Fast food BBQ? Came here on a Friday night a few weeks ago and there were about less than half of the tables occupied. Service was fast and friendly. We got the pulled pork sandwich on the fried cornbread with mac n'cheese and the pulled chicken combo with fried cornbread, a side of potato salad, and a side of cinnamon apples for a total of $27. The pulled pork could've been a little warmer, but the fried cornbread was a novelty and the mac n'cheese passed the test. Everything was decorated for Halloween, which made the place cute. We tried the 4 different BBQ sauces (with my favorite being the sweet). 2023 #72

Super friendly services but that's where the love ends. Dry Times. Special call out to women who bounces around singing. She's so sweet and made my day. You know what I need the Beef. 2 Meat Sampler $19.95 Brisket- dry and chewy. Asked the kid for wet/moist cut but he did not know what I was asking for and I certainly got the opposite. There very little coloring in the brisket. This is disappointing. Sausage- overcooked and dried out. The skin was crispy and separated from the meat in places from drying out. Another miss. Cole Slaw- not a wet slaw, a little sweet, and good. Nice. Potato Salad- chunky, yellow, with a lot of egg. Good job here with this side too. Fried Corn Bread- a treat to order for sure, this pancake like cornbread is delicious. Could use a side of butter served with it but not needed. BBQ Sauces: Hot- light with a kick. Carolina- kick'n hot with a sweet mustard feel Sweet- thick and easy but what I would call a good base sauce and not sweet. Mild- that it is but a little sweet and a touch of pepper. Great taste that can go on anything. All are good. Going with a misc of mild for the great, thick flavor and the hot to kick it up for a good mix. The service depends on who you get. Two sides of a coin between the young man and women behind the counter. The food is ok at best. There were many regulars here who knew the staff so it's beloved by some. Sadly, not

Food was hot and quick. That's about the only positive. Got the 3 meat sampler. Sausage was chewy and only about 6 pieces, brisket was bland and really non-existent and ribs were tough. The cost was high for what you got IMO.

This was a really solid fast food BBQ experience. The food was tasty, the ordering was a bit hectic but all-in-all fast and we got our food pretty quick. We tried the banana pudding for dessert as we'd never had it before, and we're used to the same concoction made with lemon pudding. It was a little on the sweet side for our tastes, because we are used to lemon pudding and wafers, but it was very good, tasted very fresh and like real bananas.

    4 meet combo.

**Disclaimer - This review is purely on the food as I had it delivered to my hotel** Everyone says you have to try the BBQ in Tennessee, but after along day of flying, I chose takeout from Bar-B-Cutie. I was honestly impressed with the quality of the food despite it being delivery. I had try the 4 sample platter which includes pulled pork, pulled chicken, BBQ chicken and roasted turkey. How was it? Continue on to find out. The pulled pork was still moist and once I added some of the BBQ sauce to it, it disappeared quicker than it took me to open the box. You could taste the smoke and the BBQ sauce I could eat on a flip-flop (DDD reference haha). The pulled chicken was just as good. The turkey was flavorful, but would be better served on a sandwich with some stuffing and cranberry sauce. The BBQ chicken was very moist and the BBQ sauce on it had a slight char which only adds to the overall flavor. The baked beans was interesting because it had their signature BBQ sauce in it which added an additional flavor. Being from Maine and enjoying a nice backed bean dinner, I wasn't sure what to think about leaning away from the traditional style, but I did enjoy it. The potato salad was good and nothing unique about it. You will see a fried cornbread pancake in my pictures and I can't say I didn't love it or like it. Those cakes have to be eaten fresh and not after sitting in a box collecting all the steam from the food. So I won't comment on it and just say you need to try it fresh if you want the true experience. Overall, I was impressed and didn't leave a single piece of food left on the plate by the end. It's certainly filling so if you are not hungry, try the 2 or 3 meat sampler. You will not be disappointed. If I enjoyed the flavors after it sitting in a box for several minutes before being delivered, imagine the flavors if I had it fresh from their kitchen. Go check them out!

I visited this place for the first time in my life. It is definitely way over priced. The brisket sandwich only has 4 pieces of meat. What a rip off! The pork sandwich had more meat but dry. The macaroni was lukewarm. I had to get a different batch. First time and last I come to this let down.

I love BBQ turkey very much and I needed to eat lunch, so I was happy to see Bar-B-Cutie close to my hotel. It's a casual place with lots of regulars. You order at the register, grab your drink and they bring your food out quickly. I had my beloved turkey which was excellent - clearly from an actual bird and not the microwaved loaf horrorshow I was served at Smokey Bones. This was fresh, juicy and lightly smoked. It didn't need sauce all but I did enjoy their hot sauce which is vinegar-y rather than sweet (my preference). As sides, I had white beans which were solid and cooked with pork belly, and creamed corn which was excellent. Plates come with bread - I chose cornbread which is served like pancakes here. Okay? Prices are very reasonable and the food was great and served in large portions. Extra thumbs up to the woman working the dining room who was just about the nicest person ever.

