A few weeks ago, my German Shepherd had a sudden emergency, and it was every pet owner's worst nightmare. Her regular vet wasn't able to see her, and our local ER had a seven hour wait time. I was panicked and started frantically Googling nearby veterinarians. This hospital had amazing reviews, so I decided to take a chance and call. From the moment I explained the situation, they didn't hesitate, they told me to bring her in right away. When we arrived, the entire staff was warm, compassionate, and incredibly welcoming. You could feel that they genuinely care about both pets and their owners. In the middle of a stressful situation, that kind of kindness makes all the difference. Dr. Gill was absolutely wonderful. He was patient, thorough, and took the time to clearly explain everything that was happening and what our options were. His bedside manner is exceptional, calm, reassuring, and knowledgeable. I never felt rushed, and he made sure all of my questions were answered. I truly love my current vet, which says a lot, but after this experience, I will be switching to VRVH. I don't mind the 40 minute drive one bit for this level of care. It is worth every single mile. If you're ever in a stressful situation with your pet and need a team you can trust, I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

I would give this practice zero stars if I could. I was a client of this veterinary office for approximately 1.5 years. The care and overall experience were generally average--not exceptionally bad, but not particularly good compared to other veterinary practices I have used. One of the reasons I initially chose this office was because they offer a military discount. Unfortunately, my experience completely changed when I requested a copy of my dog's medical records. I first requested my dog's complete medical records on April 6, 2026, via email. After receiving no records, I sent multiple follow-up emails and made several phone calls over the next two months. The only response I received was on April 25, 2026, when I was told: "Dr. Gill is aware and is finalizing the notes to send. Once they are signed off and approved to send, we will send them ASAP." Despite that assurance, the records were never provided. Timeline of my requests: * 4/6/26 - Initial records request submitted via email * 4/15/26 - Follow-up email sent * 4/25/26 - Office responded stating records would be sent ASAP after doctor approval * 4/29/26 - Additional follow-up email sent * 5/27/26 - Called office; information taken and promised a callback * 5/28/26 - Follow-up email sent * 6/1/26 - Called office again; information taken and promised a callback * 6/9/26 - Called office again and was told the doctor had to release the records More than two months after my original request, I still did not have my dog's records. I ultimately had to drive to the office in person and explain that I would wait there until the records were released. Looking back, I realized this was not an isolated issue. I often had to follow up multiple times to obtain records after routine visits as well. For pet owners with pet insurance, specialists, emergency visits, or anyone who simply needs access to their pet's medical records in a timely manner, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Access to medical records is a basic expectation, and after more than two months of unanswered requests, emails, and phone calls, I completely lost confidence in this practice's administrative processes. As a result of this experience, I will be filing a complaint with the state veterinary licensing board regarding the failure to provide records in a timely manner. I hope this review encourages the practice to improve its communication and records-release process so other pet owners do not have to go through the same experience. read more

