Tried the crab cake sandwich. Service was super fast! It was a good sized portion and tasted fresh. I think a bit more acid (squeeze of lemon?) and a variety of textures (toasting the bun) would make this a five star sandwich experience.

So the first thing my wife said was why do the only have 3 things on the menu... When we were done eating all she could say was "yea umm, they don't need any more than 3 things on the menu" lol. Their food was AMAZING! The best crabcake I've ever had was from a friend here in Charlotte that's originally from Baltimore so it's only fitting that the one that's next in line (a veeeeeeeeeeery close 2nd I might add) is from the Baltimore Crab Cake Company! . I love a great food truck & what's awesome is that someone from my neighborhood invited them to come and serve us for dinner one evening so all I had to do try then was go to our neighborhood clubhouse. As I mentioned above there are only 3 items on the menu (well 4 but more on that later). You have your choice of a crab cake sandwich, crab soup or a crab cake soaked in crab soup. My wife and I both got the crab cake sandwich and we split a large soup. Before we finished order and we are noticed that they also offered coleslaw but the kicker was that it came with a money-back guarantee! It was only a dollar but we love coleslaw so we knew we had to try it. Listen! EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. They can charge $5 for that damn coleslaw lol. Well maybe not that much given the small serving size but I can promise you not nobody is asking for their money back. The crab cake was huge with all meat and no filling and served on a soft & scrumptious potato bun. It was great all by itself but the roumalade took it to another level. As for the soup, not only am I a soup snob, I'm a crab soup snob and it blew me away. Had a bit of a kivmck that I believe was cayenne but even if it was wasn't I added some when I got home and man talk about great! Last but not least they ship their crab cakes anywhere in the US or you can order in bulk and just meet the truck somewhere. No minimum order required! I took their card so I'll definitely be ordering for myself or someone else. Sounds like a great Christmas gift to me!

Pretty tasty crab cake. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and added a side of cole slaw. Everything was good. The crab cake was flavorful but I think I would've liked a touch more seasoning. The flavor that was there was good but I like things kicked up a notch. The cole slaw was good. I really liked it. It was fresh and the combination of cabbage and spices was good. I think I tasted small bites of apple in it and that was a great surprise. I'd definitely swing by here again for a second sandwich.

I really enjoy crab cakes and take every opportunity to try them. This was actually the second time that we ran across this food truck. They are from Baltimore and know how to do it. Both times we had the crab cake sandwich and it was good. Not a lot of filler in these. Portions are good size and the price is very reasonable. If you find this food truck, don't hesitate to take the plunge.

Good sandwich, however I would loved to have had some texture. Rather an onion or pickle or something that would have giving me more flavor. I enjoyed the luml crap cake soup alot, it was full of flavor and seasoned well. A hint of sage and rosemary woke up my taste buds. I would love to visit the location as this was a food truck visit.

This truck is fairly new in Charlotte but will definitely make its way. The owner Michael and his wife typically run the food truck and have moved down straight from Baltimore, MD. They were super sweet and super friendly and understand the need for quality seafood in Charlotte. I didn't get to try the cream of crab soup but certainly ready for the next time I can catch these guys. The crab cake sandwich though! It was simply amazing. The seasoned the crab cake to perfection topping it with a bed of lettuce, rémoulade sauce, and sandwiched it between two potato roll buns. I really wished we didn't leave after tasting this or else I would have gotten another! So ready for what more they have in store.

This was amazing. My boyfriend is indifferent to crab cakes and he called them 5 star and phenomenal. Excellent sauce, soup and the crab cakes was outstanding. So much lump meat and truly authentic!

So wanted this to be good cream of crab was like paste, no flavor but flour or cornstarch n old bay, and it had a ton of celery in it more than crab, there was a decent amount of crab but it to had no flavor, crab cake was dry but had some lumps (smaller then these pics on here) and "seafood sauce" was pretty much a crap ton of old bay in Mustard and pretty gross....over all so disappointed worst Valentine's dinner to date ....

