I don't like giving out 5s. I feel like they can be unrealistic, and maybe I'll update it in the future to maybe a 4.5 if something comes up. But I was thinking about my experiences with Baltimore Bimmer so far an I couldn't come up with a negative, so why knock the rating down a notch when there's no reason? Last winter my car overheated, I had to pull over to the side of the road and get a tow truck to come get me. It was late at night on a Sunday, and I was going to get my car towed to a dealership to fix my car, swallowing my pride knowing that I'd have quite the repair bill in my near future. As the tow truck arrived I did a quick google and found Baltimore Bimmer was close by. I hadn't heard of the place before but given that it seemed new I didn't complain. So I dropped my car off late Sunday night, left a voicemail and went home. I received a phone call and an e-mail the following morning, checking in on who I was, what exactly was wrong with my car, and what we could do to get it fixed quickly. Josh was extremely helpful, not just in detailing next steps but providing general information about my car for which I was appreciative. Joshua was very honest with the time it would take to get my car fixed, and updated me throughout the week (through phone and e-mail) about any changes that came up. If something came up for repair but maybe not immediately, he asked for my approval. If something new came up that needed repair immediately, he still asked for my approval, though he would stress the amount of time I had before the damages got too far. This is getting long winded but Josh and his crew provided amazing service, and by the end of the week my car was as good as new. He even offered to help set me up with a rental even though my transportation was secure. Fast forward six months to now and I've had another great, albeit much smaller, experience with Baltimore Bimmer. My office surprised me with a half day for the holiday weekend and in a couple weeks I am set to go on a long road trip. To make sure my car was good for the trip I wanted to get an inspection and I asked Josh if I could come in should my office give the green light for the half day. So, a few hours later I was off of work rather early and sitting in the library near baltimore bimmer as they inspected my car. I dropped the car off by 3:00 and by 4:00 the inspection was over and my car is good to go for the trip. Baltimore Bimmer has been nothing short of incredible, and though something may come up in the future that may cause me to knock my rating down by half a point or maybe even a whole point I will still be reaching out to Josh and his crew first thing when my car needs work. Josh, Jeb and Brian are the Manny, Moe and Jack (Pep Boys) of the BMW World with but more character, flair, knowledge and compassion with BMW's and its Customers. It's been a little over a year since I met the "Fellas" through servicing my Vehicle. I came upon them after purchasing a pre-owned 5 Series via a car auction and calling a BMW Dealer to diagnosis some issues with my Vehicle. When the dealer told me that he would need $2500 to pop the hood and do their assessment. Well, you can imagine the words that were on the tip of my tongue. But after some additional research on the internet, I came across Baltimore Bimmer. When I call, I managed to get Josh and explained the problem. He explained that their assessment would cost me about $90 bucks and whatever issues surface they would explain and developed a game plan for me to get them resolved. The coolest thing about the initial interaction with the "Fellas" was that they were down to earth and they gave you the truth about the issues with your car. But they perform this act with a sense of compassion for me without any air of arrogance at all. Even sometimes when I think something is wrong with the Vehicle and take it in. Josh would tell me on regular basics, I would love to take your money. But until I see the problem and the Vehicle is broke, put your money back in your pocket. In closing, the "Fellas" have saved me a lot of money on repairs, they have been very compassionate on keeping my (the Customer) interest in mind. Here's what I can say about Bimmer of Baltimore. I have owned a transmission repair facility for 15 years. To say I'm experienced with automotive repair is an understatement. I bought my wife used 745Li and decided that a specialist would be the right person to take the car to for an overheating issue. Communication from Marty is beyond exceptional , Josh knows BMWs and clearly has a passion for the automobile make. I felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle there and let me tell you as a person that owns a repair facility it's very difficult for me to hand over the keys to someone else. As my vehicle still being repaired I will post later on the actual work completed in the condition that I received my car back in. But what I can tell you is I'm getting Am parts the cost of the parts has a fair mark up value, everyone has to eat and I truly don't mind paying the money for the repair as they were about $600 less than BMW of Towson. Mind you now same exact parts $600 less, what gives!! I guess you have to pay for the overhead somehow. Not to say anything about BMW of Towson but when I went there and spoke with the service advisor I felt like a number if that makes any sense. At Bimmer of Baltimore Josh and Marty made my wife and I feel like part of their extended BMW family. Here's a tip, ask Marty about the sudo car Health Care Savings Plan. I have been a customer since 2011 and would not go anywhere else. Do not let one negative review stop you from taking your car to Baltimore Bimmer. A few things you will miss out on if you do- 1. Being treated as an individual not a number. The owners , staff, technicians are down to earth, knowledgeable, and have a talent for patiently listening to concerns. I have never felt patronized, hustled or rushed. 