The place is nice and clean with a TV always playing American or Vietnamese music videos. We always come here to get the sapoche smoothie which the wifey absolutely loves. Nice flat prices without the few extra cents for each topping nonsense, also no tax! The che is good too with only one complaint: They put all the ingredients at the bottom with ice on top but even after mixing it together the che still isn't very cold - warm che ew. They recently added macaron ice cream sandwiches for $3. The freezer in front is only for display, they'll give you the sandwich after you order. read more

I always order the same thing, which is #4 on the dessert menu. I really enjoyed it the first couple of times I had it, but my recent visits have been disappointing. The drink has been pretty bland and really watered down especially with the ton of ice they put in there. When I ask for less or no ice, my cup is practically half full. I used to go to the bambu off Hostetter with my sisters all the time, but after we moved further south of Cali it was a bit of a stretch to drive all the way there. Anyways, just the other day, George and I were in the area so we decided to yelp the bambu off Aborn Rd and we came across a review that their #1 special tastes like goddesses. We thought it was so funny that we decided to go in. Within minutes of receiving our drinks, George killed his drink and exclaimed,"IT REALLY DOES TASTE LIKE GODDESSES!" Their dessert drinks are good. The Bambu Special is my favorite. Additional toppings are free I believed until I got charged an extra 50 cents once. Still reasonably priced and quite fulfilling. Wow I've been going to this Bambu for over a year and I can't really say the staff is cooperative or nice. They have this new drink of which the girl at the counter could not explain what it was she told me there was young coconut in it and that a lot of people order it and that it was really good so somehow her marketing skills convinced me to try it And seriously it probably is the most disgusting drink i have ever had. It literally tasted it like tree and close to dirt and maybe somewhere you could taste coconut water but it was gross! Not sweet at all and I still have a bad taste in my mouth... I went back in to tell them I didn't like it even though her co worker said it was really good, she just told me they didn't do any drinks exchanges and my $ 4.25 went down the drain right there. I returned my drink and got nothing back for it. They weren't even apologetic or nice about it. Seriously never going there again, even though it's closer to my house I rather drive to the one on Wolfe road. I like Che here. But not the bubble tea, the pearls are not always solf and chewy. It's ok. Compare to Che, che is the best. I dont really like sweet thing, but the Che is just good. The menu has many things and I didnt have chance to try all. However, I still think their Che is good. read more

I love Vietnamese desserts. I used to go all the way to Hostetter to get Bambu. Definitely one of my favorite go to places when craving something sweet. I recommend: 1) The Bambu Special- Pandan Jelly, Longan, Basil Seeds, Coconut 2)The Che Ba Mau- Pandan Jelly, red bean, white bean (there's more i just cant remember) 3)Che Thap Cam- Practically almost everything combined. 4) (if you're a coffee lover) Hazelnut Mocha (Ask them for coffee jelly) You can get your dessert in a regular sized cup, or in a large one. You can add things you want with your order. Like maybe extra pearls in your Bambu Special. (That's what my brother always does) You also have the choice if you want your ice separate, or in your drink. In your drink, if you are not willing to add ice yourself. Separate if you like to add as much ice as you like. Overall, I enjoy coming here, and definitely will be back soon! read more

I don't think I'm ever coming back here! My mommy can make me better desserts. &I can definitely do without the terrible customer service! I ordered and the girl working kind of gave me a little bit of attitude but I usually don't let it bother me too much because, hey people are at work &they can't be super cheery and happy to be at work all the time. So I waited.... and waited... and waited.... A good 5 minutes went by with 2 workers standing there laughing and talking and making their own cups to munch on, while.... they were at work.... Then another customer comes in. &another one. A few minutes go by, and then THEY get their desserts! Total they ordered like 5 desserts, a couple of them being smoothies which takes much longer to make than my simple red bean, grass jelly and pandan jelly cup!! So after waiting the longest 10 minutes of my life on one of the hottest days of the week I finally ask them where my order was. They look at me all confused like they've never seen me before. I was literally standing like 5 feet away from them for 10 minutes waiting for my order. Then they finally made my drink in not even 10 seconds and just handed to me scared that I was gonna blow up on them for making me wait so long. I kept my cool and just left. That was my first experience here and my last. I am NEVER EVER coming back. I was so angry I didn't even finish my drink. lordy.. i was torn between giving this place either 4 stars or 5 stars........but i decided to go with 4. the reason behind this is because this location is way too small. their service isn't that bad, but because this place is so small and it seems as if they have a very limited number of workers, things tend to get pushed back more than they should. their lack of space affects: 1. customers who are waiting for their desserts to go. these customers usually take up a lot of room as they try to squeeze around the limited space waiting for their order to be called 2. customers trying to actually sit in. there's about 2-3 tables and a few booths provided for those who wants to stay. however, this doesn't help very much because these are usually occupied, again, by customers waiting for their orders to go. it seems as if there are barely any customers who stay and actually eat their desserts there because there is usually no room at all what so ever! my suggestion to the owner? relocate, and fast! this place with its grand opening always seems packed to the fullest extent everytime i come here. the first time around, it took me forever to get my order. the second time wasn't so bad, but barely having breathing space makes it all a bit icky for me. also, the fact that so much body heat in a small, compacted area combined with the wait time would make me think twice if i were to be in a rush and hoping to stop by to grab a quick snack. if this isnt feasible, please try to hire more workers in the back to speed the process of serving customers. this will definitely solve the space issue. another thing? i find it very unprofessional that every order is taken on post it notes............LOL????? i know we asians sometimes do things the ghetto way, and i'm not nit picky about it, but it would really help with those who are more judgemental than i am. but as a friendly suggestion, having a real order sheet would make everything more like a business. other than that, your che is great !! my family loves the combination che, and the che ba mau. as for myself, i will probably come back once a week to order the che trai cay. i love fruits, and this satisfies my cravings for as reasonable price. read more

