I went in to get a haircut and color. I asked the owner to cut my hair to shoulder length and to…read morecolor my roots. I've been coloring my hair for years, and every time, the stylist has colored my hair first, then washed and cut it. This woman, however, washed my hair first, applied something that looked like gel, and then blow-dried it. I thought that was odd, but I didn't say anything. Then she applied the color. While the color was processing, she told me she was going next door to her house. I was alone in the salon for at least 30-40 minutes. During that time, I started to feel a burning sensation all over my scalp. When she finally returned and washed out the color, not only had she butchered the haircut, but I also had blisters all over my scalp. This happened over two weeks ago, and I'm still in pain. Do not go to this lady! I don't want to report her to the cosmetology board, but honestly, she should not be allowed to work on anyone. I had to give her a star but she doesn't deserve one.

I had the opportunity to make an appointment for yesterday. They were able to squeeze me in (by…read moresoundboard some appointment switcharoos), at a time that worked for me,only a few days ahead of the holiday weekend. Awesome! I used to come here all. the. time. When I got there, Cathy gave me a hug and was so nice! She took me back straightaway and listened to exactly what I wanted, color and cut wise, looked at the pictures I brought, and gave some advice about how it was going to work for me. I came in with hair that I ruined myself--dyed over bleached roots...so basically orangey-red from mid-shaft to tips, getting darker toward the tips, and light blonde roots. It was AWFUL. I couldn't bare it for another day. I never worry that Cathy isn't going to make me look exactly how I want--she ALWAYS gets me there! She was able to blend my roots with the strange color on my mindshaft/tips to look lovely and bleach some pieces around my face to almost all completely white blonde from reddish/orange. She's a miracle worker. Also, she always takes her time and never makes me feel like I'm taking up all of her time. I have VERY thick hair and just naturally feel like a stylists nightmare... It takes a long time for my head to be colored, cut, and styled. She took her time (worked on me for nearly 4 hours), was kind, and I left looking exactly how I asked to look. Thank you! Oh, and the other staff is great too. Everyone is very nice. Quentin is super nice--goes out of his way to make sure you're comfortable (asks if he can get you a drink multiple times--he makes iced coffees). He's very personable and talks to anyone about anything. He occasionally helps out with shampooing and is AWESOME at it. He's super gentle, giving your head an awesome massage instead of the typical rough, head-scratching nightmare.
