We had a larger birthday party and we seated promptly. Our server, Katie, was there almost immediately and filled our drink orders and answered all our questions about menu items in a very friendly manner. Our dinners were delivered and very delicious. We are definitely making Bandanas a more frequent stop. read more

I ordered 1/3rd of a slab of ribs, 2oz's of turkey, coleslaw and beans. The ribs were way way over cooked and cold The turkey, coleslaw and beans were great. It's a good thing the turkey and sides were really good as that ended up being my diner all though I really wanted ribs. Do yourselves a favor, don't order the ribs read more

We have consistently had positive experiences while dining at Bandana's Bar-B-Q. The staff, specifically Chad, consistently offer a warm and inviting welcome. Our servers, most recently Paige, are consistently friendly and attentive to our needs. The portions are generous and flavorful. The restaurant maintains a clean and well-maintained environment, and the aroma hinted at in their tagline, "smell that smoke", is noticeable upon arrival. We will definitely return! read more

Bandanas used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Evansville. Unfortunately, lunch on Tuesday 5/14 was average at best. It's been a couple years since we last dined here. Just like most all restaurants, their prices have increased significantly. I can understand their need to increase prices, however, I expect the same quality of food if I'm going to pay these increases. My wife ordered the half rack of ribs with fried okra, baked potato and a side salad. The ribs were dry and seemed "warmed over" from the weekend. These were not 1st quality. The salad was adequate and the potato and fried okra were awesome. I had the Brisket lunch platter with a side salad and baked potato. Once again, the brisket had a "warmed over" leftover flavor. The brisket was dry and almost flavorless. The salad and baked potato were very good. Service was good. Check including one beer, iced tea and 22% tip was few cents under $60. Doubt we'll return. read more

I played Yelp Roulette in Evansville and found within 2 miles of my disc golf tournament, Banderas. BBQ is always a winner for me. Banderas has an up to date casual modern BBQ dining vibe. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to study the menu but I used Yelp to look at photos. I felt like pulled pork, ribs, potato salad, and beans were a safe choice. The meal came with 3 ribs which had a tasty glaze to them. These ribs were easy to chew and had a flat head to them. The outlet pork was impressive as it was cooked just right and easy to pull apart. All the sauces mixed well with the ribs and pork. The potato salad was your standard creamy mustard base and the beans had a smoky flavor to them. They tasted homemade. There are 5 sauces and all are impressive. The original is a mustard base. Then there is a Chicago sweet that had a little heat. KC was your standard mild tomato base. Sweet and smoky was an accurate description. And then the spicy which was spicy but not hot. I liked the Spicy and Original the best. Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet which was amazing for me considering I was on the North side of the Ohio River. Banderas is an excellent choice for BBQ in Evansville. read more

Decided to try out Bandana's BBQ. Crowded place but we got a table within 5 minutes. As soon as you come through the front doors, you'll "smell that smoke" which is their theme. Our server Richard asked for drink orders and returned in a minute. He is one fast moving guy and even cracked a joke. Ordered some brisket, burnt ends, turkey, chicken, ribs, smoked sausage, and catfish along with the baked and green beans, fried okra , and potato salad as sides. The food arrived on a platter and you simply get what you want and plate it. Needless to say, the burnt ends were incredible!!! Having tried burnt ends at other restaurants during my travels, the ones at Bandana's are the best so far. The rest of the food on the platter including the sides were great tasting and we nearly finished everything, except for a couple pieces of the smoked sausage, which meant no room for dessert. Richard was on top of everything, refilling the drinks and providing more jokes. He was an excellent server. Went to to the back of the restaurant and you'll see their smokers working full time to create some great food. Although there's other options that we didn't try, it is highly recommend to drop in and visit Bandana's for some incredible BBQ. read more

From the outside this looks like a place you may want to pass up for the bigger franchise options, however, if you did pass it up you'd be doing yourself a disservice. You can smell the smoke when you get out of your car in the parking lot. Nice clean restaurant though a little worn in spots. Country decor on the inside. Not a large place but the service is fast so the wait is never too long. Waitress (Abbie) was very friendly and attentive. We usually get the "Budget Buster" meals, which includes a meat option, 2 side items and a piece of Texas toast. Every time we have come here the food is consistently good. The meats are never dry and always have great flavor. Side dishes are fresh made and flavorful. They have 5 different barbecue sauces to choose from on the table. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for barbecue. read more

very disappointed again. Won't be ordering Bandanas on DoorDash again. They messed our order up and when I called, all they said was, "call Door Dash." REALLY?!?!? Since when does DD fulfill the order?. When do they put the items in a bag? When does DD seal the bag with a label?? Piss poor customer service!!! read more

Drove by this establishment a few times and it was always busy so thought we would try it and glad we did. Had the ribs for two with 2 sides was definitely enough for two. Looked around for dinner and came across some good reviews of Bandana's Bar-B-Q in Evansville, IN. Sat at the bar and my server Madison took my drink order while I looked over the extensive menu. I went with the 3-meat combo platter to sample a few meats plus you get two sides. A huge platter of Brisket, Chicken, and Ribs plus Cole Slaw and Mac & Cheese (upcharge). This is a filling meal and the two huge garlic bread slabs really put it over the top. I must say the chicken was my favorite...tender, moist, and a nice smoke flavor made this the star of the platter. The brisket was just OK...a little dry and needed BBQ sauce to make it taste better (Brisket abuse...lol). The ribs were good, but there wasn't much meat on them which made them a tad dry...so good flavor but scrawny ribs. Not sure of the sauce on the ribs, kind of had an Asian "sticky" flavor. They offer five different BBQ sauces and my favorite was the Chicago Sweet...great flavor, not overly sweet, nice smoky flavor. The Cole Slaw is mayonnaise based and has a sweet and creamy flavor, one of the better slaws I've enjoyed. The Mac & Cheese was OK, but in my opinion did not justify the $1.99 upcharge as a premium side. The garlic toast was great but didn't get much attention due to the other items on my plate. The service was great and attentive and the cost for the meal was reasonable. If I were to dine here again, I would probably just get chicken...it was that good! read more

