We were so excited to find this type of bbq place but so disappointed when we got home and started eating. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches ... absolutely no taste and the totally liquidy sauce was a waste. Neither my sister nor I could eat the sandwiches. The sides weren't any better. The Mac and cheese was basically missing the cheese...bland elbows with a sprinkle of cheese on top but no taste. The baked beans had to be out of a can with sugar added - got a few beans and mostly reddish orange liquid. The potato salad was tasteless other than sugar. The collards tasted right out of the can with no seasoning. The lady was wonderfully sweet and nice but we payed for good food and didn't get it. We went home at warmed up hot dogs...oh well. So sorry for this review but it is an honest one. I don't give great reviews just to be nice. read more

The service with a loving smile is hard to beat. I love supporting small local businesses, especially those that have been around so long, doing their thing better so well. We had a whole chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, collards and baked beans. With the Pineapple Sensation and the Honey Glazed bbq sauces. All of it was very good. Sensation was a good name for that sauce. I'm not going to pick apart the flavors and so on about the meats. I've had a little better a few times, but this is very good. I wasn't as keen on the chicken right away, but liked it better the next day. Aside from that, our dinner group was well fed and happy. The sides were as good as you'd hope. Just needed to get there earlier for the Mac n cheese. Next time. So, there will be a next time. We look forward to it. We're going to get the Mac n cheese and also ribs for sure. And when you see the review complaining about where she got the wood off the ground to put in the smoker... what?! Consider the source of bad reviews... This place doesn't deserve them. read more

Man this review hurts me to write. I wanted this to be good, I really did. I was hyped about getting bbq and found this place on yelp. Went up and got rib tips, pulled pork, mac, collards, beans, and potato salad. I was also excited that she had a few sauces to choose from. 3 out of the 4 sauces I tried were sub par, very sweet and monotoned. The rib tips, for me, were so smokey, but no flavor, just overwhelming smokey. The pulled pork was good, little fatty, but good. The Mac and cheese was very bad unfortunately. Beans were pretty good, collards were good, and potato salad was good. Over all I can't recommend and won't be back. Also pretty expensive. read more

We got the ribs, chicken, and pulled pork dinners. Beef knuckle is only served on the weekends. Meats were cooked perfectly: juicy, perfect smokey flavor, falls off the bone. Portion sizes were huge, the chicken dinner was literally half a chicken. All food is to-go, but is a great value. Each dinner had two sides, we tried the beans, collard greens and mac and cheese. All of the meat and sides have really strong flavor from the smoker. Really liked the beans, they were slightly sweet. There are a variety of BBQ sauce options that come in a cup on the side, the spicy ones are really hot. Its a bit difficult to find, look for the smoker as you drive by! This was a 100% Yelp find. We rolled up to find the Queen's digs are not fancy or elaborate, but her food is fit for this King! We ordered two slabs of ribs smoked in her trailer grill, beans and collards... Where to start? The meat is smoked on Florida white oak which leave a smooth, smokey flavor, and the texture was perfect and moist. The baked beans are seasoned for the palate with a hint of cinnamon, and the collards... the collards... mmm mmm... food for the soul. Delicious BBQ! I have been here several times and am never disappointed. They used to only take cash so sometimes I couldn't stop due to no cash on me... Now they have a Square, so no more worries. Today we ordered the BBQ Rib meal with collard greens and baked beans as the sides. The Baked Beans are a bit too sweet for me.. Kind of like a pecan pie taste mixed with baked beans. By far the best roadside BBQ I've ever had in my life, everything is smoked and made by the Queen. My boyfriend got a two meat plate with ribs and pulled pork sandwich for 14.50 including 2 sides (he got Mac/cheese and collards) I got a pulled pork dinner for 10$ (2 sandwiches) with amazing potato salad and collards everything was seasoned perfectly and the sauces made it even better. The presentation was good/as in pictures but sadly there was no taste in anything. My husband said the ribs were ok but i felt they were tough. Decided after driving by on Highland as we smelled the smoke to U-Turn and try it. Glad we did. There's no way to describe how incredible this is! Beats the other places including the famous one in Dunedin hands down. Ribs are excellent. The Collard Greens are perfect and boldly flavored. The beans were a perfect complement.
