We were seated right away. My husband ordered a coke and we ordered some tapas for the table. We ordered some PATATICAS BRAVICAS, CROQUETAS and JAMONCICO IBÉRICO. Everything was delicious and the food came out pretty quickly. The food looked fresh and the prices are very affordable. The restaurant isn't far from a train station and it's actually a quick walk. After walking around the touristy areas in Barcelona being able to go to another part of the city was a great idea. There were tourists there too but not as many. As far as the language, the waiter was able to understand us and I speak a little bit of Spanish too that was enough to order the food. I used the bathroom and it was clean. We were seated inside but they also had outdoor seating.

Waitress spoke a little English and explained a couple of things for us. They do have Spanish and English menus. We had olives, tomato bread, empanada and potato bravas and 2 beers all for 21euros. The potato bravas we're very good and they came with a spicy sauce and sour cream. Tomato bread was also very good served on a crispy bread with chunks of tomato similar to a pizza. Only downside was the dirty glass and beer bottle so I opted for the less dirty glass to drink from. Nice location around the corner from Catarina market in a square.

They have a great tapa selection and the service was very good and the prices were very reasonable. They also had free WiFi (just ask the wait staff for the password). I like the fact that the service staff doesn't rush you and we had a very enjoyable time sitting, eating and people watching. A plus is that they also accept credit card payments and no tipping required--even though we left a little tip since the food and service were great!

Amazing tapas, the scallops were super delish with garlic and lemon on them. I also liked my potato and meatball sort of dish that had spicy mayo on it. Service was quick and servers were kind. It's also out of the "main" district so less crowded and we were easily able to sit outside instead of inside.

They did take some time to put in the order but service was really quick and food was absolutely delicious! Totally recommend getting that half roasted chicken! Chicken paella was really lovely. It was in a shallow dish with not so much portion size because it was just a little bit of rice and some pieces of chicken in there. Quite a large amount of snap peas though so a good way to get some veggies in! Grilled vegetable side was quite nice. Good charr on the vegetables and they actually tasted nice as well. Got the crispy chicken strips as an appetizer to get some protein in. Chicken was really flavorful and the perfect amount of crispiness, and it didn't feel too unhealthy deep fried or anything. Came with a honey mustard sauce that was beautiful! We actually kept some of that sauce to have with the other food. Barbecue pork ribs were a nice one as well! I'm not usually a fan of pulled ribs because they are usually quite fatty but this one had a good amount of meat as well. Quite soft and tender and actually came off the bone very easily. Biggest highlight of the meal was that Half Roasted Chicken! Such a beautiful item! Chicken with cooked so soft and so perfect. It actually just fell off the bone! I tried to pierce it with a fork and give it to my brother and it literally fell off the bone! Quite a big portion size and very reasonably priced as well. Total value for money here! It did take some time to come out though because they actually roast the chicken after you put in the order. Not beforehand. Overall really recommend this place and I wouldn't mind going again.

We passed by several packed eateries filled with waiting patrons, but was able to get a table almost immediately here. We had the razor clams, grilled sardines, fried eggplant, grilled squid and a couple beers for lunch. Everything is so fresh that it needs a little salt and a kiss of heat to make it delicious. I loved the grilled sardines as I've never had them so well done anywhere else. Highly recommend.

The hours were a little confusing online, but we asked the store staff who told us they were open from 9-11 AM and 1-4 PM. Since we came earlier in the morning, the shop was not too busy. This was some of the best seafood I had ever had, I never even realized that seafood could be this tender and juicy. The waitress was very friendly and spoke a little English and explained the menu of the day. I would still recommend coming armed with some translator to help understand the menu. We ordered gambas (shrimp), mejillones (mussels), sardinas, and pelayas. Almost everything came with this lovely green sauce we could not get enough of and some lemon. Be prepared to eat around the bones in any fish you order. My favorite had to be the mussels. We shared 4 dishes among the 2 of us and left quite stuffed (3 would probably be filling enough). The dishes came out one by one as they were cooked and felt very fresh. Our bill came out to under 40 euros which felt like a steal given the amount and quality of the food. I cannot recommend coming here enough!

After visiting the magic fountain of Montjuïc's we set off in search of a nice simple restaurant before we headed back to the hotel and stumbled upon La Clara.