I always love Bambu especially their smoothies because I know they use fresh ingredients but today 6/19/2017 at 6pm I was not happy with this place. Every week I come here to buy smoothies with less sugar (usually I want 25% sweet but sometime they only do half sweet) because I dont like drinks that too sweet and my doctor recommended me to consume less sugar. After the girl in the front gave me my drink, I try it and it was so sweet so I came back and ask her if she can put some ice in and blend it again to make it less sweet for me. After I asked her, she turned around and ask me "xay lai ha? O đây không có xay lai đâu muon thêm đá thì đua đá bao bo vô ly - make it again? We don't do that here. If you want more ice I can give you shaved ice" Excuse me? It's a smoothies not a dessert, why would I want shaved ice in my smoothies? She gave me an attitude as well as the lady in the back also sneaked her head out of the kitchen to look at me. If you cannot re-blend it for me, it's ok just dont give me an attitude. It's the first time that I heard the store dont remake it for customers. I came to many different Bambu location and I know for sure they will remake the drinks if customers do not satisfied. If I ask for more stuffs without paying, then you can give me attitude. It's not even my fault when you made the drink wrong. Im sorry I never give bad reviews but im so pissed off. If I have a choice I would not even give this place a star PERIOD!!! The service sucks and the girls that prepare the drinks are so clueless that when my friend ordered a papaya shake and asked them nicely if they can make the drink again because it was so sweet and they said they can't do that and offered to add more ice to reduce the sweetness of it and they ended up putting ice cubes instead of using their common sense of re-blending his shake with the added ice. I like the desserts here, but the customer service definitely should improve. The owner should pay attention here and retrain your employees to at least put on a smile and don't act arrogant like the customers are beneath them. When I have a craving for "che" I would think of this place, but then just the thought of facing the unfriendly face of the cashier discourages me to get in my car to drive there. I usually go in the morning time during weekdays, and it's the same unfriendly face that I see. Nothing obvious, but it's the subtle gestures and facial expression that is a turn off. read more

I arrived there around 2100. There is plenty of parking and the place was not overcrowded. We didn't need to line up for orders. I ordered CHE 3 MAU (red bean, white bean, green bean, taro, pandan jelly). I LOVE that. The frozen topping ensure each drink is refreshing and cool.The goodies were chewy and mixed well with the coconut milk. the portion is huge in terms of dessert. Their #1 dessert special is the perfect marriage between my favorite basil seed drink and young coconut drink with a side of pandan jelly and re-hydrated longan. Despite eating a very full lunch, I managed to eat my entire dessert down to the last bit. I would describe it as a successful modern take on the traditional che-well-balanced in flavor and texture and visually appealing to boot . I wanted to try this place since my Vietnamese coworker told me about it. They have these delicious coconut milk desserts filled with things like jelly, lychee, red beans called che. Price wise, it was equivalent to Jamba Juice, but felt more filling because of all the things inside the drink. The drink menu was huge. Not only is there the che, but milk tea, coffee, tea, and smoothies. It felt nice to drink on a hot day. I love trying new places, especially places with Asian sweets. Tried this place with my bf and ordered an Iced Vietnamese Coffee and a Mango smoothie. Maybe it was my order, but I didn't see the hype of the place. Nothing extraordinary, but still yummy (mango smoothie). If I try something new and I like it I'll retract this review. However, I will have to knock down a star because of the customer service. I mistakenly ordered an Iced French Vanilla for an Iced Vietnamese Coffee.... I asked if I could exchange, and the cashier scoffed with a smile and said, "But we've already made the drink". I've worked in customer service for 8 years, when a customer requests for an exchange there is no: if, buts, or maybes just do the exchange. I stood my ground and I said I don't like my drink with no attitude, I just wanted to enjoy my beverage. She offered to just add the french vanilla. That was gross... I have been coming to this particular location as it's the only one that implemented Five Stars. However, I was only able to utilize it twice and since then the machine is broken. As of yesterday, it is still broken and now machine is not on the counter at all. I think they intended to not give customers their points anymore and blaming it on "broken" machine.
