Worst KFC ever, waited 30 minutes inside to take our order. Never did get to order because they had no chicken ready. Only person there to cook chicken was on break and that was the so called manager. She just sat there looking at her phone while customers were standing everywhere. For a KFC it was good. It didn't blow my hair back, but there wasn't anything horribly bad either. There service was on par, the food was served hot, and the chicken was cooked well, with the typical level of grease. Nothing surprised me, and that's probably a good thing, as a lot can go wrong in fast food. It was what I thought it would be, so in that regard, they did ok. Having said that, one person in my group ordered the Cheetos sandwich, and I didn't have the stomach to even try it. It was gloriously disheveled, almost on a Frankenstein level of construction. In the end, I don't know what this accomplishes. Who wants to compete with the lowest denominator of food (Cheetos) combined with heart clogging capabilities that significantly cause question. Waited about 20 minutes along with three other cars, for cold chicken, cold fries, and two complimentary (for such a long wait) biscuits. :) Chicken tenders are tiny and not worth the money. Went through the drive thru last night, was told by whoever answered the menu board in the drive thru to wait a minute. Not sure what she considered a minute but we waited about 10 minutes to just order after we said hello several times. We could only get original recipe, ok. Guess they don't do extra crispy at this store. Once ordered we then had to wait after we paid for it for another 10 minutes, the food was hot, no complaints there. The wait to order is really long that's a concern. So if you go there be prepared to wait at least 20-30 minutes to get your food. read more

This town is not worthy of the greatness that this KFC brings to the table. I just ate a sand which and I am 99% sure the Colonel himself ghosted into the kitchen to bless my chicken with those hand crafted herbs and spices. The flavor was on point. The sauce was superior. I have no clue how the Popeye sandwhich hype even existed after tasting this meal. There are no cooks at the Alamogordo KFC, those people are straight CHEFS. Customer service was top knotch. The soda fountain machine dispensed the drink at the perfect rate. The cookie was bomb. I'm in tears as I write this because I did not think such perfection existed in fast food. On multiple occasions I have ordered food only to find out that the order was not correct in this case I ordered via the app which places exactly what I wanted for the attendants to read and fulfill, they fail... three items were missed ... I'm not calling this a conspiracy however, it seems that they are trying to hold back chicken tenders and I can only conclude that this happens to save KFC money but taking them money but NOT producing the tenders ( guess tenders are expensive ) this is my third occurrence multiple calls to KFC corporate headquarters to complete complaints have gone on deaf ears.. staff here is helpful and courteous and once you identify the mistake they take care of it but with the dine in /walk-in option closed all hand should be in the kitchen making sure that orders are complete and accurate . Collin was very rude after forgetting our silverware and a side that was supposed to be included. Terrible service and the chicken was overcooked and barely edible. After being inconvenienced and having to drive back to get a refund for this terrible experience, he refused me service and ordered me to leave the premises like he owned the place. On July 6th, 2020 I purchased 3 pieces of chicken, all dark, original recipe and 3 chicken tenders. Ticket #2460. Every thing was so salty that it was inedible; so I threw them away. I did not go back to get this fixed as I took the order home which is 15 miles away. This is the second time that I have gotten inedible food that was way to salty. We have been going to our local KFC for about 10 years. They really need some n ew management or employees to bring this store back up to where it was a few years ago. With only take out you would think that the quality would be better but it's slipping. The biscuits and cold slaw are as good as always but the chicken itself is failing in quality. Our experiance is having it overcooked the last 3 times we bought some there. I thought the chicken was cooked using a timer so where is the problem. Understaffed I'd guess. I don't normally rate fast food restaurants, but this KFC was great--the food was really good (biscuits were fluffy and popcorn chicken was delicious), the manager greeted us as we came in and said thank you as we left, and the guy at the counter was really good. We ordered a 12 piece bucket of original recipe chicken and 6 biscuits. The taste of the chicken was great, but the skin was all wet and falling off the chicken. Imagine it had been dunked in water really fast and then served. All the pieces were soggy. I understand it wasn't the crispy style, but it needs to have a little crispness and the skin should at least stay on the meat. The biscuits were good although we substituted the fake honey sauce with some real honey at home. Guess the plus is we all have fake honey in case the bees ever become extinct. This is a below-average KFC in terms of service, although the food is usually good. The counter staff always seem inexperienced (they don't know the menu and have to look back at the boards). It usually bogs down during the afternoon drive time (around 5-6 PM), with very slow delivery of food. The restaurant also tends to get dirty during that time, with miscellaneous trash collecting near the counter. Lunch is the time to go here if you like the food. One overlooked KFC menu item is the apple turnovers, which are very crisp and tasty and not overly sweet. read more

First time I tried this KFC, the "crispy"chicken had little to no actual chicken, but instead was all undercooked skin and fat. I ordered online and I went to the store for pickup, I told the front cashier I am here for pickup, and they made me wait while they are getting other customers(who arrived after me). After they served about five customers, they finally gave me my order which was ready and placed in the back shelf for the entire 15 minutes. Definitely do not come to this KFC. read more

It is my belief that the size of the chicken pieces has been getting smaller in an attemp to keep prices down. They have a great product and people would be willing to pay more for larger pieces of chicken instead of being coersed into buying bigger orders. If you've spent any time traveling around this great nation of ours, you may have noticed differences in chain restaurants from region to region. KFC is most definitely one of them. My son works at a KFC in Washington St., and I've eaten at his restaurant. Clean friendly, and what you'd expect from your typical KFC experience. This one in Alamogordo...not so much. I am convinced that they are partnered with the Otero County Jail on a work release program. It's not often that I eat at a fast food restaurant that I am frightened by the intimidating appearance of the employees. Jail house tattoos, and what-do-you-want-from-me attitude don't exactly shout customer friendly atmosphere. Not to mention that EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE, seems irritated that you have the nerve to bother them by ordering food. I'd have felt safer running the bulls in Pamplona. read more

I want to report an outstanding server at this KFC on N. White Sands Boulevard, Alamogordo, NM named, Johnny. I have been to this location three times, twice in one night. My initial visit was exhausting when I went inside to make my order. The cashier waited until I came up next and went in the back, I left after 4 minutes waiting for his return. I was hungry so I went to another restaurant and the service was equally as bad. I was ready to make a complaint when I went back to KFC but I decided to go through the drive through. I met Johnny, for the first time and he was so helpful and even apologized that I had to come back without me saying a word. This has to be the worst KFC anywhere. The chicken and potato wedges were served way past expiration. The wings were so dried out they were like desiccated. The biggest problem is that the seasoning on the original recipe is so salty someone on the crew must be sabotaging the food. It was inedible. Seriously this has got to be one of the worse KFCs. I actually really enjoy most KFCs I've been to, but this one always makes me regret going. If you go in the evening, expect the menu to be largely unavailable.. in fact there's been times they've locked up before closing time. The chicken usually comes out very soggy vs "extra" crispy, and I find more breading in the bottom of my box then still on the chicken. read more
