Breadsticks

Another perfect pie. Delivered fast. So fast it was still wicked hot ! This pizza is delicious!

Grocery store level pizza

Two things. First, the quality of food here is laughable. The pizza is basically frozen oven quality. $15 for that? I don't think so. I literally laughed when I looked at the breadsticks... no wonder they're buy one get one free. I ate a couple slices and gave the rest to my dogs. Second, when ordering, they set it so you think you'll get delivery in less than 30 mins, when they know it takes well over an hour to actually get to you. This is likely bc their food can't speak for itself so they use tactics like this to get more orders and make more money. I get that everyone's just out here trying to make a buck, but trust me - you'll do much better for yourself if you're honest and put out a quality product.

Thick crust pizza is absolutely delicious!!! Sometimes the people don't speak English but you can still order and have it delivered.

Worst food ever. Terrible customer service. Never again. We actually threw it all away and ordered from somewhere else.

I liked the fact that…read moreit is local and there would not be as much packaging as the other plans I have used in the past, which arrived via UPS in large boxes with ice packs and thermal linings. This is what I like about Chip and Kale: Food is delicious. Ingredients seem fresh and the opposite of processed food. Price is reasonable and less per serving than other plans I have tried. No ongoing subscription. Food kits arrive frozen which gives me flexibility of what to make and when. The directions are simple and very clear. Even the ingredients are numbered. Minimal packaging. I have been washing and will reuse most of the ziplock bags. I will probably keep two of the totes for personal use and return the others to Chip and Kale. Stand alone deserts offered. Apple strudel looks delicious.

The shell tasted like a store bought brand and the topping were minimal to say the least. It also took nearly 30 minutes for one taco and there was only one guy ahead of us and two other people waiting and to be honest their orders took just as long as ours. Not acceptable! The vibe at the festival last year was great and yeah some of the lines were long, but they were all moving exceptionally fast except this one. The workers seemed very confused and overwhelmed. Yeah, the taco was fairly good, but the wait time for one taco was beyond frustrating. I hope if they are there again today at the festival they are serving better quality crumbles, better quality tortilla shells and more plentiful toppings.

I'd rather drive out of state than have to cross a bridge and tunnel to get somewhere so I only stopped twice when at a nearby meeting. Decades back, my best friend lived right up the street. This was practically an extension of their own house. They were there often. Often is an understatement. I'd get off from work and knew where I could find friends. Here. I'd often stop and pick up something on my way home to the South Side Slopes. I recognize that its been a long, long time since I lived in the Southern Side of the city. I haven't been here regularly in years. I still enjoy stoping by. The last few times, the service was - I hate to say this- not good. I really do hate to say that. The reason people loved this place was because Louie, Toni, & their staff were friendly and made it an experience. Long gone are staff that made anyone in Pgh feel welcome. The last 2 stops in, I felt like an inconvenience. My orders weren't correct each time. One was a to go order. I specifically asked for things to be done a certain way because I was ordering for my husband & kids. I chalked it up to the time of day & blamed myself. I did not look it over since I was trying to beat traffic... this is a classic place. It has to be me. Not them. I had an hour break and decided to stop in. Again, staff ignored me when I ordered. It took up that entire time to get served. It was awkward. My meal was lackluster, at best. My mind wants to believe in this place and that their stuffed bananas, zucchini and chicken sandwiches will never change- but I think they have. At this point, I don't see myself going anytime soon intentionally. If a friend were to ask us to join them, I would.

On one recent visit, I placed a takeout order for the time I expected to be finishing up with a massage a couple doors down. My massage ran way over and I expressed my concern about it to my provider. She sent over the front desk attendant to pick up my order. When I finished, I had a message from the Toastique manager saying he really hoped to reach me because I had left my smoothie behind when I walked out (somehow they got this worked out, because both my toast and smoothie were waiting for me at the front desk). On another recent visit, I showed up just about 20 minutes before they were set to close and asked if they would still be able to make a bowl for me. They looked like they were starting the process of organizing and cleaning up ingredients but were happy to do it. Just always such nice, helpful people and the food is delicious and nourishing. I'm in this area a lot and this is becoming a go to spot for food that I can feel good about.

This is a bit out of the way for us City dwellers, but it was absolutely worth the trip. From the moment we walked in, the lively atmosphere and energy of the place grabbed us. Such a great vibe, with the owners doing their thing and the staff bustling around making everything happen. We started with the trio of dips: hummus, feta, and tzatziki, served with olives and their delicious pita. Then came the spanakopita, which is definitely shareable, especially with a little salad on the side. And because every good brunch needs something sweet, we ordered the loukoumades. Savory + sweet = the perfect combination! Everything was just good!.......fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you're out celebrating. And of course, we couldn't leave empty-handed. We took home a loaf of raisin sourdough, which may have been the best decision of the day. A lively spot, wonderful food, great owners, and a staff that clearly keeps things moving. Anthos, I'm already looking forward to the next visit!