On a scale of 1 to 10 on BBQ, I give it a 3. It's bland!!! I had to salt it to death to pull up some of the flavor. Dry! Dry! Dry! This place should smoke their BBQ...now that would do the food justice. Beans were meh...cream corn was decent. The best thing I liked was the BBQ bread! Very disappointed...I will never be back.

Great service and decent bbq. This is an order and then sit type of restaurant. The young woman who helped us with our order went above and beyond in making sure we had a great experience. She gave us honest recommendations and then got us any additional items once our food came out. She did it all with a smile in her voice and on her face. I wish I remembered her name.

Fat from one order of brisket on a 2-meat combo plate.

Smoked sausage was just OK. Turnip greens and mashed potatoes were great. Wondering if this amount of fat is normal for an order of brisket.

Food and service were top notch! Our pulled pork on cornbread were soooo good! The collard greens were mouthwatering. Sauces were stellar. Everything was delicious. Sacara was amazing and made our meal even more fun. The restaurant was clean and inviting. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will return.

For the longest time, Bringle's was my absolute favorite in town, but Edley's may have just managed to take the crown. I almost feel like I'm cheating on Mr. Bringle by saying that, but as he famously put it, "You don't have to hate somebody else's barbecue to like mine." My default order at any top-tier joint is either a brisket plate or a multi-meat combo platter with brisket as the anchor. Edley's plates come properly equipped with two sides and a slice of cornbread. Where they really set themselves apart, though, is the menu flexibility: -The Add-Ons: You can throw on a $5 upcharge to add an extra 3 oz of meat or a jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage. -Burnt Ends: Edley's offers burnt ends, which is a bit of a rarity in town and something you don't easily find over at Jack's or Bringle's. If they're available when you order, grab them. Price-wise, Edley's isn't cheap, but it's far from overly expensive. It sits at fair market value, costing roughly what you'd pay for a comparable meal at any of the other major players in Nashville. The meats are high quality, wonderfully smoked, and packed with deep flavor. Beyond the rare burnt ends, the sauces here are what truly elevate the meal. Across the board, Edley's house sauces--from their classic red to their white sauce--are probably my personal favorites in the city. Between Jack's, Bringle's Smokin' Oasis, and Edley's, you genuinely cannot go wrong--Nashville barbecue is in great hands. But right now? Edley's holds my top spot. It is my ultimate "treat yourself" meal in town.

I had the brisket tacos, which were flavorful, though a little dry. I am giving grace here because it was takeout and possibly was much more moist prior to transport. I also had the Nashville hot link, a smoked sausage with house made spicy pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños. It was indeed pleasantly spicy. We shared some fries, which were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. They also have ribs, wings, bbq nachos and fries, fried pickles, bbq chicken and turkey, various sandwiches and platters. They also offer Nashville's staple hot chicken in platter, sandwich, and taco form. Catfish is another option, in all the same varieties. Sides: cornbread, Mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans (in bone broth and bacon). Cold sides such as bean salad, potato salad, Cole slaw. I found myself over at Bellevue for dinner, 2 hours before my hockey game. I wanted quality food…read morebut not super carb heavy but also not something that could potentially wreck my stomach. After all, can you imagine having digestive problems while playing hockey? I love barbecue so I thought I'd try this place. I walked in and it wasn't at all busy at 5:32. However when I finished my order, the line was out the door. I asked the cashier what was good and the manager (maybe owner) walked over and I asked him. I wanted ribs or brisket, but needed a 2nd opinion. He said he would choose brisket because theirs is USDA Prime and he would put it against any other barbecue restaurant in Tennessee. Those are some bold words. So I ordered the brisket platter (fatty portion) with green beans and cinnamon baked apples. What I received was 3 good sized portions (1/2 pound) of fatty brisket. The meat was tender, melt in your mouth without an overbearing amount of fat clumped together. The bark was salty and very peppery. It was actually good enough to eat without a sauce. Speaking of, there was only one sauce on the table, so I used that. It was a sweet sauce, definitely honey-based but not overly sweet like other honey-based sauces I've had in the past. The thing is I love everything honey-related, so I would definitely buy this to take home. It was so good, I was scavenging for brisket fibers on my plate. So I praised the brisket but I think the shocker was the green beans. These were hands down, the best green beans I've ever had...ever. Salty, tender, peppery, with chunks of meat and fat, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Who would have thought that a side could be that good? Last but not least, the Cinnamon Baked Apples. I love baked/fried apples. Something about the tart and sweetness brings me back every time. The apples were soft, but not mushy. I would have liked them to be a little more tender and more slices of apples. I think there was more sauce than apples but nevertheless, they were great. Overall I'm glad I visited Honeyfire for the first time. I'm here often (near Bellevue) so I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

Parking was super easy, and the woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of tables and room to spread out, which is always appreciated when dining with little kids. My kids played outside while we waited for our food, but the food came out quickly. The kids' meals are some of the best values in town. One tip: the bun on the kids' cheeseburger is huge compared to the patty. I asked if they could add an extra patty, and they did for just $1. Our family of five ate for about $50. We usually buy Edley's gift cards at Costco, so our actual cost was closer to $40. It's refreshing to have a restaurant in Nashville that truly welcomes families while still serving great food. Highly recommend for anyone dining with kids.
