Got a pedicure this afternoon- guy did his best but way below par. Last time I went in I felt like the work was substandard but my pedicurist was sick so I thought I'd give them another try - Never again. Polish was thick and clumpy so I asked the manager to repair his poor polish skills and this is how she did read more

I have been a good customer of Bar Nails come in monthly for pedicure have always been happy with results. The last pedicure I did. Gel as it was cold and I had regular shoes w me. Yesterday I did regular as it is now warm, I had sandals with me and I do pedicure more often in summer. They charged an extra 5.00 to take off gel they put on a regular customer. It took a whole 2 minutes. M read more

I went today to get a no chip manicure with art design. As soon as I sat down I thought about leaving. The girl that did my nails got up about every 15 minutes and took forever to come back. Granted I think she was dealing with a sinus cold. I still wasn't satisfied with the results of my nails. I had to ask her to cut some nails down to the same size as others and some nails weren't fully painted and she kept filling my cuticles back as she applied the paint. Afterwards I had to still clip some of my nail to even them out and remove the extra gel underneath my nail that she didn't feel like cleaning up read more

Not sure how this place is still open. There's always only ONE nail tech sitting in the corner and she is always rude. Walked in to soak off nails. Place is completely empty and she tells me long wait and basically no we can't service you. Not, oh have a seat and we'll get to you when we can. I've tried giving this establishment multiple chances cause this has been an ongoing occurrence of rude encounters, poor quality nails and long waits yet never a large crowd. Do better! read more

By far the best pedicure I have ever gotten! Overall super clean, I love walking in and seeing liners in the tubs and sterilized tools!! The lady that did mine was super thorough and made sure everything was done to perfection! I was there for an hour and it was a super nice place to just relax and unwind! Definitely will be returning!! read more

Service was great. Very relaxing environment. Been a few times for a full set and fill in. Great experiences

The first photo is what I asked for shape wise. I picked the color. I was not asked what length I wanted she just started cutting. They look absolutely HORRIBLE! I was cut seven different times and not once was I apologized to. In between every finger she would get up and go talk to her coworkers but didn't say a word to me. I would not recommend this place AT ALL. 0/5 read more

First time getting my toes/nails done in awhile. Well after spending $120 I'm a bit disappointed. First the gentleman tried to talk me out of the color I picked. He spent barely any time on my callouses which I KNOW were terrible since it's been over 6 months since I had a pedicure. (I still have callouses on my big toe as I type this). After he was done with my toes he complained that the polish was too thin and difficult to use and "made him tired". Before starting on my full set of nails he brings me the color bin and tells me to pick a different one for my nails. Now my nails/toes doesn't match. Asked me what shape I wanted, offered almond. Not sure why, because he can't do the shape to save his life. It costs too much money for my nails to look like this. Won't be back. read more

We stopped in this afternoon, and I understand it's a Saturday, so we waited about an hour before they took the first of our party of 4 back for her pedicure. She was finished before any of the other three of us were even started. The gentlemen that did my no chip full set was very nice and asked if we had any fun plans for the weekend. He was very personable, but I wish he had taken a few more minutes to do simple things like push back my cuticles, or do any sort of trimming. He didn't do a terrible job but I feel like for $60. It definitely should have been a little more thorough and tidy. read more

Nice colors and lasted a long time definitely recommend for manicures, haven't tried pedi service

I went in and asked for my tips to be removed. The technician kept asking if I wanted "No chip and color." I said no several times. All I wanted was tips removed and a manicure. She used the rotary file so long it went almost all the way through my nail!!! What I got was oiled nails, and the scratchiest damn nails I've ever had!!! Now, I will go to the store and have to get a buffer and polisher and some clear polish... LIKE I ASKED FOR. NUMEROUS TIMES!!!!! read more

Bar Nails - Some nails she used the rotary file on so long, it burnt me and went almost through my nail!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

My heels were burned as a result of the guy scraping too hard. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon. I've been getting my nails and feet done for 25 years. I've never experienced something so traumatic. I went for relaxation, next thing I know he has scraped my feet so hard that I bled nonstop while they tried to control the bleeding and put something on it that continued to burn. I will never visit here again. I was told sorry over and over and even the pedicure was free. But I never got to experience the whole pedicure because he scraped me so bad I couldn't put my feet back in the water or the wax. I called to complain and they kept blaming me saying I had a lot of skin. No i didn't , I was just there not even a month ago. I just had an inexperienced worker. As I type I'm reminded that every move I make my feet burns and I'm a mom that runs a business. I have a lot I can't do right now. I feel like more services could have been offered in good faith. This is gonna take time to heal. read more

My nail technician was very rude and rough. He ruined my nail beds and did a terrible job on shaping my nails and was in a noticeable rush.

