Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. The worst most ruthless company . This company bought Sensible Security, an alarm company I had…read morefor over 20 years. When it was sold and changed over, I had them service my alarm. (South shore Alarms). They cleverly had me sign a five year contract. I had to have my alarm constantly fixed. When ever they would come the alarm would work for a week or two and then we would have false alarms, to the point where we were getting fined by Nassau county $250 for each false alarm. The cycle of repair and two weeks later false alarm went on for at least a year . We decided to terminate our contract in writing. The company was obviously not run the same as Sensible Security and we were very unsatisfied on top of fine after fine from Nassau county for false alarms. After cancellation they became totally ruthless slapping us with a law suite. They went after us for the cost of the alarm system which was 20 years old, the remaining four years of monitoring fees and lawyers fees from the group of lawyers they used, with a ton of mounting fees. This firm was no more than a collection agency trying to get money and settle for whatever money they could obtain for their client, South Shore Alarms. NEVER Do BUSINESS WITH THIS Alarm Company !!!! We moved to ADT and could not be happier.

That defect led to significant excess oil usage, including two large deliveries in a short period. Once the issue was fixed, consumption dropped immediately, so the cause was obvious. I requested a conservative $200 credit to partially offset the excess fuel cost. They offered $50 and then ignored multiple follow-ups over several weeks, ultimately repeating the same offer without addressing the issue. The installation mistake is one thing -- the lack of accountability and refusal to resolve it properly is the real problem. Would not recommend.

I have been with slomin's for years,…read moreduring this Januarys cold weather I was running of oil even though I have automatic delivery I had to give them a call they said I couldn't get a delivery in less than 5 days, I would have run out so I had to call someone else that's ridiculous. Second story I needed a burner replacement called a few people about some estimates.Slomin's was my choice because they took care of the permits and everything, they arrived with a full crew and dismantled my old burner and replaced with the new burner in a day. The crew was excellent in explaining there every move and when they left the place looked like they were never there, spotless. I would definitely recommend there installation crew but their oil service emergency delivery leaves a lot to be desired.
