They are allways super busy as they only have 1 person (could be the owner) doing the phone orders, running the take out and waitressing tables. Sorta disappointed with this one. Arrived when they told me to, & my food was sitting on a table nearby, but they took another 10 minutes to wait on me. Then, the order was wrong & had to be corrected. When we got home, we discovered missing rice for one meal, & no sauce for the dumplings. They wouldn't accept my Discover card, although there was nothing on their website to warn of that. I know that restaurants are struggling, but we won't return here. read more

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted.. even worse than those janky msg buffets. Being that I was insanely hungry, I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken dinner with fried rice, Hot and Sour Soup, and 2 egg rolls. The cost: $19.80. I had to pay an extra dollar just to get some crunchy noodles for the soup. That's low. Soup: It literally tasted like they made it with pond water or sewage runoff. Ever driven through a place where there's open sewage in the streets, like Mexico.. it tasted the way that smells. No joke. Neither hot, nor sour. It was extremely hard to choke down, even with the 1$ premium crunchy noodles. Dinner: The veggies and chicken seemed fresh, yet the taste was very bland. I prefer bolder flavors when it comes to Oriental food, so this could be preference, but the sauce was runny and nearly flavorless for a dish that is supposed to be spicy. Meh. Fried Rice: It's just heated up rice with a few miniscule specks of egg with a little soy sauce mixed in. No veggies or chicken or really egg to speak of. Devoid of flavor. Egg Rolls: Small, but not bad. Crunchy. If you really want to support local business and are willing to pay premium for bland Chinese food then this is your place, but unless you're up for a science experiment, beware of the hot and sour soup. Having dinner with friends after visiting the White Sands Monument. The Hunan Chicken was so delicious!! We have a group of six people. The service was excellent!! We tried spicy chicken, hunan Chicken, tofu vegetables soup, broccoli beef and they all tasted good!! We asked for the Chili oil, it's the authentic Chinese chili oil, taste so good mix with the rice. Although it is not the best Chinese food, but we love the owner Mr. Wong and his wife. Ordered Chicken Chow Mein and General Tso's. Absolutely horrible. The noodles in the Chow Mein were soggy, the sauce had no flavor and 3 slivers of carrot and a ton of onions. General Tso's was as if they refried left over chicken. Rubbery and burnt tasting! When I called the restaurant and notified them. The rude lady said she would not refund my money, and would make us new batch. When we arrived back to the restaurant she said we ate half the food; not even close. By far the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I used to eat there years ago when my husband was alive, this place has really gone downhill. I ordered General Tso Chicken.expecting chicken in a sauce with vegetables. And, sesame chicken. Both dishes were the same red pieces of overcooked flavorless chicken, the one that was supposed to be sesame chicken just had some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Check to a little longer to come since more people were dining in today. On checkout I was asked if I had cash and upon replying no was referred to their small sign taped to the register that they require a $10 minimum for credit cards. Good home cooked Chinese food. Reasonably priced lunch. A bowl of soup to welcome you. A favorite spot in Alamogordo.

It's located on the left hand side coming from the base right before you get to the Mall (Hall). Their decor is very simple Asian themed, along with funny signs that say something along the lines of don't wear too much perfume/cologne and don't come in wearing pajamas. LOL! Their food is pretty good! Their sweet and sour chicken is yummy especially since they put sauce on the side instead of drowning the chicken in sauce. Their rice portions are small though. A rarity in Alamogordo - this is a non-buffet asian restaurant. I went to dinner with a couple of friends after work. The restaurant is located in a retail center on the north side of Alamogordo, so there isn't a lot of external decoration options. The inside was bright and clean. The menu was varied, and and included some Korean dishes. My friends and I each had some egg drop soup and split orders of pot-stickers and egg rolls. The soup was quite satisfying, and I probably could have been happy with that and a couple of orders of appetizers. The pot-stickers were good and the egg rolls were delicious. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, and my friends ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. Evidently, you can order dishes to be extra spicy. Be careful what you wish for. While the Mongolian Beef was good, and the Kung Pao was spicy, the extra spicy General Tso's made my eyes water after the first small bite. The friend who ordered it loves extra spicy, so he was happy. Service was quick, and friendly. The server wasn't always asking us to refresh our water, but we didn't feel neglected either. Probably the worst Chinese food I've eaten. I went with my family to lunch. Mybkother ordered MooGooGaiPan, I ordered Chow Mein. For some reason both of our dishes had the exact same sauce. When we received our orders mine had an overwhelming burned scent and taste. The oil they used to fry my extremely soft wrong textured noodles was burnt and so my entire dish tasted burn. BUT that wasn't necessarily a bad thing considering there was literally zero flavor in the rest of the dish. The sauce used was white and made with cornstarch, carrots, cabbage and mushrooms. Since when have you ever heard of that sauce going on Chow Mein? The chicken tasted sour as if it had gone bad. There was ZERO garlic or onions to season the meal. My mother recieved the exact same sauce on her moo goo gai pan, and a side of WHITE rice that had been drizzled with soy sauce and was called fried rice. My husband had no complaints. When we left the restaurant my mother got sick in the parking lot and vomited. I felt nauseated for the remainder of the day. Zero stars. Do not recommend. read more

This was a surprisingly delicious asian restaurant. Usually, I steer clear of all asian restaurants because of the low quality of food but this was a really good restaurant. My family and I got the steamed fish, chow mein noodles, vegetable sides and szechuan chicken. The steamed fish was by far the best dish out of all four that we ordered and I highly recommend it. The prices are fair and I really enjoyed the complimentary egg drop soup that came with the meal. I love love love bamboo garden. Every time I'm in town, I have to stop by and have lunch there! I feel the Chinese food served there is probably the best I've had and absolutely love that there's a bit of Korean food on the menu. The owners themselves are so nice and you can tell they are out to please their customers. I've read the other reviews and some were complaining about the signs the owners put up about people not wearing to much perfume, which I actually am thankful for since I usually have allergy reactions with perfumes. Another sign saying something about not wearing pajamas, sorry, but I agree with them. It's their business, I feel like they can do what they want. All in all, I tell everyone I know to stop there and have lunch or dinner when in town! Love it and will keep going when I'm in town! read more

11/19/2014 This USED to be our favorite place to go in Alamogordo for Chinese/Asian food. It's homey and the staff is friendly However, after today we won't be going back!! We ordered off the new menu from the lunch specials. I got chicken chow main and my husband got sweet & sour chicken. I was told that chow mien now comes without any crispy noodles served underneath. The chicken and veggies were completely tasteless. The veggies were a mix of carrots, celery, cabbage and mushrooms!! Never had chow mein with mushrooms! There were NO bean sprouts and no texture to this soggy dish. Soy sauce and salt couldn't save this meal. Perhaps they have a new chef (????) or new management but we were very disappointed. I like this place and I've gone twice. Their pot-stickers are the best I've had anywhere, and I like the free soup. I've gotten the cashew chicken both times and really enjoyed it. There is always enough to take home left overs, but they are very stingy on the rice (that's kind of weird). The set up is just tables in a room, but it gets full quickly for dinner near the weekend. Very fresh delicious food. Service is excellent. The waitress is very courteous and friendly. I asked her for a spicy Thai chili since to my taste the hot oil is not hot enough, she brought it out and the chef came out to make sure it met my expectations he even brought a very spicy chili in the bottle so that I can taste.
