My Airbnb host Guilia suggested this place. Owner Alessandro (I think that's his name) makes his own wine and flavoured olive oil. You get an option to fill it up in a bottle or fill up a 5 litre bag. It's not the usual aged wine you get from the wineries and other stores, but this seems to be popular among the locals, since it serves as a good table wine. He makes around 5 different types of wine and all of them are fresh and organic. If you are going to be sticking around at Florence for quite a while, this will be an inexpensive way of getting to drink good wine everyday.
His garlic and tomato soaked olive oil is my favourite.
He also sells this cheese that his friend makes at the Italian side of Alps. It is aged for 6 months in a cave and hence the name, "the cave of Alto Adige" . The cows graze fresh grass and flowers, more flowers than grass actually, at a height that ranges between 1400m to 1600. I LOVED the cheese, the minute I tried it.
Above all, Alessandro is a hipsterish friendly guy. He gave me a tasting of all his wine even though I din't buy any. He also has good English, so it's easy to get a better knowledge of whatever he sells before you buy it. read more