This is the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. Not only was the nail tech RUDE but he did a poor job at a simple gel manicure. When i showed him the uneven finished he tried to say i had just taken off acrylics.. when I hadn't. They ruined my natural nail Ed by removing gel with a drill. I wanted a simple smiley face nail art on one nail and no one could do it. Pretty embarrassing. Just go anywhere else. read more

I love love this place. I have finally found the best Nail salon I have been to in years. Anna does such a great job! What else can I say? Great pedicure, great people and great ambiance! The man who provided the manicure and pedicure service was very short-tempered and seemed irritated the moment he greeted me. His attitude had me a bit uneasy during the entire experience. This photo shows the nails less than 24 hours post manicure. The technician completed two coats of polish... which in the color white, left an unfinished, streaky look. Disappointed. read more

Pros: * you don't need to stand and look around for a color you want. they have color samples that they will hand you so you can pick from your seat * free water if you ask * different kinds of pedicures you could pick from * variety of polishes and different ways to get your nails done * place is kept very clean and tools are all sanitary. pedicure bowls have a cover bag that are replaced every time for each customer. * although they aren't allowed to serve alcoholic beverages, you can bring your own and drink there while you get your service done. * can book appointments at any time * walk-ins in the beginning in the week will include almost no wait whatsoever read more

I always have my nails done. Literally always. I usually go to someone that can do fancy designs, however- when my schedule doesn't allow- or when I suddenly break a couple nails & need in ASAP (in this instance) I will just go to a random nail salon. I found this salon based on Yelp reviews- and it got the job done. Nothing fancy here- but the staff were all very friendly. The place was pretty large and clean. It seemed like they had many regulars, as a few customers there at the time knew all of the names of the staff members. That's always a good sign. I got no-chip polish- it was $25 for a polish change. Not the cheapest I've ever had- but not awful either. They had sooo many colors to choose from and they were very quick with my service! read more

Took my 12 year old daughter here to get her nails done. The tech was rude, slapping his hands on his thighs and getting upset that my daughter wanted the nails shorter. I absolutely LOVE Nick for manicure and pedicures! He is the best! Although I made an appointment yesterday she told me to come in , I came in and waited almost 40 minutesI. have been there the past two days . yesterday my girlfriend got her nails done by the owner and she was absolutely rude and unpleasant to sit with. Today I sent my 2 daughters to have a nice relaxing spa day... once again the owner did my older daughters nails and was absolutely rude her nails look like shit! I notice that less nail techs are there as well. I also think they changed their products because none of our nails last more than a week. It's a beautiful salon but is a shame that the owner is this way! It's also very pricey for the quality of work . If it wasn't for NICK I would NOT recommend this place hopefully they get a new owner to liven the place up and make it more friendly. read more

Will not recommend this place at all! It's not about giving the client what they want and what they are paying for. They like to cut corners and give you what is easier for them to do and fast, so they can start with the next client. I went for a pedicure and soak off my nails. Well he didn't soak off my nails he just took them forcefully without soaking them off now my nails beds hurt so much. I don't wanna pay to be torture just because they don't want to take the time to do it right. read more

I've been here twice. The first time I came, I got a no chip manicure and my bails were lifting after a few days. I decided to try Bar Nails with a friend. The nail tech that I got was extremely rude!!!!! 1. did not greet me when I said Hello to her and had a big scowl on her face. 2. She was not gentle, she continuously pulled and twisted my arm around while she did my nails, not to mention very impatient and would decide to talk in her nativ tongue in a harsh tone when I mentioned how I would like my nails.. 3. She referenced my small hands to Benjamin Button with her other coworkers. 4. Any chance she would get to look at her phone she would be reading something on it. I did not get the tech's name, but I know I will never come back to this establishment again!! They need to treat people with common courtesy. read more

This place was great! I went with 5 other ladies and we got mani pedis before a vacation. The staff was friendly and they even made sure they took the *perfect* group photo of us in the pedicure chairs. We did book our appointment in advance, which I would highly reccomend with a large number of people like we had. I got a no-chip mani and pedi which lasted my whole vacation (pretty good because it involved a lot of sand and an ocean). I got the honey princess pedicure and I managed to make my callused college athlete feet feel probably the softest they've felt in years. The tools they used were sterilized removed from the packaging as they were used on me. I also watched them sanitize the foot spas in between clients which is always comforting. read more

I went to get a pedicure after work yesterday but I called ahead to see if they accepted tap payment as I didn't have my purse on me. I was told on the phone they accept it. If they didn't I was going to go to another place I know for a fact they accept Tap. I go and get my pedicure done was satisfied with that but then he walks me to the drying station and says it'll be $40 I said ok went to hand him my phone with my payment app of choice open he says we don't accept that and I explained I called and was told they do. The lady who coordinates the place stopped from doing her client and says he need his money he leaves soon you need to go get cash I said how when I don't have a card on me and said I was who she had talked to on the phone and told me they do accept tap she walked away back to her station. A couple minutes went by and I ask can I cashapp any one it won't be through their business account obviously but they'll get the money she got an attitude said no and that I need to leave my phone there with them and go get money I said I'm not leaving anything of mine with you except MAYBE my shoes because you gave me the wrong information she then stopped talking to me. I go home get my card come back to pay she sees me doesn't say a word but speaks in their native tounge to tell him I'm back but just 30 minutes ago you told me he was leaving. As my card was processing she walked to the desk in front of me would not look at me or speak to me i never got an apology. Nothing. I still tipped him 10 because it was not his fault but I will not be returning because of her attitude problem. I can see if I didn't call but I did and you gave me incorrect information. Then took it out on me a paying customer. read more

I'll never go to this place again. I went in for a gel fill & my nail broke off less than a week later. When I arrived to have it repaired, a elderly gentleman with glasses attempted to fix it. He shaped my ONE nail with a pointy tip while the rest were classic square shaped. I explained to him that I need all of my nails to be shaped the same (obviously. Lol) he suggested that he cannot do nails that way, ripped off the nail & began talking about me to the other employees. Luckily, Henry repaired my nail the CORRECT WAY.
