Dear Amy,
this review is just for you! Nick, please stop…read morereading right here!
Soo I actually jumped on to the wrong bus after I was done with work, B43 instead B48, well wasn't too bad in the end, I drove into the same direction and actually passed by my old neighborhood ( Montrose and Graham Ave) btw. Winson is a great taiwanese restaurant right of that corner!
Anyway I'm here to write a review about Brooklyn Harvest. Nick?!? are you still there? Not? Good!
So I walked along Montrose Ave towards Union Ave and there was it BROOKLYN HARVEST MARKET, Amy I assume this is your local grocery store? If not, just stop reading here.
Soo first of all, I'm used to Trader Joes, so I don't want to talk about the price, value, marketing, fancy hawaii shirts etc. here, that wouldn't be fair.
I have to say that I'm very pleased and positive surprize about my grocery shopping experience. The wide selection of seafood, the freshes greens, the friendly stuff who took care of me and assisted me with their knowledge about veggies and fruits, the homeless guy outside, the other customers, the lightning or the dozen of plastic bags I've received for free, one great thing followed the other and before I forget and I actually almost couldn't find it, the selection of CHEESE, just out of this world! For me as native swiss this was obviously the highlight of the week!
Afterwards I actually felt a little bit bad, in the hurry of grabbing all my hundred plastic bags I forgot to tip the cashier and her fellow dipl. plasticbag packers.
She, the young cashier, would definitely deserve a tip, for the reason that she can keep maintaining her long fake fingernails, each of them had a different color and was perfectly shaped and definitely inconvenient to operate anything with it.
But on the other hand, it showed me that people from the LGBTQiRS are also welcome here :)
So that's it for tonight until next time! Hope we can all hang out soon and get drinks!
My best, Moritz
@Nick plans this weekend?
