One of my menu items simply didn't taste right to me. I politely sent it back and even offered to pay for a replacement because I never expect something for free. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager (Luis) returned to our table and told me that he had tasted the item I ordered and that it tasted fine to him. Everyone's taste buds are different, and whether he agreed with my opinion wasn't really the issue. Good customer service is about listening to your customers and treating them with respect, even when you don't agree with them. The entire interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional, and it turned what should have been an enjoyable meal into a frustrating experience. My friends and I paid for what we had ordered...didn't eat...and left, never to return again. Thankfully, we have many excellent Mexican restaurants in the Auburn/Opelika area that value customer service, and that's where I'll be spending my business in the future.
