Anna does exceptionally great pedicures and takes pride in her work. Thank you always!

I went to have a mani/pedi. My feet were not cleaned before polishing! My nails were even worse! He put the acrylic on thick and didn't file down my nails at the cuticle, it was horrible and so were my sister's feet! read more

I went here today hadn't been here in over a year. So, I go to get a manicure and pedicure with white no chip polish for both. Charged me $98 and I tipped him a few dollars because that's what I was always taught to do. I really don't understand how you can't get a simple request like this perfectly. Let's just say sloppy job! I've had better ! read more

I went on a Saturday morning. I didn't have to wait and was seated immediately for my pedicure. Amy did a fabulous job. Very relaxing and she took her time. I then got a full set done by John. He was kinda rude because I picked four colors for my nails. He didn't even shape them. I asked him to round out the edges twice and he didn't listen. I paid $65 for my full set and had to come home and reshape them myself. read more

I would maybe return for a pedicure, but I can't recommend the manicure. My full set felt completely rushed. The technician seemed annoyed when I checked the shape of my nails, even though she was clearly hurrying. There was no nail prep done on my natural nails; she simply glued on the tips and applied the acrylic. This resulted in a messy look, as the acrylic was laid over uncut cuticles. It was not worth the money. read more

La Vida Nails & Spa - Nail Salons Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

Worst $42 dollar pedicure. He was rushing.. didn't even remove dead skin.. he kept moving my chair forward when I told him I have a bad back and literally can't be pushed that far Did it two more additional times. He walked away afterwards and didn't even grab my shoes... tell me why everyone else be moved he did. I don't have time for ignorance. La vida showed they think they're the best in town and new flash.. you're not. Mediocre service with high prices doesn't make you better. SAVE YOUR MONEY- Go somewhere else. Then he let the woman who was doing my nails know I was the mean one, when I just held him at the same standard I was receiving and my nails were also piss poor. Such a shame. read more

La Vida Nails & Spa - Size difference. Does that look even or square? - Nail Salons Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

Nice place they can grow on the pedi thing.. I like my toe nails clipped corners so I don't get ingrown toe nails.. plus the polish colors can be better.. more work on the feet not calf's too read more

I've been coming here for a few years and have never had bad nor rude service. Tony and Son have both done my nails and pedicures. I've never had trouble getting an appointment and my nails always look great!! read more

Firstly, let me start by saying I've been here a handful of times and the first few times they absolutely won my repeat business. However, as of late their services have been completely unacceptable. The staff is incredibly rude. They rush through polish application and the end result shows it. Last week I got a lemon dream pedicure and no chip manicure. The woman who did the manicure didn't allow for complete cure. The polish application was streaky and cloudy and it chipped in a day. Now, a week later my no chip has almost completely flaked away from the nail. For 85.00 plus tip I expect my polish to last. Won't be back. read more

Let me just start with that the girl who is the receptionist has a major attitude problem. Rolled her eyes multiple times and me and other customers. No one was doing anything out of line to warrant that behavior. They were not busy. When you spent $60 or more on your nails you would think you would be treated with some respect or basic human decency. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had shellac nails done less than a week ago and the color has already faded and the nails have begun to crack off. Don't come here. There's plenty of nail places in this town. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. read more

Had nails dipped. After a week had to go back to have 4 nails fixed. Immediately after 2 more nails chipped. Called today because 4 more had chipped. Was told since i was just passed the 2 week period that I would have to pay to have them redone again. read more

I'm this area a short time and needed a fill... if I could give his place no stars I would.. the gentleman from the get go immediately had an attitude when I asked me to clean the station with actual cleaner and not just wipe the dust with the towel he was about to use... for the price and my fill and just to paint my nieces nails I could have gotten a full set and pedi back home... I'll go without before I go back to a place that gives an attitude over cleanliness and over priced!!! Don't go! read more

I had a 5:45 appointment and walked out of the salon at 6:20 with my fill in barely started. 3 people who did not have appointments and entered the salon after me were taken care of before me. I sat at a station for 15 minutes before being halfway addressed by a nail tech who spent maybe 5 minutes filing my top coat off of one hand before going back to working on a lady who came in after me with no appointment. When the issue was pointed out, the staff showed a blatant lack of fs given, and I was told that the lady taken before me just needed a "quick paint fix" even though she had been in the chair for over 30 minutes. Definitely will not be returning after this horrible service. read more

Worst experience ever! The man doing my manicure was very rude and rushed through it. He didn't give me much time to pick a color and then he didn't do the design right. So this is what o ended up with. Its peeling off. read more

La Vida Nails & Spa - Nail Salons Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

LaVida is awesome! Haily does my nails everytime =) I am a regular here, and I would never go anywhere else. It is clean, and everyone is really nice. I wish I could speak Mandarin so I could talk with them and understand what they are saying. Lol read more

