What doesn't this store have? Banana Bart's is a great place to find your souvenirs if you are vacationing in Destin. It's also a great place to find the most random gifts even if you are a local here. They had tshirts, trinkets, and all kinds of cool stuff here. The lady who worked here was super friendly as well! read more

I'm so disappointed in this gift shop. My 22yr old daughter and her bestie went in to grab Mother's Day gifts at 2pm, Saturday, 5/9/26. They barely made it halfway through the store before an older gentleman said, "If you aren't going to buy anything, please leave so I can go to lunch." My daughter is on the spectrum so she looks quite young for her age. I can only assume he was stereotyping them as "teens" but that's beside the point. As a small business owner myself, I cannot imagine treating customers this way. read more

This cute little shop is located along the Destin Harbor sits Banana Barts. It is inside what looks like an older beach house which is pretty cool. Parking is limited here so depending on the time of the day you may or may not find a spot. Going inside, this is not your ordinary gift shop. They have everything from A to Z. They have quite a few handmade things as well. I of course inspected the whole store. I definitely love a vintage building and it shows. I didn't get much here but, I got some things. I probably would've gone broke if I wanted to buy the things I really wanted to buy. This shop is definitely worth visiting if you're in the Destin Area. You will get your moneys worth. read more

this place was awesome!! every inch and corner of the store is decked out with cool & unique souvenirs and gifts. insane bang for your buck, and surprisingly affordable for all price points. the owner said she's been there for 40+ years and you can tell a lot of care has been taken into curating such an interesting selection. i would definitely recommend a visit if you want to find a cute memento for a friend or family member. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I stopped into Banana Bart's. There are Alvin's Islands or Surf Shops every 20 ft or it seems in Destin. They are largely just the same junk you see everywhere. I was looking for a more unique and original place to stop in to get a gift. I've probably passed the yellow house that the store is in dozens of times and never noticed it. I was happy to stop in and check it out. It had an eclectic collection of souvenirs and something for everyone. The woman at the front was nice and personable so no complaints with the service when we were in. The prices were reasonable, and on par for any other store you are going to see in the area. The only reason I'm giving this 4 rather than 5 stars is that the hours are somewhat limited, and it was in a stretch of Destin that was annoying to get across the divider and into the parking lot. read more

The best place for unique and cool beach gifts or keepsakes. Lovely view but not much parking. Jewelry, t-shirts, signs, Christmas ornaments and much, much more. Great prices and friendly service. read more

Best little souvenir shop in Destin. They have something for everyone! Many unique items that you won't find at any other souvenir shop.

Unique store with one of a kind selection. Always a welcome staff and the kids love stopping in. We'll definitely be back

Stopped here on a whim and we were glad we did. It is unassuming from the outside, but there are so many gems on the inside. We got to talk to the owner about the history of this place, which was worth the visit alone. This was the first vacation home built on the harbor in the 30s and acquired by a trade of used pick up truck. I won't do the story justice so just go see Anne or Bart here and get and talk to them and see their wares. It is worth it and it sure beats Alvin's Island! read more

Love this Destin gem!! The owners are a delight and the gifts are more unique than anything you find in Alvin's or the other surf shops. Would def recommend to stop in. Have some patience with the parking lot. They have been there since the "good old" Destin days so it's tight. Wonderful little spot!! read more

This is a fun, very eclectic gift shop! Anything from vintage inspired tees to seashell art. The owner has been there both times we have visited and is so friendly and kind. It's a great place to do a little non-traditional souvenir shopping. read more

Had been looking forward to stopping in. My group and I walked around and browsed, as we were leaving I accidentally knocked over a metal object of some sort and I of course picked it up. The gentleman working stuck his head out the door and yelled "y read more

Very unique store! Very different items than you will find in any other store in Destin Florida. Fun to shop there.

Definitely has different "souvenirs" vs your typical Alvin's Island or surf shop. But isn't super welcoming, hours are a bit odd. Wouldn't recommend honestly. read more

It is fantastic in every way!! We love all of the unique gift/souvenirs to choose from. It's very different and better than other stores.