We have been quite happy with Vail Ranch Veterinary Hospital. They are conveniently located very close to where we live. Front office staff and vet assistants are all very nice. Dr. Gill is very capable and takes the time to explain things. His business partner is the one who performs surgeries. We take our two pups here for all their vet needs. Micha girl is quite picky about who she allows to handle her, so the staff knows to depend on her dad to keep her under control and managed. They work with us on this. We are getting ready to have our MiCha girl's teeth cleaned where she will be put under for the procedure. It's a little stressful to think of her going under. We've been bringing our babies here for a year and a half. So far we've had regular check ups, dew claw trimming, teeth cleaned, anal glands expressed and vaccinations. Dr Gill has his on personality and is generally very pleasant. They have three exam rooms and lots of staff. All areas are clean and housekeeping is good. With dogs there can be accidents (pee/sick) and lots of hair. They are close to us and less than a five minute drive. Dr Singh is co owner and performs surgeries and supervises procedures. We recently had a scare with our sweet husky as we found a lump on his body. Our friend had recommended us to see her Veterinarian, Dr Gill at Vail Ranch Veterinary Hospital and we immediately set an appointment for him. We were able to make an appointment for the next day. They were friendly from the get go from the phone to the time we made our way in. The Veterinary Hospital is located on Temecula Parkway right next to Taco Bell. Just upon entering we felt at ease with the welcoming feeling with the staff. They have a nice reception area with what looked to be three exam rooms. It looked like they were busy but everything there seemed to work well like a well oiled machine. After weighing out sweet boy, they brought us to one of the exam rooms where they talked to us about our concerns. Just a few minutes later, they took his temperature and check out husky out. Dr Gill was a great listener, kind and patient. He put us at ease as with his diagnosis and didn't pressure us to do any unnecessary procedures. We loved the fact that he really listened to us unlike other places that are just there for the quick buck. The prices are reasonable and nothing but a great experience. We were staying at our Temecula home instead of our LA home, where our dog normally sees his longtime vet, when our pup suddenly vomited speckles of blood and mucus. Naturally, we were very worried. When I called, the receptionist immediately consulted with the doctor and told us to bring him in right away -- they would fit us in. That alone meant so much during such a stressful moment. Our wait was very brief, and the visit was incredibly thorough. The doctor clearly explained every detail of his tests, prescribed medications, and recommended a low-fat diet. At first, we hesitated about doing X-rays, and they respected that. However, they took the time to show us how the results connected to his bloodwork and why imaging would be helpful. Once we agreed, the doctor carefully reviewed the X-rays with us and explained everything step by step. I'm truly grateful for the compassion, patience, and professionalism we experienced. My pup is like my child, and thanks to their care, he's feeling much better. We couldn't have asked for a better experience during such a scary time. read more

From routine vaccines, check-ups, all the way to responding to various emergencies I have had with both cats and pugs. Some times I have to call last minute due to an emergency and may have to wait because I don't have an appointment but the level of care of why I keep coming back. Compassion and empathy go a long way with me and that is what I see when anyone who works here deals with the animals that come in the door. Dr. Gill will explain the various options you can authorize for treatment and afterwards he goes over the results with you so you feel like a part of the process. This man has saved some of my pets due to his care and I will forever be grateful to him. He has also shown me great empathy when we have had to put down some of our elderly cats when the time came. Does his office get busy? Absolutely, he is a great vet. Is there a chance you will have to wait to be seen? Yes, but that is because he is great vet. I have been with him since I have been in Temecula in 2015, and his prices have remained very fair considering how the economy has changed. Completely disrespectful of customers' time. I had an appointment for a routine allergy shot for my dog. It usually take 5 minutes "in and out", but they made me wait 40 minutes "because the doctor was stuck in traffic" and they needed his authorization for the shot. I checked google traffic map and all roads within a 50 mile radius were green with occasional yellow. Upon my insistence they called him and obtained the authorization over the phone. read more

Although the front office staff were friendly, I'm very disappointed in the overall experience--particularly with the doctor and a few other issues. I made an appointment a week in advance to get my pup vaccinated, but when I arrived, they couldn't find me in the system. While mistakes happen, and that didn't bother me too much, the facility itself also seemed like it could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness. Still, I tried to overlook those things. What did bother me was the wait time. My appointment was at 11:00 AM, and I wasn't seen or out of there until nearly 1:00 PM. That's an excessive wait, especially for something as quick as routine shots. The front desk even mentioned they might have confused me with another 11:00 AM appointment who didn't show--which means I should've been seen on time. The most frustrating part, however, was the interaction with the doctor. I didn't catch his name, but I believe he may have been of Indian descent. He was dismissive and made it seem like I was lying about having an appointment. That's not only unprofessional, but also offensive. I'm not sure why anyone would fabricate a vet appointment--I simply wanted to get proper care for my pet. Veterinarians should help you feel welcome and reassured, not questioned or uncomfortable. Sadly, that was not the case here. I will not be returning and will be taking my pup elsewhere for future care. read more

