Where do I even begin? I started going to this Banfield in January 2026. I brought in my new puppy at 10 weeks old. He's had monthly visits and at times weekly visits. Every time I have come in I have seen familiar faces and new faces. Every time I meet someone new they're kind. The familiar faces are always so joyful to see my guy. It warms up my heart and my pups too! I have consistently seen Dr. Stark and she is amazing. I have more recently seen Dr. Padilla for an urgent allergic reaction. I called ahead of time and told them about the rapid progression of my pups allergic reaction. They were able to see him right away. They are familiar with him and were happy to take care of him and did so urgently. Dr. Padilla came out and explained her diagnosis and differentials. She was mindful to not ignore the differentials. She mentioned red flags to be aware of and precautions moving forward. She let me know the potential side effects of his cortisone and anti histamine medications, what to do if it worsens, and if it stays the same. She was thorough and informative. Honestly, I wanted to hug her! I was so worried. I was also very thankful that I brought my puppy in closer to closing time and they did not rush the treatment at all. They even mentioned keeping him an hour to monitor and said I could run an errand and come back. They just want to make sure the meds work accordingly as injections should have a much more rapid onset. Thank you to everyone at this location. I've been going to Banfield for years across many different states with my last doggy. So without a question I stayed with Banfield with my new puppy. You guys are awesome! read more

Worst vet ever, their primary focus is how to scam people and take your money. They keep making their own policies to try to make pick a plan for your pet. They don't even honor their own Dr. that work there. They make up excuses that if he is a fill in Dr. that it will not covered your dog prescription or care if he is not present at the time of your appointment or procedure. On Saturday, I had an appointment for my cats to receive their FAVN tests in preparation for our move to Hawaii. I had specifically called ahead to ensure the appointment would be with the doctor who was supposed to return from vacation, as this was a critical requirement for the paperwork. Despite confirming this beforehand, when I arrived at the appointment, I experienced an unacceptable wait and was ultimately told--after six hours--that the team did not realize this was the purpose of the appointment. This was completely unacceptable, as I had made the reason for the visit very clear during the scheduling process. Additionally, I was forced to wait an extra half hour to get my cats back while my two daughters waited in the car. This whole ordeal caused unnecessary stress for both my cats and my family. Following this, I had to seek assistance at the on-base vet clinic today, but I had forgotten my cats' gabapentin medication. I called Banfield to see if I could get their medication since your team has their records. However, it took over 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone, and no assistance was provided at all. To add to this ongoing frustration, when I came in to get the medication today, I was left waiting with two other clients because no one was manning the desk. One of the clients told me she had already been waiting for 10 minutes, and she also shared that she had to explain to the clerks--again--what her appointment was for, despite calling ahead and verifying the procedure. The clerks told her that wasn't what her appointment was for. This level of miscommunication and unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable. The repeated delays, poor communication, and lack of accountability have been extremely inconvenient and distressing. As a result, I will not be renewing my Optimum Wellness Plan or using your services moving forward. read more

BANFIELD SUCKS UPDATE We went to Banfield for our appointment and the vet told us that our dog, a boxer, has Pancreatitis from the anesthesia from his surgery. I asked them to do a fecal test. They did the test and said it was negative. However, they did prescribe a medication called Flagyl. I looked it up when I got home and it is specifically used for Giardia, parasites and bacteria. I didn't trust the diagnosis and took my dog to an emergency hospital. He had already lost 6 pounds and was very sick. Here's the kicker. While we were waiting for the Dr at the hospital my other boxer had a huge blowout and vomited. So, does this mean the Banfield Pancreatitis is contagious. Not aa chance. My dog did, indeed, catch a bug from Banfield My contention is that my dog was contaminated at Banfield and they had no intention of owning the problem. They would rather watch the dog become sicker and sicker rather than admit their office caused it. They bald faced denied it and I am livid. I would have had no problem if they would have owned the problem and jumped right on to the cure. But, they would rather let my dog become sicker and sicker and then infect my second dog. Incredible service by Dr. Cooper and all the woman at the front desk. I have a 100 pound 1 year old Rottweiler that is so strong and can be hard to handle. Usually my husband comes with to handle the dog but he couldn't make it. The girls noticed I was having a hard time handling him and cleared the lobby of any other dogs that may have made it difficult for me. They also took him back right away so I didn't have to struggle with him. They were very respectful of his large size and personality. My dog had to be sedated to have his procedure done and the doctor called Me to go over the cost and everything with me before proceeding. I am so grateful for the entire staff and how they handled todays visit. Unfortunately this office is a bit of a drive for me but entirely worth it! read more

