took to go to drink during my shopping adventures after lunch, since we were given tap water with our meal. Service was courteous and efficient. Lots of indoor seating with televisions playing K-pop music videos in the dining room. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs, so might be a problem for those with mobility issues. Review #18 (2025)
