Don't flag this We paid just under $20 for enough good Puerto Rican food for three adults. There's no atmosphere. The fixtures and walls and just everything is outdated and kind of ugly and tacky. However, the food was good. There wasn't much choice of food: There are two choices for rice - white and flavored. The flavored was good. It had peas and onions and pits of pork (at least) in it. There were two beef dishes and one pork. They were all very tasty. For the price, I recommend a visit to Bani. It's just up the street from City Hall.

When we got there we were a little confused because it was also a store. towards the back they have a little restaurant and a menu where you can choose how many pieces of chicken you want with fries or plantains. However, while we were waiting in line we talked to someone that frequents the establishment and they said to not order off of that menu and just go further down the line and order off what's on the table. So I took her advice and ordered some Spanish rice with chicken stew and one piece of fried Chicken. The food smelled amazing the entire drive home and when we got home we started to eat. There was a lot of rice which is great but not needed and the chicken was very good. I actually preferred the fried over the stew but that's just me. I'm sure if I had more of the stew sauce on the rice it would have made a bigger difference but I didn't have a lot on my plate. Over all the places good and I would love to go back again and try something new.

It's a market with a counter where the staff are continuously cooking. To my surprise they had fried pork. I had to have it. And it was delicious. Great place. Will make it one of my regular stops.

For the main course I got mofongo with creamy chicken. It was bland and the modongo was hard and dry. The cream sauce reminded me of Alfredo, but it was on the bland side. The chicken within it was dry and tasted like microwaved chicken breast covered in white sauce. Would try something else next time. My fiancé got the ribeye and that was cooked to his liking with good seasoning and very tender. The server was very nice, however very slow. Had to go up to her and flag her down multiple times throughout dinner and especially when we were trying to get the check. I had to keep reminding her because she would come then leave "to get it" but then went behind the bar and was talking to people. Then would come by and ask if we needed anything, and after the fourth time it was very annoying.
