After paying for a $100 tune up six months ago, they fixed a problem with the brakes, but they…read morestill made noise, which i don't think it should have, but it worked, and I don't complain about incompetence. But yesterday , my 17 yo daughter brought the bike up there for me, because she accidentally bent the front derailer. Even after she was explaining that it was for her dad, the service person repeatedly told her that there was a ton wrong with the bike (not at all) and the whole bike should be replaced. This is six months after a tune up. From them. Where nothing was ever stated that anything is wrong. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG, I've been riding it constantly, and the jerk salesman tried to take advantage of a couple of kids. It is a $600 bike with a bent derailer, and we were told we should just replace the whole thing? Um. No. I remember when Eddies came to that location, and was happy of their success after 20 some years, even if their prices are ridiculously high. Not so much anymore, sounds like they just want to prey on people for cash, or they only train their staff for commission. I'll never know, as I won't be setting foot in there again. There are a few other family owned bike shops in the area who might actually not be cool with ripping kids off. Shame on you.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Keep in mind this is for the South Taylor location…read more On the upside: - it's a local business, been around since 1931. Impressive. - anything you need for your bike, they'll probably have it. Convenient. - decent prices (I compared them to Fridrich's when I bought my bike) The downside: - the service. The friggin' service. That kills it for me. Especially because it's a local business: I expect better (i.e. more personal) service from them. There are a couple of older fellas that are helpful....sometimes. (I'll expound upon this below) But, most of the time, they have a couple of clueless teenagers who can't even muster up enough BS to answer your questions. Fine, so the kids can't tell me how to stop the front tire from throwing slush & dirt into my face. So I'll ask the manager dude in the back. And this is my anecdote from yesterday: I tell the kid to find someone who can help me. The manager-guy comes out, surveys the situation, ignores what I have to say, and mumbles something about "you gotta move the splashguard down.... that's the problem." "Yea, I know. I usually have -" He cuts me off. "That's the problem. Move it down," he growls as he tries to get back to whatever he was doing in the back. I try again. "No, wait. I KNOW that. That's not the problem. It's - " "Hm. yea. Move it down." You get the picture. I give them 3 stars because - in spite of yesterday's debacle - I've had mediocre experiences before. But I'm not going back. I'll learn how to repair my bike myself (via the Bike Co-op). Punk finches can kiss it.

Bought a bike there a few months ago. While shopping and trying bikes out, the customer service…read morefrom the owner was perfect. After purchasing and having issues with my brand new, $600 bike, I was put in a queue for service that was a week long in the summer during prime cycling time. You'd think after spending over $1,000 (bought my wife a new bike from here too) and immediately having issues, you might get a little quicker action. Told the older, bald gentleman at the counter (who openly mocked Covid-19 at the time and wasn't wearing a mask) what was wrong with my bike in great detail. When I got my bike back, ALL the issues were still present, because that gentlemen wrote simply "Tune up" on the ticket. When I wanted it fixed correctly, I was told it would be put back in the queue again and not ready for another week. Nope...I called Two One Fix instead and just paid for the repairs so that I could keep riding. They came to my door and had me riding again without issue in less than an hour. Love my bike. Disappointed in the service from a local shop that I'd planned on frequenting and recommending to others. Bummer.