So utterly disappointed with my experience on Wednesday (3/12/25). We have a nine-year-old English bulldog who began vomiting blood . Prior to this she has always been healthy and had no medical issues. Understanding that she was probably at the end of her lifespan we decided to go in and seek professional advice on how to proceed. upon visiting with the doctor, he tried to tell us that nine years old was not old for an English bulldog, I advised him that we have had several bulldogs in the past and am familiar with the English bulldog characteristics. The doctor advised us to have several blood work screenings so he could get to the cause of the bleeding. I told the doctor due to my English bulldog's age I didn't want to see them suffer any further and stated I wanted my English bulldog to rest in eternal peace. The doctor advised me it was a three step process that would take a little bit of time. As the doctor was administering the treatment, he looked at me and told me that it appeared as if my bulldog had internal bleeding, and this was the best choice. When the doctor stepped out of the room, a vet tech came in and told me they didn't believe these symptoms just happened.... As if I was making this up. I don't know what the reason for that statement was, but it made me feel upset, I could not believe the lack of empathy shown by this hospital staff for my current situation. Especially since my English bulldog vomited a large amount of blood while in their facility, the staff saw with their own eyes, the significant amount of blood that came out of my English bulldog. I usually don't write reviews, but I think it is important to warn people in my community about this unprofessional staff who clearly has a lack of empathy and is just here for financial gain. I would definitely recommend going anywhere else because this business clearly only cares about their financial gain. Beware. I'm not sure if the doctors are aware of this, but I called to get rabbi shots for my cat. I had asked what I should expect for the cost just to get an idea because the last time I was there I was changed $800 to have my cat looked at for 5 mins, which ended up nothing being wrong. (no complains, I paid it) The specialist put me on hold and then came back and said, "based on our records, we are not going to see you because you did not seem happy with what we charged you the last time" I'm like, excuse me? I'm not sure what they are talking about because when I questioned them two years ago, the conversation was good and the girl was friendly and explained how payments are billed, so I learned something. Secondly, I paid my bill promptly as I always do with my bills and I've even said good things about this doctor. If I had an issue, why would I even call them? So They refuse to take me because I questioned them about my bill two years ago. So I basically told them that "if you want to treat me this way, I'll just leave some reviews." I was upsets and my tone was not kind at this point because I did not see what the issues was. When i called back to talk to a manager, she had a pompous tone like they didn't really care and the manager said, "please don't call back because my employees feel like they are being threatened" Threatened because I said I was going to leave some bad reviews? They called the psychic sheriff's department on me. I've NEVER been in trouble with the law, not even one record over the last 50 years. So what ever they want to say, these people are nuts. I'm glad I did not bring my cat to them. Their phone recording is telling people, because of COVID 19 to wait out in the car and that they recommend people wear a mask to come into the office. What year is it? 2025 My sister has just dropped them also. Based on all the positive reviews, I can't help but believe these are friends and family members leaving fake reviews. Money hungry. Please take your fur babies somewhere else!!!!! I brought my dog in with the swollen face, immediately the doctor tells me that it's a rattlesnake bite. Looked at my dog for probably less than 10 seconds immediately came up with this diagnosis. Then proceeds to tell me that my dog needs anti-venom immediately because the rattlesnake bite is poisonous and there is an 80% chance my dog will not make it without receiving the services today. I love my dog and financially this is a huge unexpected bill for me, but I charged it. They gave me a low of $1200 and a high of $1350. When I asked if there was anything that we could do to possibly take some of the services off (anything that wasn't completely necessary) they responded everything is necessary. The amount of guilt they make you feel when you ask this question is completely unnecessary-- as a working mom this is a huge bill and I was just trying to see if there is a way that it could be lowered. I was definitely scared and I didn't want to take the chance to get a second opinion so I moved forward with the services. Left at 5pm, after arriving at 11am. They left the IV in my dogs arm and told us to come back tomorrow: if she was doing OK they would take it out, and in case of an emergency to keep it in. They gave me an upfront bill for $400 if I was to be seen the following day. They are charging me again for an office visit and when I asked, wouldn't this be considered a follow up visit should there be a charge for this? They gave me NO wiggle room and said there will be an additional charge every time the dog comes even though we are following up on services that I paid today totaling up to $1350! The next day, my dog is not showing any signs of the condition getting worse so we go and request to take the IV out. Two more days go by and now my dog is limping at the area where the IV was taking out. I call and ask if this is normal. They told me possibly it could be infected that I should bring her back in. The doctor said he wants to do x-rays more bloodwork and the list goes on and of course they're going to charge me for another office visit. I immediately said no thank you. I will be going to my veterinarian of choice. If you love your dog, please don't take them here money hungry will upsell you any options they can!!! read more