Very clean. They use sealed, sterilized equipment on each person as well as covers that are disposable on all pedicure bowls so there is no cross contamination. I was a nail tech for 20 years and this is something very important to look for. read more

I've been going to La Vida for 7 yrs. I'd say I am a little high maintenance (lol). But Lynn just takes it all in stride, rolls with my pickiness & indecision, and consistently does a great job with my nails, pedis and waxing. That's why she's stuck with me for life! :-) All the ladies and men are friendly and I feel welcome and relaxed there. Also they keep everything clean, which is really important to me, and it's comfortable and pretty inside. I always look forward to my appointments and leave happy. These are good people who work hard to please their customers and deserve every bit of 5 stars! read more

While I typically like how they do my manicures and pedicures their efficiency with appointments is TERRIBLE. I had an appointment for a 9 a.m. I waited 40 minutes to be seated and now have been waiting for another 15 minutes for someone to do my pedicure. Meanwhile people with later appointment times have been waited on. Very frustrating!!!! read more

They always get me in quick and do an excellent job! Especially through COVID I've felt very safe and well taken care of. Not to mention they have frequent flyer rewards! read more

Went here for mani pedi for my son's wedding. Had a hard time understanding the girl, so she upgraded my pedicure. Just what her boss wants her to do. I explained what kind of nails I wanted, showed her pictures. I wanted an American manicure on both hands and feet. What I walked out with was a French manicure, $100 dollars later, leaving and not getting what I wanted. Very disappointed, won't be going back. read more

i have never had a bad experience here but i do think they could do better for the price range.

Warning! The pedi bowls are not cleaned after each use. I watched 5 people being put in stations after they were used and not cleaned. Health department needs to be notified. Also, there is no ventilation here, the smell is overpowering and cannot be healthy. read more

Made an appointment to get my nails done here, showed up at the time of my appointment. Was told by the receptionist to take a seat until they were ready. 45 minutes later, still not acknowledged or taken back. It's one thing if you're busy and you notify the person that there's a wait but nope not La Vida. They let you sit in the chair and wait. I was not the only person who left without service after an extended wait period. The receptionist was exceptionally rude when asked why there was a 45 minute wait despite having an appointment. She said "do you not know how customer service works?" Customer service is not deliberately ignoring your customer for 45 minutes, failing to tell them you're behind OVER 45 minutes, and then berating the customer. I understand staffing may be an issue and there can be a bit of a wait, however this should be communicated to the customer. So disappointed with this experience and definitely will not be back. read more

I've been going to La Vida for year with my mother and grandmother. Usually we have fairly decent experiences. My most recent visit was awful. I was seated and asked what I would like done to my nails. I told the tech that I wanted a fill in, regular white polish and for the tips to be squared. After he filed my old polish off, he ripped three of my old acrylics off and failed to reapply tips as I had asked. One of the three nails he ripped off is significantly shorter than all of my other nails now. He failed to follow my request and painted my nails with a gel polish. I asked before paying if he could square up my tips and he told me they were as square as they could get. The are a oval shape at best. I left the store in tears because I had wasted nearly forty dollars on nails I don't want to see the light of day. read more

I've been here twice and the first time wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything special. Today, I went there for a mani pedi and it is worst mani/pedi I have ever had. The polish used for my toes was too thick and she just globbed it on, so when she applied the top coat it all slid off. I could have done a nicer pedi myself. The mani isn't bad but she did not apply enough top coat so I can feel a piece of glitter when I touch the nail. Not at all pleased, since it cost me $65. I likely won't return. read more

Rude employees, definitely not the best customer service. Prices are expensive for what you get

Worst experience. Won't be back. Pedi bowl dirty when I sat down. Then got a mani with no chip. Was chipping and peeling within 2 days. Overpriced and terribly done. read more

I would just like to say that the customer service is poor. I called a little over 1-2 weeks ago and asked to make an appointment with Kathy. To begin with, the girl that answered the phone wasn't the usual girl that answers the phone. I asked when Kathy was available and the girl laughed at me on the phone and said i don't know. For one, i dont understand how that was funny because i asked a question? I then texted the girl that usually runs the front desk (She gave me her number if i ever needed anything when she wasn't there) and she nicely told me that she no longer works there but Kathy would be gone for about a month and recommended some other people for me to ask for in the meantime. It's sad that I had to text someone whose not even employed anymore just to receive good customer service. Will not return and will be letting my friends know of this poor establishment. read more

I went to get my gel fill in and pedi last week on Friday. I decided to try out a new nail shop since I wasn't satisfied with the last place I tried. La Vida is WAY worse than I thought! The ONLY thing they did correctly was filing and shaping my nails the way I wanted them. I paid $70 (tried to be nice and tip an extra $5) just for them to do a half ass job with polishing my nails and toes (my nails already look like I need another fill in), the guy that polished my nails put it on way too thick and the lemon scrub treatment I received during my pedi was horrible. Even my boyfriend said they did a bad job. Never again!! I don't understand how these nail shops out here in Bourbonnais/Bradley overcharge for doing nails and feet but the work is so mediocre. read more

