Whelp, this is unfortunate. With the relatively recent announcement that Bang Bar will be closing for good this Sunday (10/4), now seems like as good of a time as there will ever be to get this done so it at least has the potential to be useful to anyone who might eat here over the next few days. Customers whom I'm a bit jealous of, to be honest, because I had actually planned on coming back the next time I'm in Vegas! Located within Cosmo's Block 16 food hall, part of the reason why it's such a bummer to hear that Bang Bar is closing is because it's such a great dining option to have around here. As much as I like how it's relatively quick, convenient, and somewhat on the lighter side, I also just appreciate how different it is from most of the other quick, casual eateries you'll find nearby, many of which consist of sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas. What's more, while it may not be super extensive, just about everything on the menu is so appealing. Once you decide between getting a wrap, rice bowl, or salad bowl, you then choose whatever protein you want in it and your sides/add-ons, if any. Since the guy (manager?) at the register mentioned that they might be coming off the menu, I opted to go with their since-removed FOLD UPS and chose their TERIYAKI CHICKEN for one and their CUMIN BEEF for the other. While they didn't look all that big in the to-go box, they were as flavorful as they were filling. Of the two though, the Cumin Beef was definitely the star, as it was juicy and just straight up delicious. As for the Teriyaki chicken, the meat itself was moist, but it was a little light on teriyaki sauce. Still, I thought the pickled onions, dressing, and pita bread, which was super soft, really tied everything together. As you would expect, Bang Bar is pricier than comparable alternatives off The Strip, but it's relatively on par with similar fast casual eateries up and down Las Vegas Blvd. However, because it's so different, I'm okay with paying the relative premium for this than a generic slice of pizza. Or at least I would have been, if not for them closing. Sad to see this place go, but curious to see what concept Momofuku comes up with to replace it! read more

They were so quick, friendly, and even with 15 minutes until they were closing still provided great customer service. I had eaten half the wrap by the time I realized I hadn't captured a photo but the wrap was delicious with lightly pickled onion and veggie. Spicy eggplant was fantastic. Think sweet, a little sour, and garlicky. They gave me the chili crisp for free and I lathered it on the wrap as well as mixed it into the eggplant. Definitely coming back again! read more

The cosmo has a little food court on the second floor that offers a small variety of pretty good quality food that isn't crazy expensive or fancy. Among the take out counters and bar style seating, you'll find bang bar. They offer a small menu of Asian fusion things. They're super fast and the food is surprisingly pretty good! We were disappointed that the line for secret pizza was so long. So we came down to bang bar right before they closed and I had a delicious cumin beef bowl with rice. The menu is small. I like that they only offer a few things because I can get indecisive. The wraps were tempting, but I love white rice and it was really calling my name at 11:30pm. I asked what protein option was the most popular and the guy surprisingly said teriyaki chicken. Hell no am I ordering teriyaki chicken on vacation in Vegas when I live in Hawaii. So u got the cumin beef. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The beef was soft and saucy. Perfect on top a bed of jasmine rice. I love that it was paired with crunchy cabbage and sour pickled onion. It was great. I actually kind of want to go back and try the eggplant and the spicy pork..... maybe next time I'm in Vegas. I ordered a yuzu lemonade to wash it down and even that was good. It was $10, but still good. I paid $27 for a meal that probably would have copay a bit more if it was a sit down restaurant. Stopped by Bang Bar by Momofuku today. I ordered the chicken teriyaki rice bowl ($17). The portion was solid and it came out quickly--which I truly appreciated because I was very hungry--but the flavor itself was a bit bland overall. Nothing bad, just not especially memorable. That said, the service was excellent. The server was super friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which really made the experience better. Food was fast, service was great, and while the dish didn't wow me, it did the job. Not a place I'd rush back to for this particular bowl, but I wouldn't hesitate to return if I were nearby and hungry again--especially knowing the service is so good. read more

I really want to love this place but I just can't recommend too highly. The food was good but very salty, at least to my taste. The service was fine, order was ok, he charged me $10 extra for meal instead of $8 on the sign. When I inquired, he said the cucumber salad was more. The difference was $1 vs $2 if we had to calculate but it's not worth following up. I picked the cumin beef, I was excited to try it, but it was just very salty. The cucumber salad is crunchy but even more salty. The only thing that made it not salty was taking a bite with the salad. Some bigger chunks of chicken was rock hard and way past well done. I couldn't take more than a bite. Within the food court at Cosmo- decided to grab a quick bite here. Asked the friendly worker what he recommended, I ended up going with a spicy pork wrap. The wrap itself was really good, an extra-tender tortilla? Lots of meat on a spit here, which honestly is all anyone really needs in life. The spice level was good and it was very flavorful. Well, it wasn't as good as last time. No more bao bread option. There's a wrap that's like an Ethiopian tortilla. It's ok. The spicy pork wrap $15 had some nice flavors, but parts of the pork were burnt. And I have never been a fan of burnt ends. I ordered the Fold Up, they let me choose two different flavors, I ordered the spicy pork and cumin beef. The line was pretty short, our order came out in about 5 mins. Good for a quick bite. The spicy pork (4.5/5) was amazing, very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It says spicy, but it is not that spicy so don't be afraid to try it. The cumin beef (3/5) tasted a lot like curry beef, which make sense as cumin is used to make curries. The beef wasn't as juicy as the pork. read more

There was wayyyy too much teriyaki sauce and the chicken was dry. The flatbread was good but unfortunately overpowered by the sauce. The portion was generous and they did not skim on the protein. However, it's not good for me to good back or recommend. The flatbread was about $14 but they also have a rice bowl for around the same price. We go through these things quickly, so whenever we see Chili Crunch hanging out on a shelf, you best believe we be picking up a few jars. - Seasoned Salt | Whimsically umami and deliciously peppery. I love to sprinkle a bit on top of my food for added complexity and depth. You can also purchase these online and even at certain grocery stores. We usually get the variety pack through the Momofuku website (Original, Black Truffle, Hot Honey, and Extra Spicy). Pro tip: they're all amazing in their own unique way. read more

This place was extremely mid. I did a quick tour around the food court in the Cosmo and this was one of the stops I made. FWIW, almost all of the food spots in the Cosmo are exceedingly mid but this was on the lower end for sure. I ordered a wrap with cumin beef. The wrap was not really a traditional wrap at all (I didn't expect something traditional but I expected it to at least be inspired by jian bing, which it was not), and the meat was not tender and too salty. I only tried the Spicy Pork U wrap and based on this, I'll give them 5 stars. The menu is really simple but I was still confused with the U wrap and the Fold ups. When you read the descriptions on the menu, the two items sound like the same thing. It also didn't help that they used a poor picture of the U wrap that hides the item behind a wrapper. U Wrap - It's a long, thin wrap that is made with a thin flat bread. I loved the flat bread and wrap as a whole was really enjoyable. Came back next day, and the wrap just wasn't as good - I think the pork wasn't as crispy as the previous day, and the sauce to meat ratio was too high; overall had a soggy feel. We also ordered the spicy pork fold ups, which were not as tasty as the uwrap, and the truffley, cheesey rice cakes, which were a little weird texturally and taste-wise.
