The whole restaurant was empty till super later at night. I guess local people and busy know about these scammers.

I echo what people have already written: 1. Scammers: They make you buy things unnecessarily by acting sweet and naive. 2. Lack of customer service: Their staff is rude and don't know how to run a restaurant. 3. Tipping is a must: If you tip them less than what they expect, then they will create problems for you such as checking the signature on your ID with what you signed on the receipt. 4. Zero credibility manager: Manager is just a dolled up staff member who has zero experience in hospitality and just roaming around with no intention to make the customers time fun at their restaurant. DONT waste your mone

I found the best mango mojito in Puerto Vallrta in this bar and also the yummiest seafood empanada. Props for the food given that this is a busy bar. The quality of the food was not compromised on how busy this place can get. We got lucky that it was slow when we got it but quickly built up a crowd so be prepared. The decor is definitely a standout and will make a great backdrop on pictures.

Wow!! This Lounge was suggested by our waiter at Blue shrimp!! So glad we went! Walked inside this beautifully Vegas styled bar! With lights and chandeliers!! It was definitely a sight to see!!! But most importantly our server was the BOMB! I think his name was Ricardo!!! He went above and beyond for our group! Made sure our hookah was always lit! And the drinks were always re filled! Not to mention they were super clean! Offered hand sanitizer every once in a while! Wore their masks and we felt very safe! We can not wait to come back upon our return to Puerto Vallarta!!

The ambiance is soooooo good here. Fancy. Upscale. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and it was excellent. The menu had several other items that looked great. We ordered a mazcal cocktails to drink. Although it wasn't what we expected, the presentation was perfect. They put a lot of effort into making each drink. We will definitely be back.

I waited 40 mins for my pasta fettuccine, there was no one else there other than my group of 3. When my food did come the pasta was HARD and my bread was BURNT ‍ save your time guys go literally ANYWHERE else.

Wow. I had no idea what we were in for when we went there. We thought it was just a bar and we went there for a drink and it turned out it was a very high end "ultra" lounge. It was a beautiful place to see and be seen. There a lot of nice leather couches where couples or groups hang out and there are tables peppered throughout. This is not like the other clubs in the neighborhood that are more like a disco/nightclub with large dance floors. This is a lot more upscale. We went there around 11:00 and they led us to a table upstairs and we thought it was kind of crummy because the place was pretty empty but it turned out to be an ideal spot. Within and hour the place was packed and filled mostly with locals. They played great music and we could see the screens and the entire club with all of it's excitement. One drink I had was amazing and the the second wasn't nearly as good. The first was a chocolate martini that was incredible tasting and looking. My husband took advantage of their incredibly extensive list of mezcal. They serve it in an impressive fashion on a wood plank with the shot of mezcal, a variety of fruit and a glass for the rinds of the fruit. Service was okay but there is room for improvement. They had food but we had eaten already and did not try any of it. Seattle doesn't even have a place this nice!

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

The atmosphere is upbeat and energetic, with loud music that really sets a fun, social tone. They also have plenty of seating, including outdoor options, which is perfect for enjoying the warm Puerto Vallarta evenings. The biggest draw here is the drinks. Everything is very affordable, making it easy to try a few different options. The mango and tamarindo frozen margaritas were standouts--super refreshing, packed with flavor, and exactly what you want in a tropical setting. They were easily the highlight of the visit. Service was decent--nothing particularly memorable, but staff were friendly enough and service was fairly efficient considering how busy it can get. Overall, this isn't a fancy spot, but that's part of the charm. It's a great place to relax, enjoy good drinks without spending too much, and soak in a fun, casual vibe. Perfect for ending the night on a high note.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.