We just ate our carry out order from the Bandanas in Evansville. We've eaten at all of their locations at least once. We were visiting Evansville and was in the mood for BBQ. We found Bandana's on Yelp and the good reviews. We ate here on a Friday night around 6:00 and got right in. It was crowded but the service great. Our waitress took great care of us all night. I ordered the combo plate with sausage and the smoked turkey along with beans and the potato salad. The meats were perfect. They have six sauces to choose from so I put the white sauce on the turkey and the Chicago based with the sausage. The beans were smokey flavored and the potato salad good. My wife got the third of rack of ribs that she enjoyed. She said her ribs were juicy and had the right amount of pull off the bone. My sister got the beef melt sandwich and my mom the budget buster smoked turkey. We ended the meal splitting six donut holes. They taste like beignets and were really good. read more

Needed a quick lunch to go, so I ordered online. You pick up the to go orders at the bar. The bartender couldn't find my order at first because apparently their website sends you to grub hub. Got a loaded baked potato with pork. I asked for some extra butter and barbecue sauce thinking it may not have enough for my liking. So I get back to work and open the box to a little bit of lunch heaven. Then potato was dwarfed in pork and cheese. The potato was perfectly done, the pork was tender and delicious. I've been unimpressed at times with Bandana's, but this time did not disappoint. read more

They have really good food and service! Never disappointed. I usually get the brisket and pulled pork!

Brought me some brisket that was so dry I choke and had to go to the restroom and gag it up so I didn't choke to death not exaggerating

Would like to give them 5 stars and would do 4.5 if I could. Only reason for loss of 1 star is the sides were really subpar. Everything else was amazing. The sides didn't taste bad but got about 15 fries and the side salad was just that. In an oatmeal sized bowel nothing special. The wings were amazing. Good sized and the hot was perfect sauce wise. No blue cheese offering also took away from rating. The actual meal was great. The beef and pork were both perfect and they were hot and fresh. The spicy sauce was also great. The service was great and ice cold beer. I saw Kristin the manager on duty interacting with many customers and like that. I will probably be back and would definitely eat there again. read more

My overall busy here was okay. My food portions didn't seem huge but it was enough to fill me up. I came on a busy night and the parking lot was full. It was really hard to find parking because their parking lot wasn't surrounding the entire building. It is you shaped so if you can't find a parking spot you would have to reverse and back out and I saw a lot of people doing that. It's not very convenient and dangerous for other vehicles that are parked around. We had a 10-minute waiting time because the restaurant was so packed. Our waitress was busy running around so our drinks weren't filled as quickly as they could have been. read more

First Time eating at Bandana's and the Evansville location has been around for over 5 years! Oh Well!! For my first visit I had the 3 entree platter and selected ribs, beef, and sausage. For my two sides I selected cole slaw (you gotta have cole slaw with bbq or you're not doing it right) and green beans. The platter also came with 2 large pieces of garlic bread. The entree's were all outstanding, but if I had to pick my favorite it would be the sausage. The ribs were very good and tasted great on their own and didn't need any extra sauce (the mark of good bbq). The garlic bread was great and the cole slaw was pretty good. The green beans...were green beans. They would be hard to mess up. I love BBQ and I got to tell you- this is the best BBQ chain restaurant I have ever been to. Outstanding tasting BBQ and fast / friendly service. What more do you want? I highly recommend that you check it out if you have not already done so. read more

Tasty BBQ and sides. Ribs and brisket sandwich were good enough to eat without sauce. Cole slaw was creamy and flavorful. Wife and kids enjoyed theirs as well. I liked that they had a few combo meals available that feed multiple people. And being able to add a pork rib to an order is a great idea. I'm picky about BBQ and I'd gladly come back to this place to try more. read more

For me, texture is the key to success when it comes to BBQ. Excellent smoked meat here... Sides not so much. Ordered a 2-meat dinner plate. The beef was the perfect texture. Perfectly cooked, sliceable, soft, moist. Not much was added to flavor the beef, so you do need to use some of the 6 choices of BBQ sauces. I like that I have to actually chew the meat a little as opposed to meat that just falls apart. The ribs were also very good. A little bark to it, with a subtle sweet rub. They were perhaps a hair on the dry side, and didn't quite come off the bone completely clean, but for me, the texture was perfect. The BBQ game here is LEGIT! The coleslaw was decent and perfect amount of vinegar and creaminess. Now for the bad. The boiled peanut appetizer was terrible. The waitress warned us, but I needed to try it anyway. They were WAY OVERCOOKED! It was pretty much mush inside, basically barely holding onto its peanut shape. Usually these things have a bit of snap to them and not a mash potato consistency. The brine was perfect though. My baked potato was also way overcooked. To the point where the potato innards were turning brown. Service was good and friendly. I came here for good BBQ, and I got that! But the sides I think could improve. read more
