    chicken, prosciutto, mozzarella pressed sandwich

Quick, easy, delicious - would recommend. I came by for a take away snack in prep for my train trip to Edinburgh. At 8:40am on a Monday it was pretty quiet and I was served and out the door in record time. I bought a croissant and chicken, prosciutto, cheese sandwich for later. I obviously I had to take a bite of both and it took all of my will power not to eat the entire sandwich right then a there. It was warm, melty, and toasted - hopefully it holds up in a few hours. The croissant was delicious too, flaky, buttery goodness. Again, I hope it travels OK. I was able to get of these snacks for about £10 - not bad for London, Soho.

Full English breakfasts + a vegetarian breakfast

Being jetlagged and starving in the early hours of the morning, my husband, a friend of ours, and I entered Bar Bruno around 6a. We devoured huge breakfasts before adventuring around London that day. The staff was really sweet and personable, and both the food and coffee were delicious. You can tell there is a lot of history in this café, and enjoying an early morning breakfast here was a sweet experience we'll remember for a long time.

Prior to my London trip, I had been Yelping places to get a full English breakfast. Bar Bruno came up with great reviews, and only one pound sign, so my friends and I decided to trek on over on a Monday morning. The place is small, with a few tables. It looked more like a deli-type place than it did a restaurant. Plus, it seemed like the majority of the people were getting all of their orders to go. We sat and ordered, and our food came out pretty quickly, probably about 10 minutes later. I had the full English brekkie, which comes with sausage, bacon, blood sausage, two eggs, beans, mushrooms, a hash brown, toast and bubble & squeak (some type of mushed up vegetables with peas in it - NOT GOOD). The taste of the food itself wasn't bad. It's what you would typically expect of brunch food. However, everything was over oily. It's like they fried everything in butter, which was really excessive. I was probably only able to eat about a third of my plate before I started feeling queasy from all of the grease. Maybe this is how all English brekkies are? I don't know, since this was my first one. But I have had a full Irish breakfast before, which is pretty similar, and I don't remember that one being that greasy. I'm sure you can find a better English breakfast elsewhere. But if you must come here, I would definitely suggest sharing one plate with one or two other people.

Great casual neighborhood spot for a full English breakfast. I got the BB breakfast (£8) - it was tasty and i was completely stuffed halfway through it. The buttered toast that came with it was so delicious! Very unexpected, given that it just looked like regular toasted sliced white bread. The menu is small and straightforward (no-frills and affordable), with a focus on their most popular items, the BB and BBB breakfasts: full English breakfasts that come with eggs, canadian bacon, a hash brown patty, bubble, and beans. (The BBB option is bigger, with some extra items like black pudding and mushrooms.) Everything was simple, yet well-made, and the service was great! I hadn't had Canadian bacon before and really liked it. It tasted like if ham and American bacon had a lovechild, minus the fatty strips. It went very well with my over easy eggs and hash brown. Wasn't as much of a fan of the sausage and bubble (some sort of dumpling). But all in all, great place for some affordable comfort brunch food in London!

    Bangers and mash

Friendly, unpretentious place in soho. Friendly staff, seating on both levels. They accept cc. Had bangers and mash with onion gravy, large portions.

This is a reliable little sandwich shop in Soho. It's not exactly a greasy spoon as there are distinct Italian overtones but it does all the usual, sandwiches, pastas, potatoes and a breakfast which isn't half bad. There's a little seating area to one side as well so if you're not in the mood to eat in front of your computer or watch you boss stuff her face with her greater managerial responsibility you can take a nice break here. They do proper coffee as well so do the guys here a favour and come in instead of going to the Starbucks opposite.

Amazing greasy spoon! Huge breakfasts for small prices, good coffe and an overall neighbourhood feel to the whole thing. It's relatively small and seems crammed, but it's absolutely worth it. It does get super busy too, which just shows how awesome this place is.

After a very hectic morning of last minute christmas shopping this 'Italian' joint did the job. As others have mentioned they have more less Italian grub, like chips, egg and bacon (breakfast), chilli con carne jacket potatoes and ratatouille, omelettes with chips and many sandwich choices. I was in the mood for a spinach omelette, not the best ever but good enough for £3.50. Can't say much more except that the funny man that stood outside smoking a cigarette and being a bit of a nuisance made my day.

Total greasy spoon. We had a great breakfast here after an overnight flight. They serve you enough to last all day. What I had was the BB Breakfast. There is one breakfast that is bigger, which is hard to believe. Mine had an egg, beans, bubble, bacon and sausage. It was overwhelmingly big. British bacon is, essentially, Canadian bacon--in American terms. A bubble is mashed up potato with stuff in there. The British sausage is bland by American standards (as is most English food). But everything was good and getting this meal, even if you can't finish, is a tour of UK breakfast tradition. It is a small place, well traveled and busy. The service was great and it is in a good location to most Piccadilly, Leicster, and Covent Garden shopping/attractions.

First visit was very good at this place. second one is more likely; probably not going anymore... i didnt want to order any food because i didnt feel well in my stomach. my girlfriend took the brunos breakfast. the waitress said that its not allowed that i dont order any food and went talking to the boss. he just made a displeased look and the waitress didnt come back again. looked like its fine.... but after that she served is really slowly and unfriendly till we left. not going back to this place anymore. the food was pretty good still so thats why i gave 3 stars now.

This is a little deli that caters to your Italian craving without skimping on quite English choices like egg and chips. Tasty and fast.

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...

I always come to this establishment if I'm in the area and demand that my colleagues meet me there. I've never heard a complaint. The coffee is good and if you've still got space for lunch later, they also sell a range of delicious sandwiches. The owners are flying the flag for English (no fuss) breakfasts. The interesting thing is that neither of the owners are native Brits, but they've certainly created a welcome oasis in this part of London. Even the health conscious and vegetarians will be happy.
