In regards to taking food to go, it's all about timing and who is working XD I'm pretty sure~ So, after placing my order and waiting 15 minutes to grab my food here, which is about 5 min from my home, food came out and was ready for pick up. Upon entering the restaurant, I was caught off guard seeing storage and a make shift open kitchen and a stair well to its right? Super odd set up and felt like I wasn't suppose to enter there. I did see seating further back and the service window which had my goodies bagged up so I had tunnel vision and didn't think too much into in... The kitchen staff was quiet and efficient, probably because they were closing in 10 minutes, my bad~ but thanked them and was grateful! I ordered 3 dishes in different variations. Spice levels given were Mild, Spicy, Thai Hot, and Extra Hot. Pad Thai Chicken and Pad See Ew/Drunken Noodle Tofu were Thai Hot and the other Pad See Ew/Drunken Noodle Chicken was Extra Hot. Other than them being a little bit on the watery side, it was pretty good! Keep in mind, I wasn't expecting much, but was really craving Thai Noodles of any kind. I could eat at this restaurant everyday! The food is so amazing. The Bamboo House serves Thai food that is the best I have had yet. I would strongly suggest calling it in as it may take a while to get your food. Usually between 25-30 minutes. Make sure you bring cash and if not they have an ATM located within the restaurant. The only downside is the space is limited, however the food is still good. Currently they changed some of their prices, but the food is still reasonably priced between $9-$12. The customer service is good, sometimes during the busy hours they can be aggressive. Nonetheless, it's a good place to have lunch. They are closed on Mondays which is upsetting because I could use that as a pick me after a rough Monday back in the office. In closing I would recommend trying the food. Food was ok, I got Shrimp Pad Thai. Rice noodles were all lumped in the middle not stirred in - when I got home and took it out of their foil tin, the noodles were all stuck together in a big clump. Along the wall is a row of old furniture, vacuum cleaners, things piled up against the wall. As you go further towards the back to are now in a corridor with shelves on each side. It's like the storeroom. Peanuts, cases of water, bags of things, cleaning products, etc. ODD Then you get to the rear area, theres a few more tables and an opening to the cooking area. Things are everywhere. Shelves with spics and jars of things, a sushi area (empty) old formica counters, things taped to the walls...a bit overwhelming. Again, ODD I looking into the cooking area, two ladies wearing hairnets where cooking. Typical Asian style, bowls raw meat, boxes of veggies, more supplies everywhere.