2. Consistent quality. My car handles and feels better every time I drive away. Service is done in a timely manner. I plan ahead to leave my car for days if needed because I like knowing it's being looked after by professionals. Fact is, I've never had to wait long to pick up my car. I've also never had to call to get an update. 3. No complacency. The owners send out surveys and respond to customer feedback. Every time I go there is another upgrade to the facility or services. Today I picked up my car and it had been washed. I opened the door and noticed my floormat missing its collection of rocks and leaves. 4. Fair prices and honest recommendations. I prefer to do preventive maintenance , but if I didn't I know I would get an honest answer about how long I could wait if I did not have the funds. read more

NEVER GO TO A BMW DEALERSHIP AGAIN!!! Just yesterday I dropped over $2200 on my '06 325i at the BMW dealership in silver spring. When they said there was still $1700 of other repairs still needed, I went in to Baltimore Bimmer for a second opinion. The dealership said I needed my rear brakes replaced ($865) and the belt tensioner replaced ($395)... that's it. Baltimore Bimmer took me back into the garage to show me that the tensioner is just fine, but there are some concerning issues elsewhere. They found that the rear tires were dangerously de-threaded, the oil pan gasket had a serious leak, the rear differential cover gasket was leaking, and my E-brake was extremely loose. All of these problems are very serious problems which they found during my FREE 32-point inspection, and all of which the dealership MISSED! So today I had my brakes replaced, wipers replaced, AND E-brake reset all while saving $250 on what it would have cost at the dealership for ONLY the brakes. I will be sure to be back there for the remaining car needs and for the rest of my time as a BMW owner/driver. Dealing with Baltimore Bimmer has been an absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish. My car was in their shop for four weeks for an engine replacement, and during that time, I was told twice that my vehicle had been pushed back with no apparent reason or communication. After waiting an entire month, I finally picked up my car, only for the check engine light to come back on the very next day. The repair was incomplete, and I had to take it to another shop to fix what they failed to do. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for quality were shocking. The entire ordeal has been draining, time-consuming, and incredibly disappointing. I trusted them with my car, and instead, I was met with excuses, delays, and subpar workmanship. I would strongly caution anyone from taking their vehicle here -- this has truly been one of the worst and most frustrating service experiences I've ever endured. read more

The guys here at this Shop have excellent customer service and are very knowledgeable. My car windows had literally stop working and it was pouring down rain. I had only been home two days after a long deployment in Afghanistan. The last thing, I needed was for my windows to stop working during the cold and raining season. I called and spoke to Josh the owner and he immediately told me to bring it in, and the same day started working on my car. These guys fixed my windows and went the extra mile, to make sure I was aware of all the charges in advance. I'm from NC and their hospitality was excellent. Came in for a full inspection of a slightly-used bmw. Marty, the service advisor, was honest after taking a look at the car and told me that a full inspection (including OBC) wouldn't be necessary considering the car's relative newness and low mileage. He made sure that was okay with me, as long as I "didn't mind spending less money" haha! Jeb, the master tech who performed the inspection, brought me to the garage and detailed everything he checked. He was happy to answer all of my questions. Learned a lot! They were extremely quick with an inspecition and estimate of my vehicle after i dropped it off over the weekend without talking to anyone there. This was my first out-of-warranty BMW repair and I was very nervous, since I had heard that German cars are pretty expensive to maintain. It turned out I needed new rear rotors and brake pads. These guys are very nice, personable and honest. They took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car. Definitely cheaper than the dealership and they do a 30+ point inspection and send results with pictures, etc. Highly recommend! read more
