You gotta look as if your day is freaking fantastic. Other than that, it was a pretty good restaurant.

Place was packed and it was a Tuesday evening. We were very warmly greeted and seated at a banquette... would have been slightly awkward if we didn't all know each other very well as we were very close to each other. I took the inside, knowing I was not going anywhere for the next 2 hours lol. Service after that was a little slow, we waited a long time to order and again to get the cheque. The menu is not huge, main plates ranging from $34 to $99. I had the hamburger because it came with a salad... a Brutus salad which is akin to a Ceasar (I was intrigued by and love the name). Burger itself was delicious and perfectly cooked. Others chose the pasta and it looked amazing and rich. Will return.

YES TO EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE…read more You walk in and are immediately immersed in a forest like ambiance. Hanging plants and funky music draw you into the main bar area as you're greeted by the server. Jess was energetic, attentive, & super knowledgeable. She made awesome recommendations and gave us some of the best service we have received in Montreal! We started with the Burrata & Prosciutto which came with some legitimately delicious fresh baked bread that was similar to naan. A lighter portion but enough for 5 of us to pick at. We followed with some pizza - the Mush Pit 2.0, Salsiccia di Vitello, & the Bianca Royale (which Jess recommended). Each pizza had 6 slices and the crust was on the thinner side. Each one would get 10 stars across the board, seriously. Two of us shared the Caribbean Queen which was a rum based cocktail that came with a little ~ razzle dazzle ~! Seriously one of the best meals & some of the best service we experienced during our week long trip. Food and drinks came quickly and there was plenty of seating. THANK U JESS!!

It's a decent location, though doesn't have a clear view of Notre-Dame Basilica. Some thought went into the design to fit it on what was the roof of a bank. Nothing about this place would make me recommend it other than being a rooftop bar. You're paying for the location I've been to many fine bars worldwide. The bartender didn't look at the top of his game as far as efficiency or mixology. It was striking to see how long a drink would sit until he could get around to finishing it. The mixes of their own purported signature cocktails were even -- no one here knows what a tiki drink should taste like. No food was impressive. This is flash and no substance. A shame, but I suppose they don't need to worry about putting in any effort because of the location.

I refused and ordered another special which they brought me the wrong drink again. The staff is completely unprofessional and unknowledgeable as I even asked the waitress what was in the drink and she stated it was unmixed I could tell it was mixed as being a previous bartender. She stated it wasn't & argued it with me. Sooo she brought me the wrong drink twice. Tried to overcharge me twice and never had an answer for any food, drinks etc. When I spoke to her about it she went to the bar speaking with the bartender and began rolling her eyes, came back to be extremely fake nice to me. Disappointing the place had big potential. Save your money go to La cage where the staff is actually friendly and professional.

More Montreal (2 of 2)…read more My friend who recently visited Montreal stayed near the Lucien L'Allier Metro station. I consider that to be a good base near the Financial District. Near here is Rue Crescent, which is a restaurant street mimicking St.-Denis and has those outdoor tables on platforms that jut out into the street. Being near McGill and Concordia Universities, the area has a huge contingent of cool kids and not that dispersed of a demographic. That's probably why I've never eaten on Rue Crescent ... until yet. I'm not a cool kid and never have been. I looked for casual grub on my phone and found Le Warehouse. I also glanced at the menu. It seemed like I stumbled on fish and chips at an opportune moment when they were priced on special. I think of this as the classic dish of the British Isles and, even though I have none of this heritage, it's a dish I very much like and order often. The quality always ranges from 3 to 5, so it's also reliable. The fish and chips platter was very good. Rather than being several pieces, it was a very large piece of cod. For the value received, I was not complaining. The place looks like so many other taverns in Montreal. I was happy to be eating inside. I was surprised to see people eating outside on the street platforms when it was humid and miserable that day. The service did the job, but it was a little nondescript. However, they were busy and I'm guessing they always are. I'm giving Le Warehouse 4 stars for the food and the value that outpaced the service and the ambiance. The food and the value are the main event, aren't they? Come here, walk up to those mezzanines that so many restaurants on Rue Crescent appear to be placed on, enjoy the trite woodsy tavern interior, and feast on a large platter of comfort food. I don't think I will ever become a fan of Rue Crescent, but I've now crossed it off the list by eating here at Le Warehouse.
