This place was pretty good. I wasn't too much of a fan of their bandeja paisa (ironically). I just felt like it was a little bland. But it wasn't terrible. However, their churrasco was to die for. Always a fantastic experience with great food and service. I always buy trays of the empanadas for my store and everyone devours them.

Haven't had a chance to eat in the restaurant, but recently ordered chicharrones and empanadas to go. The empanadas were good but could've used a little more salt for my taste. The spicy sauce that comes with it and the lime help. The chicharrones in the other hand were amazing. Slightly different from the Cuban chicharrones, but really special. I liked that there was a nice amount of meat to fat ratio. They were crispy and salty as they should be. Looking forward to going back to eat in the restaurant. read more

So yummy! Empanadas are delicious. Soups are delicious. Plantains are delicious. EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!

We came here just for the fried red snapper. No really we did. My Aunt ordered 4 red snappers and 1 skirt steak dinners. We devoured the fried red snappers while the skirt steak was passed over. Coming from a Vietnamese background fried fish is a staple household meal, but the only way to completely satisfy this meal is to eat it with rice and nuoc mam (Vietnamese Fish Sauce) and so we had to bring some. Yes, we are guilty. We brought our own nuoc mam and it made the dish. The fried red snappers were a good portion with a crispy and fresh taste. It came with a side of white rice and fried yuca (high recommend the fried yuca). As for the skirt steak, well, it was cooked well done, so sad because the cut of meat looked delicious. We're all medium rare steak kind of people so seeing a steak cooked well done is torture for us, needless to say we all only had a small piece and took the rest home. My Dad who doesn't like fish, but will eat fried fish or fresh sashimi, couldn't stop eating the red snapper! He alone had 1 1/2 fish! If you didn't like fish but saw this man eat you couldn't help but want to try it yourself! Bamboo will definitely be on my list for next time I'm in Miami. read more

This little whole in a wall place has just become my new favorite casual dinner place in Miami. Now that i have my motorhome I will eat here very very often. it's definitely a place to bring my friends. The food is AMAZING: tasty, fresh, there's variety and healthy overall. My mom and I really enjoyed it. We had the Sancocha de Costilla (stew) with a side of yuka and beans and chicken with rice with a side of fried bananas. We can't wait to go back. In our next visit we already know what we're getting: Turkish salad with empanadas. It looked amazing on our neighbor's table. The waitress is very nice and portions are so big with the sides that we brought a lot of food home and we're very happy we did! We spent $27 plus tips! 10 OUT OF 10. read more

Recently came here on a lunch date with my boyfriend and was so pleasantly surprised! This restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall but once you walk in you can feel the authenticity of the Colombian Cuisine they offer. Service was immediately attentive and warm to my Venezuelan boyfriend and I which is really nice for a non-spanish speaker like myself. The restaurant was pretty packed for their lunch hours and we grabbed the last two person table available when we walked in. I also noticed that my boyfriend and I were probably the only non-Colombians in the restaurant which was an immediately good sign for me! I had researched their lunch special beforehand for my food page and though they don't offer the same specials anymore we were informed that they still had discounted lunch special that varied daily. The two options were a whole fried fish and macitas de puerco which are some of my favorites so I was happy about it! The specials come with rice, soup, and a salad. I got the whole fried fish with a fish chowder and my boyfriend chose the pork with a red bean soup. All of it was delicious and they even gave us a whole avocado salad complementarily. The best part is when the check came around our entrees were $8/each for all that food! We had two box a lot of it up to take home. Visited for the first time yesterday evening. Ordered the Super Bandeja Paisa which was a platter with chicken, steak, rice with an egg on top, pork rind, sweet plantains, and an arepa. It was all pretty good and tasty. The problem, however, was the service. Our waiter was awful. It took forever to order and I couldn't get a refill and it was like pulling teeth to get him to stop by the table. Another good thing about this place were the prices. This was our first visit for breakfast and over-all its was a good experience. I had the scrambled eggs with diced Ionian and tomato's. There were a lot of flavors going on however the eggs could have been a little less over cooked; not a big game changer. The portion was large. I also had their "Pan de Bono" that many have raved and they were good but not the best I had- not sure if they too were over baked? The other meal was an "arepa con quesito" (corn cake with cheese) a very traditional Colombian dish. I thought they did a good job with this portion. We tried their hot chocolate- not that it was cold that day but just to check it out. Not sure but it seemed to have a hint of coffee to it and not being a fan of coffee I was on the fence as to the flavor-I did drink it. This is what I would call a neighborhood restaurant. There's nothing fancy about the place and there's very little emphasis on decorations and esthetics but the food is out of this world. The baby churasco dish is cooked to perfection. Their fried fish dish is the best I have had in years and their seafood soup is probably their most popular dish. The staff is welcoming and while they prefer speaking Spanish, they do their best to accommodate English speakers. I go there once a week and I have them a 5 star because I have not been disappointed ever. Really great food. Perfect for families. I live close to this restaurant. Since day one when I found it, it has been my favorite restaurant in town; their cooking is delicious, attention is great. What I like the most is their seafood, you need to try the Pargo Frito. This fish is from Colombia (I was told by the owner they import it directly since they live in south america, not USA) and is so fresh that it looks as if it were just caught! Another personal favorite is the Filete en Salsa de Coco; this is fish in a coconut sauce which is just unbelievable.
