However this year I called to inquire about getting some paintwork done and the guy who answered the phone rudely interrupted me to tell me that they don't do rust work there. He was so quick to shoot down work that he interrupted me before I could tell him that the body work was being done somewhere else and they would only have to shoot paint. The window operator failed, the rear window wiper failed and one of the slider handles failed. Just to make me feel like I did my due diligence, I took the vehicle to another body shop to get a secon d quote. I was shocked when the second quote came back at nearly double the price quoted by Dewey's. The repairs were completed perfectly in less than 8 hours without surprises provided by the final bill. In another event, my 2007 Subaru was hit in a parking lot. These repairs were far more complex than the van. The work took 5 days to complete (not surprisingly). The finished work was beautiful! My 11 year old Suby looks like new! This was one of those jobs that could easily have been more than anticipated due to hidden damage. When I picked up the car, the bill was exactly what the insurance company estimated. I would not have been surprised to have to pay some extra, but that isn't what happened. What I want from a body shop is quality work without any surprises. That is exactly what I got at Dewey's. Great workmanship, awesome staff great price!!