Normally, I really love this salon. It seems to be the best place in the area. But the last two times I've gone, I have gotten no chip and they chipped and cracked in less than a week. They're staff is very friendly and it's very clean, but it's disappointing to know I spent $40 for my nails to chip in a few days. read more

We are in from outta town for our daughters wedding. Went with her to get nails done along with bridal party. She is only one to get into appointment. Other girls had to go elsewhere. Didnt greet me or my mother, (not professional at all). Split my daughters finger open with dremel tool they use (bloody). Rough handled her so putting simple french tips on, all her fingers really sore. Not impressed with mass, rushed, buffet style nail service. Like fast food speed for nails. Not apolegetic either read more

It's been three weeks July 28 I went and got my nails done because the next day we were going wedding dress shopping for my niece that is getting married next year and I wanted my nails to look nice because it was a big day for all of us I tried soaking the acrylic off with acetone they will not come off I call the salon and they said that I had to come in and get them filed off and then said i believe this is not acrylic that they are using because if they were using acrylic it would come off with acetone I'm very disgusted with this place and will never go back! read more

The pedicures at La Vida are the BEST in the Bradley/Bourbonnais area! I've been to the places in the mall too, and this one wins by far!

My first visit to this salon. Went on a Saturday, so it was super busy. We were told it would be an hour, so we put our names on the list, and left. After about 50 minutes we returned. But was told it was going to be another half hour. I would of given up, but my daughter's were so excited about getting their nails done. We left again, since it was standing room only in the tiny waiting area. Well, upon our return, we were told to pick out colors of polish, from the bottleservice on the wall. The smell of chemicals is super strong, my one daughters eyes began to water, and she had to ask for a paper mask. We were led to the back for pedicures, they have these big comfy lazy boy chairs, that massage you, Heaven! The chemical smell is not as intense here. Their foot soaker is like mini hot tub for feet, with colored lights, and water jets, but the water was lukewarm. It could of been a bit warmer. My attendant, was not very friendly, barely said a word, she would just tap my foot, or motion to me. Plus, she was wearing a paper mask. My daughters had a ltitle better attendants. I thought perhaps it was the language barrier, but when she asked me to pay, before the manicure, there seemed to be none! WATCH OUR HERE...You are shown a menu with choices and prices, I am sure a basic mani/pedi was $30, but when they wrote the tickets for me and the girls, the price had jumped to $40! I THINK I WAS OVERCHARGED! Since it's noisey, and busy, I just kinda went with it, but later at home when I began to think about it, that's when it hit me. Overall, they did a good job, I can say they take in more people than they can comfortably accommodate, they were squeezing us in like sardines, at the drying bar. Nobody tells you when it's time to leave, or checks your nails for drying, so you kinda show yourself out. It seems to be a very popular place, one woman told me it's the best she's found, and drives forty minutes to come there. My advice is to not go on Saturday afternoons, and watch what they are charging you. I do plan on returning, but I am the wiser, and will dispute it if I feel they are overcharging me from what the menu says. That is considered consumer fraud, or deceptive practices. read more

I'm a college student and usually get my nails done at home at higher quality salons, but I needed a couple acrylic nails replaced and a fill. The guy who replaced them didn't apply them correctly, so two of my nails are crooked and flipping up, and frankly it's painful. It's been one week since I got a no chip fill and one of my nails has broken off, another is in the process of breaking off, and the others are chipping. Like I said I'm just a college student and I'm not doing a ton of work with my hands so it's unacceptable that they are like this. I had made an appointment but apparently that doesn't matter there, and if a customer they like comes in, they will take them before you. The tools were also very dirty and smelled awful. Overall, it was a horrible experience. read more

The ONLY thing this nail salon has going for them is they're CLEAN! I never write reviews but I am currently in Awe. My husband and I are new to the bourbonnais area so I've been looking for a new nail salon. I've had my nails done here 3x. The first 2x were fine (nothing great, they definatly dont know how to do a basic pedicure, but were ok on painting my toes!) This last time i went they couldn't even do that right. I had a male (usually in my experience they tend to be better) NOT this guy! He didn't even paint them to the auick of my nail (they looked like they usually do after 2 weeks with no pedicure!) I asked him to kindly fix them but all he did was slap another coat of polish on. After all this I still wanted a manicure but seeing it was close to Halloween i wanted a little design whether it was airbrush or by hand on 1 nail (nothing to much). Well he ended up telling me that they do absolutely NO designs just paint and NO ONE in the salon knew how to do any kind of design. I knew this was NOT true because I've seen people get designs the last 2x I was there. Anyways I came to find out that all of the employees there are certified but CERTIFIED ONLINE! This people paint nails just like any of us could NOTHING SPECIAL and i will NOT be going back again EVER! read more