By far my favorite shop to visit in the Destin area. So many cool and eclectic items to look at and buy. I mean everywhere you look is cool stuff, more cool stuff, and more cool stuff. If you have never been there before you really should stop by. There is something there that will appeal to everyone. Its hard to go in and not leave with a gift. SO MUCH FUN! read more

Cool spot. Lots of great things to choose from and the shirts are awesome. Not typical touristy stuff. Scary from the outside but venture in. read more

I heard about this store for unique souvenirs and I was not let down!! This place was a lot to take in at first, but it was a super cute store. The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. Their T-shirts were also a nice quality with a decent selection of colors. This place really has anything you can imagine from glass vases to sunglasses! Great store & great products. read more

Awesome gift shop in Destin. Skip the 10 shirts for $10 joints on every corner and come here instead. Great quality stuff and something for everyone in the family. Even my 11 year old was impressed! read more

My partner and I had decided to come to this shop and browse. I personally had stopped just to change my shorts, but my partner wanted to look around. Due to not being from around here, we figured we could do like a lot of other places, park and walk. When we returned roughly an hour and a half later due to the vanity of our decision to walk, we were met by who we can only assume is Mr. Banana Bart himself. Bart berated us initially screaming "Where have you been?!" Before rebuking us for leaving the truck locked. (He scolded us for this, even though we wouldn't have had it any other way. I can only imagine what he would have done if we left it open.) Though we told him we were "up the street" he continued to tell us that this is a business and we should never park in his parking lot again. 10/10 wouldn't recommend, very rude service, very disrespectful atmosphere, and overall crappy people. read more

I cannot recommend this place to any POC. You'll be followed around the entire time and not in a "hi welcome to my store" kinda way. In a silent, unashamedly obvious and uncomfortable way. The other reviews are right though, the stuff their is eclectic and fun. read more

Amazing! This is what a gift shop should be. Owner was very helpful. Opened a box of shirts that just came in to help us find what we were looking for. All sorts of goodies that range in prices. read more

This place is awesome. Do not drive by without going in and checking this little gem out. Unique souvenirs from Destin and other cool things. Adorable shop filled with all kinds of trinkets, jewelry, knick-knacks. It's like going to grandma's house and finding all kinds of goodies. Perfect for souvenirs. Friendly owners. A must see if you're in town visiting Destin. read more

unique items , unlike the other gift shops! fun place to browse with reasonable prices!

First time in this shop. We were looking for something that wasn't your typical cheesey souvenir shop that lines the main drag. This place is great! You could go in a dozen times and see something different each time. The owner was there, said he's been in this location for 36 years and the last of original shops that started there. A must see place, you probably won't walk out empty handed. read more

It's my favorite souvenir shop in the Bay Area; we've been shopping here every summer for years; we've gotten tee shirts, shirts, CD's, sterling silver jewelry, turquoise jewelry, Christmas ornaments, leather goods, hats, ankle bracelets;, copper, leather and pewter jewelry - and there's lots more to look at as you wind your way through this converted pre-war cottage. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Plus there are inexpensive items to bring home as gifts that are nice. Remember when there were a number of shops that weren't filled with junk? This is one of the few shops left filled with items worth buying. read more

Drove by & decided to stop... Ended up spending over an hour inside! All kinds of stuff from jewelery to purses, home decor, magnets, windchimes, eclectic goods, shirts, great souvenir & gift ideas. Love these kind of quirky places & a healthy change from the same ole same ole. read more

This is the best place in Destin for jewelry and old time charm! I look forward to shopping here every year!!

Super fun shop with every inch covered in adorable stuff for you or for gifts. The owners were really nice too. Loved it.

My family and I annually stop in at Banana Barts. However, we will not be back. We stopped in this week on Sunday, not realizing they were closed. Not a big deal. We stopped in again on Monday, about 4:20p. I smiled at the lady working inside, 50-ish, chin length wavy hair, and said "hi! We came yesterday but you were closed, so we came back!" Mostly just to make conversation. She said "We close in 10 minutes." Wow. The sign on the door said 5p, but still. So a member of my party said "we were just gonna look around for 10 minutes anyway." Lady working said, and I quote, "Make it 5." Just wow. Not ok. I work hard for my money, and I'll go where I'm appreciated. read more

Walked in 10 till 4:30 lady told me "we are closing soon" and I said we were just looking to spend 10min there annnd she proceeds to tell us "make it 5." She also said to someone with me they close at 4:30 even though on here says they close at 5. Very rude and bad attitude. Sad because we were looking forward to seeing the place and considering we came the day before and they were closed. read more