UPDATE: IM LOSING MY MIND WITH THIS PLACE!!! they called me at noon today saying i can come pick up my puppy's medicine today. they confirmed on the phone that they don't close until 6!!!! i am here at 4:30 to come pick it up- THEY'RE CLOSED EARLY AGAIN!!! stop telling me to come pick up the fucking medicine and having me drive out of the way to come get it and then closing early as shit!!!! this has been 3 times now!!!!! my dog is now over a week late on her medicine because you don't stay open when you're supposed to!!!! I had previously been to a banfield that was located inside of a petsmart and I couldn't stand any of their doctors or staff - they were all extremely rude and suggested asinine things to help relieve my dogs allergies. I recently moved from Orange County and I needed to get my dog in for a quick checkup. I didn't have much time to look around but did notice this facility while driving around. I'm glad I gave this standalone banfield a chance. I was worried I'd run into the same attitude I'd experienced in OC but Dr. Post & Dr. Cooper here are wonderful. They've been helpful and welcoming every time I've brought my old guy in and are good about explaining things. They have an online scheduling system which works out well for me since I don't have time at work to call them to schedule something. read more

I wish I would have read reviews before scheduling my kitten for a vaccine booster at Banfields. I took her in for her booster with the intention Banfield would be our established veterinarian. Everything was o'kay with check-in, my kitten and I were taken to an exam room, (my kitten was in her carrier), even though I was on time, early as a matter of fact, we weren't seen for another 15 minutes past our appointment time. Still no worries. A tech came in first, went over what we needed while entering services into the computer. She explained to me that a rabis vaccine would be mandatory and included that in the services. I told her I wasn't interested in the rabis vaccine as my kittens are strictly indoor cats. I also know that in this city there is no regulation, as there is with dogs, that cats have to be licensed which is further verification that a rabis vaccine for a cat may be recommended but is not mandatory. She then told me that the dr. would make the determination regarding the rabis vaccine. The vet came in, I stressed that I did not want the rabis vaccine for my kitten. She then took my kitten in her carrier to another room, without me to perform the exam and administer the vaccine. That was odd. I truly have no idea if my kitten was actually examined and given the vaccine. All I have is their word. I have never been separated from my pet at a veterinarian before. The vet brought my kitten back, let me know when the next booster was due and said that my pet would not be serviced again if I did not have her vaccinated for rabis and was told that it was a Riverside County mandate. Well, it isn't. It might be the businesses policy but there is no law or regulation. I've researched this extensively, called other pet hospitals and found this not to be true as I suspected. The vet also tried to tell me that the chances of my kitten being bitten by a bat were high. Really? I think not. Under CA code of regulations, 121635, there is funding to eradicate rabis in California.....imagin that. I will assume a provider/county would have to show how many vaccines are given to continue to receive funding. And nowhere in the CA code of regulations did I find anything in relation to rabis vaccines for cats being mandatory. They tried to charge me for something I really didn't need and tried to make me believe there were laws, rules, and regulations that back them to do this. The kick in the butt was when I was told my pet would not be seen without the rabis vaccine. Needless to say, I won't be back. When I got home and checked my invoice that was e-mailed to me, I saw a $6.20 fee for medical waste disposal!!!! I immediately shopped around after I got home for a new vet, this time I asked more questions. I did find a local pet hospital that charges a little bit more for the vaccine booster my kitten will need again in a few weeks, I asked about the supposed rabis vaccine requirement and if that establishment required it, they did not AND the office visit fee was waived! So. That tells me my suspicions about Banfield's explanation of the cat rabis vaccine is pure b.s. It seems getting as much money as possible out of their clients is priority. Not that they need it, this company is huge, Banfield owns clinics in the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom..... read more

I would highly advise against going here. As a new dog owner I signed up for the wellness plan- as time went on and they switched vets (which they do a lot) it seemed like all they wanted to do was upsell me. They kept telling me my dogs teeth were really bad (she was only 4) so I took her to get a second opinion. The second opinion was that my dogs teeth were fine. Then they wanted to test a lump on my dog for cancer ( which is fine) but the vet tech told me that they didn't think it was a fatty lump and most likely cancer. For a whole week I was extremely anxious, couldn't eat or sleep. Turned out everything was fine. I found it very unprofessional that they told me that, we should have waited for results. These are just some of the stories. It started feeling icky and unauthentic there. Doesn't seem like they really care about my dog at all. Needless to say we switched vets and will not be going back. I get that they are a business but they take it way too far. read more