While Dr Gill is an amazing vet, the office is run very poorly. The staff over book to the extreme. Everything needs an office visit. So, you schedule a visit for 10am but are left waiting for hours because they have triple booked 10am. Having to wait two hours for a 5 minute exam isn't something I find to be professional. Plus add in the anxiety for the animal, it's just too stressful. Another thing I found lacking with this office is the amount of days it takes to refill a prescription. It took 3 days to fill but when picking it up...it wasn't filled and I had to wait another 20 minutes for it. Use this vet if all you have is time to waste while the staff runs around looking stressed and overworked. Again, great vet, most staff was friendly but it's everything else that has me leaving and seeking another vet. Truly disappointing after reading so many wonderful experiences from other people. My dog is almost 6yrs old and this is the worst experience I've had with an office. They don't seem to genuinely care about the animals they see. read more

I took my dog in because he was having some minor trouble urinating. I agreed to the $700 dollar worth of checks. They said he had slightly enlarged prostate. But after he came home, he was almost unable to urinate at all. They were too busy to see hime again anytime soon. I finally took him to another vet for some meds which helped but they somehow injured him and now he is almost unable to pee at all. We now have to rush to get him neutered and not sure that will even fix it. Also, the last time I came in he had a blood clot in his ear. I paid $1500 to get that fixed but was never told it will clear up on its own. A month later it happended to his other ear so I waited and it cleared up on its own. Not going back. read more

My cat Link needed a check up today, he had a lump at the base of his tail. I couldn't be there so my boyfriend took him. Link is the sweetest boy on the planet but has ONLY ever hissed at vets he's met My bf FaceTimed me and Link was rubbing up on Dr. Kanwal and absolutely loved him. Also, turns out the meds I was giving my cat for his asthma weren't even prescribed correctly from previous vets, and could potentially cause way more harm than good. He was very thorough about everything with Link and explained it all over the phone to me bc I couldn't be there. So stoked to have found a good vet in Temecula that genuinely cares! read more

Alright. With this place I know it says you don't need an appointment but you do otherwise you'll be there forever. So make a appointment . Staff is always friendly. There one or two older staff that know more what they are doing. The young one tries. So that's good enough for me . The doctor is very professional and straight to the point. He is very clear what needs to be done. Only problem is having that call back for test result . They are so busy that you have to call them and remind them to call you back. But thats no problem . Everywhere is understaffed due to covid so I understand. This vet is so close to my house that I could walk there except I have cats so that won't happend. Hahahaha anyway this place is priced at the middle not to expensive not to cheap. I'd say that's what you wanna pay anyway because it's about your loves ones healty . Alright when you get in there you would have to call them before you enter to avoid to much people inside the hospital . You then wait in the lobby and fill out the paperwork . After that they moved you to a room. And would wait another 15mins . Doctor comes in gives you the run down ,does procedure that he need to do . Then you leave and settle the bill at the lobby and off you go. They sell medical food to in the lobby They Have some flyers would be interested regarding your pets.