Well , after a round of "what do want " I don't know..... what do you want ? We decided on visiting the Crafty crab. After all , you can't go wrong with seafood right ? Boy were we wrong . When we walked in we were serenaded by " Pop that coochie" from the 2 live crew . We were seated and ordered . I was then told what I ordered wasn't available and the menu didn't reflect that . Ok , no problem so I went with a Po boy fish sandwich and the wife got a boil to share with the daughter . The Po boy came out really fast , like too fast and so I was like ok let's see what this is all about . The bun was refrigerator cold and the "fish" was more breading than fish and had an awful oil tinge to it . A fish filet could have beat it. The wife didn't even finish eating as she said it was awful. Besides the "ambiance " Tran's the food , I'd say the soft drink was the best thing and the server was cool as well . No thank you crafty crab. When I got home I had a feeling of nausea and kept trying to wash it away with anything I could keep down .

Luckily we snagged a spot and walked over to the lake area. We were seated quickly and our server took drink orders and gave us a chance to review the large menu. There is lots to choose from but, we decided on shrimp tacos. We tried the chipotle tacos and the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were very good. You get a choice of sides, and we tried the Mexican street corn salad and the Mac and cheese. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn salad. It was served cold, but I wasn't really a fan of the taste. The Mac and cheese looked creamy and gooey and was told it was really good. Next time I will order a different side. The atmosphere here is bright and lively with a nice view of the water where you can take paddle boat rides. People love to walk over here, so it is nice to have an open view. The restaurant has a tiki bar vibe and has surfing theme throughout the place. Really fun and relaxing. This is a great stop if you are in the area, expect to circle the lot a bit on the weekends, but the food and atmosphere are great here. We will definitely return to Boardwalk Billy's.

We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! Also, got the Sol All Star Breakfast. Waffle, Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and "Homestyle Fries." Everything was cooked as expected and taste was good. It's a nice brunch spot right at the boardwalk. Salmon was still moist with a dusting of seasoned crust. The thai chili sauce makes this a fantastic combo. I don't even care if the healthiness was fried away. Ribeye - Seasoned well with excellent grill marks. But the trick is to order it the temp above what you want. For example, I wanted medium well so I ordered medium and received a medium-well to well. Seafood Mac n' cheese - It's cheesy, seasoned, and has both limp crab and shrimp. Worth the upgraded cost! Greens - Too salty for me to eat - but I'm sure they're perfect for someone. Shrimp & Chicken Pasta Solid dish fill with flavor and has plenty of shrimp included. AND the Sweet Potato Poundcake - HANDS DOWN the best! Sooo moist, light, melts in your mouth and it's a cake. You cannot skip dessert!! The staff are good people and genuine. Nice lowkey spot for conversation, date night, and a friend meet up.

We walked the boardwalk after dinner, nice bonus. Spacious patio as well as plenty of indoor seating with half booths, low tables as well as high top tables. Full service bar. Food: yummy! I was almost full so for my meal I got a side of seafood Mac n cheese and a side of mixed vegetables. I still didn't eat all of my food. Nice portion sizes. The side of Mac was $9 the entree of Mac was $26. If I go back and get the entree I would definitely share it. Sooooo good, nice and creamy and cheesy, huge pieces of shrimp. My friend got the turkey wings. I watched the meat fall off the bone as she ate. She got garlic parmesan. She liked the dip so much she ordered the greens as a side. You get two with your entree. Ambiance: great music! R&B vibe. It was kind of challenging to carry a conversation so I would not pick this as a romantic date spot. Quite a few stairs outside as well as inside fyi. Service: the only reason I'm not giving 5 overall stars is the service. Some staff were clearly hustling and others not so much. We asked for our table to be wiped down and the busboy who was supposed to come never did and we eventually just switched tables. Our server was super sweet and accommodating, just a little forgetful. After two asks for some things we just let it go. It was a very busy Thursday evening though. She was working very hard and professional. Great suggestions from her from the menu. The busboy popped up as we were finishing our meal. We saw him again as we were leaving. He was out back hanging out with other workers. Which explains why our server couldn't find him and the table never got wiped down. Overall I would return. I really liked the vibe. Good energy. People were happy and having fun. Food is wonderful, very well seasoned with flavor and I want to try more things. Hopefully some staffing decisions will have been made by then to provide consistent service because eventually that will be a turn off for me.