If you make an early appointment here, clear your entire morning. It shouldn't have had to take 30 minutes for me to get checked in so my dog could get one shot. They only have one person checking people in. I had to leave without being seen. No one cared though. I told them to cancel my appointment and they said "okay." With Covid-19 going on, our banfield appts for our Ellie B have been cancelled. We found out that the Temecula Parkway banfield hospital is actually closed for the time being (we were able to make an appt for that location on thurs before we knew it was closed). It was by some chance that my husband spoke with a vet tech from the Temecula Town Center Banfield on Ynez and sure enough we were able to get our girl seen on Sat. I had an unfortunate experience at Banfield. I had a confirmed appointment scheduled, and I had to drive 50 mins each way to get my dog checked for preventative care & vaccines updated. The long drive was because it's the only place that we can get the earliest appointment. So, when I showed up... my appointment wasn't in their system. I showed them proof that we have the appointment at said time and location. Even with proof, they refused to see my dog. I was so disappointed with how they weren't trying to right it or understanding that the mistake was on their part. It's like "*shrugs* sorry." Don't even bother replying to this comment, Lisa. I spent 30 minutes on the phone just to refill some medication for my dog to be told to call the Murrieta location. I thought the point of banfield was that you could take your pet to ANY banfield. I have lived in several different states and when we move we have never been told to refer to another location. It should never take a business 30 minutes to tell someone to call another location. It took me less than 2 minutes on the phone with the Murrieta location to complete the transaction. I would recommend to either find replacements for Nancy and Brenda or train them properly. read more

I've never been to any medical professional that wanted to charge me for a whole range of exams before the doctor even got a look at me, but this is apparently standard practice at Banfield. I took my pup in to get checked out because she had some eye redness and swelling and before the vet even got a look at her the vet techs had already set me up for a whole bunch of expensive tests and just asked me nonchalantly how I wanted to pay. I told them no and that I wanted to talk to the vet first. The vet claimed that my dog was having an allergic reaction and I should give my pup Benadryl and remove certain foods from her diet to figure out what she was allergic to. I took her advice and after consistently giving her the medicine and trying out to see if specific foods are causing her allergic reactions, I saw no improvement. In fact her eye in recent days has been especially runny and crusty. I called Banfield to see if vet could prescribe a cream that could help with her condition since there was no resolution from the first visit. They flatly told me that it had been over a month since I took her in and would have to set up another appointment and pay for another office visit. One month is barely enough time to properly check for allergies through an elimination diet, which is what the vet instructed. I won't be returning to this vet for my pups. Feels like they prioritize profits over pet health. I do not recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars for this vet I would. I scheduled an appointment for vaccines only because my dogs did not need an exam they only needed the state controlled and regulated vaccines. My wife took our dogs to the appointment and was told the vaccines they got one month ago were not accepted by them. They insisted it was okay to re vaccinate them with annual vaccines and it would not harm them. They up sold her on those vaccines and charged 60 dollars per dog for an exam which was not needed or requested. If there website has the option for an exam or vaccines only they should not be charging you for an unwanted or unapproved exam. They double dosed my dogs with yearly vaccines to make a profit. I will never take my animals to this place again and will find a vet that cares about the pet not the penny. My wife felt bullied and pressured and didn't even have time to process the "treatment" before they took the dogs and started ringing up the charges. Do yourself a favor and go to a vet that cares not a vet that has a quota to meet and sells to be achieved. I wish I wouldn't of given this place thousands of dollars in the past to neuter our dogs. read more

I have been here twice and the first time everything turned out well. I thought I found my new vet after moving from Arizona. The second time comes around and I brought my dog to get a cyst he had drained and cleaned and treated. They told me they cleaned it out, drained it and sent me home with antibiotics for him to help the healing process and that was it, no other instructions. I noticed on the way home he had a decent sized hole but I figured that was just the process of helping the cyst drain. A few weeks go by and I'm seeing the hole is still there and the cyst has been leaking puss the entire time, I figured it was the "healing process". I woke up the next day to my dogs entire side and face covered in blood and puss. I of course freaked out and called them asking if there was any way they could squeeze my dog in either that day or the next soonest being that they were the ones who caused the problem and I didn't want any chance for it to possibly get infected. The lady I spoke with on the phone had no sense of empathy and just flat out told me no, they wouldn't be able to see my dog until the next month so to call other vets because "you probably want to get that checked out soon" was her quote. I called the Banfield a few miles away from them to see what their availability was and after telling them my experience here, even they were shocked. I understand if the schedule is busy and they just don't have time for my dog, but the way she just said no was extremely unprofessional, as if the comfort and health of my pet was an inconvenience to her instead of a priority. I ended up finding Menifee Animal Hospital who were a lot more understanding, squeezed me in the next day, and even told me how to care for it in the mean time. I gave 2 stars because my first experience with them was good, but knowing they don't care about my pet as much as they should was enough for me to never come back. I get having bad days and getting stressed out in busy rushes, but you need to be able to continue to show understanding, patience, and empathy when working in an occupation where you are caring for families loved pets and owners who are just scared for their pets well being. read more

If you have seen my pet multiple times before, and I describe a very simple, very common issue over the phone...please tell me why you "are unable to recommend" any solution at? I get it, liability. But then, absolutely no hesitation in telling me all the fees $150+, for something I KNOW is OTC. And when I call around to other local vets, they are able to do just that...recommend a solution, have a real conversation about how to help my pet, and not try to charge me sn obscene amount of money. Banfield is a corporation, remember that... not the home town vet office you expect to actually care for your pet. Go somewhere else. read more

my puppy Goku hadnt been feeling good hadnt eaten in 4 days. he was very lethargic and theowing up.webwere able to get an appointment fast and they were super nice. i appreciate that they worked around our budget too. they said goku had parvo and his twin sister probably had it too we were sent home with and iv an stuff.we took him in monday and i thought it was too late for him but with lots of tlc and short syringe feeds as well as iv he was up and running around on wed. je made a fully recovery. sadly his sister who showed signs after him seemed it hit her harder and we lost her the same wed her brother had felt better. i couldn't take her in not even to er since with nothing i walking distance and i couldnt bus since i didnt have change she passed away in my arms.im so grateful that at least one puppy was saved. would 100% go there again :) read more

First off...want to say we were members of another pet hospital nearby, and were not happy with the service. But we were blessed by the arrival of this local Banfield, closer to our home. We have visited this location many times, and our experience is beyond words. Today we had a minor emergency, as our precious Annie (Akita) had a sudden rash! What to do?....So we called in and made an appointment with Banfield for a visit and evaluation. Bree, Kim, and Robert were so helpful, friendly, and courteous. Eager to help our precious Annie to figure this out. We knew Dr. Megan Cooper was busy with other valuable family members in the back, but she took her time to come out and see us for a few minutes, to comfort and assure us that Annie would be okay. This meant the world to us. We know she is back there, with more pressing issues, but she took her valuable time to see us. We will Never forget that!!! She reminded us to carefully apply the medication prescribed, and to keep an eye on our Annie throughout the following days. We appreciate this place, and Highly Recommend them, if you have a beloved pet (family member) that you need care for, or advice on a healthy diet. Best Place In Temecula Period!!! Do not EVER take your beloved dog or cat to Banfield at town center in Temecula. They are incompetent..rude and actually had a meeting today and slandered my husband and myself. They claim we are rude..oh good lord they cannot even prescribe flea medication..simparica trio to be exact. One of our beautiful german shepherds has a chronic skin condition....vet took away his meds...why??? She no longer wanted us as customers. I am considering filing a lawsuit for slander against this vet. She has absolutely no business practicing ANY kind of medicine. He is now covered in scabs and pus. Took him to a different vet today he had a bacterial and fungus infection both. And might I add I have NEVER andbI mean NEVER been talked to as Kelsey spoke to me today. Accused me of cussing out the staff oh good grief. One appointment took 2 whole hours they have no clue what they are doing. And they slandered myself and my husband. I called the new Banfield because no one answered my call from the Temecula 79 Banfield. They were able to book a following an appointment for my daschund Charlie. He was continuously shaking his ears and I was worried he had an ear infection. The office is a stand alone clinic, which was great for my nervous pup. (Less distractions and people) We went in and the staff and doctor were incredible. Charlie's ears checked out but the doctor stated he could be suffering from allergies and gave me some options to try. She also gave me advice on how to handle his anxiety issues and offered prescription medication alternatives if he didn't improve. I received a follow up call from the receptionist as well as the doctor. Impressive customer service. read more

Being with Banfield for a long time, my experience in this incident has me changing doctors for my pets, I am now with "AngelCare Pet Hospital" who has accommodated me and my pets needs when Banfield would not. My cat who is a rescue from Petsmart broke his top incisor, Murrieta Petsmart/Banfield refered me to this Temecula location and upon meeting the Doctor I was informed it would take multiple sedation's, one for the head xray and another for the procedure, being that I work in SD and under time constraints I asked for a single sedation (better for the cat) for xray and extraction and I can rush down around noon, taking off from work. I counted 8 times the Doctor telling me to call other veterinarians, they could do the work but it would take over a week, I informed them repeatably that my cat could not eat and if they could please rush this procedure, they referred me to the Carlsbad Banfield and again told me to call other veterinarians. Perturbed, I payed their fee's and painkillers and walked out the door, no service done to my cat and no assurances that they wanted to take care of my family member. I followed the Doctors suggestion to call around for another vet who could take care of my cat and "AngelCare" immediately recognized my cat was in dire need and the procedure was done Friday the 7th mid day, incident happened on the 5th, 2.5 days with no food or water. "AngelCare Pet Hospital" is now my go to for ALL my pets needs. I am extremely disappointed in Banfield for not recognizing or even acknowledging that my family member needed help. read more
