Love this little place! Be sure to stop in and sample some very dry prosecco or a supertuscan. Great selection of wines and wonderful appetizers including the most unusual onion and orange jam.

Rainy afternoons call for wine tasting, right? We finished a tour of the Duomo and were walking the streets, taking in the sites and architecture when the rain started to fall. We were looking for a place to go, a bar perhaps or a restaurant where we could pass the rain away with a bottle of wine. Every place we found was closing down for the afternoon and we rounded the corner and saw the owner opening the shop up around 2:45pm. We walked in and he greeted us, motioned towards a seat by the window and handed us some menus. Over the next 3.5 hours, we hung out, drank some WONDERFUL wines, chatted with the shop owner (or who we presumed was the shop owner) and wound up buying two bottles of a beautiful Merlot to take with us for the rest of our travels. We are so happy we found this place and had a great time waiting for the rain to stop. We don't know a ton about wine, but the gentleman treated us just the same and also pointed us in the right direction from wine to wine, as to not follow one particular wine with one that just wouldn't hit the taste buds the same (which is how we found the Merlot!). Highly recommend Vini E Delizie, even if just for one glass. This little space is charming and fun and you won't want to leave!

Marco and his family treated us like family!! The wine is top notch and the service is even better. This little gem that we stumbled upon truly made our stop in Florence unforgettable. We loved this little shop so much that we even went back the next day! They serve their wine with some snacks as well for a few extra euro and the snacks are worth it! Grazie Marco!

If I had only one choice in Florence to smile, drink some great wine, and feel at home, this is that place.

By the time we arrived and scoped out the Duomo, we were definitely ready for lunch. We were walking down the crowded cobblestone streets and decided that wanted a sandwich for lunch. We made a quick left turn and saw a line of people waiting. We weren't necessarily sure what they were waiting for until we inquired. Most people were waiting for sandwiches - SCORE! We decided to get in line and realized how quickly the line was moving. Traffic was being moved by their workers who were assisting with menu suggestions. We quickly got up to the front of the establishment and realized how tiny it is inside. It was so cool to see an actual Italian deli in action. From what I heard, they source their ingredients from local farmers, too! I ordered the La Rosa and my husband ordered the Gregorio (in honor of our friend Greg!). We waited outside for a few minutes while they prepared our order. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the bread was surprisingly crispy. The cost was super reasonable, too, for how much food you are getting. We will be back!

It was the first schiaccata spot we went to in Florence, and they set the bar really high. We arrived around 12pm on a Thursday. The line was out the door, but one of the employees managing the queue informed us that we were in a good spot. The line honestly moved quickly. We waited 15-20 minutes at most before placing our order. The restaurant has limited seating upstairs, but luckily we were able to snag a spot. I ordered one of their vegetarian specials, the 3 cheese blend with signature spicy sauce, and added turkey carpaccio. You can customize the sandwiches as you please. The sound of the crunch of the bread was the price of admission right there. The ingredients all tasted amazing, but the paper thin sliced turkey and spicy marinara really stood out to me the most. If I have to be really nitpicky, I did think that the bread doesn't have longevity. Could be that my sandwich was so saucy, which makes the bread soggy and gummy sooner than other other types.

We grabbed a bottle of wine on a warmer June afternoon after a day of exploring, which was definitely refreshing. The location isn't much as it overlooks a pretty bare piazza. The service can be a bit on the slower side, especially when I walked in and tried to get the bill. But still if you're able to get a table it's a pretty quaint wine bar. It seemed like they had some flights/tastings, which would have been an interesting option.

We were two couples and went for some wine and light snacks. When we arrived, there wasn't a table available for four, so we had to sit separately. Once a table behind our friends became available, we asked to move so we could sit closer together, but our server, Noemi, wasn't very accommodating and seemed somewhat annoyed by the request. We mentioned that we wanted to share a few dishes and asked about portion sizes, but Noemi didn't explain things clearly and wasn't very friendly. She insisted the plates weren't meant for sharing, which turned out not to be true. The wine itself was excellent, and the snacks were good -- but the overall service from Noemi felt unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. I'd still recommend the place if you're interested in trying great Italian wines, but be aware that the service experience may not match the quality of the wine.

I can't believe I have lived here this long and have never been...until now! Finding it can be a bit of a challenge due to it's umbiguous location amongsnt the market traffic in San Lorenzo but once you find it - you pretty much feel like you've discovered a pot of gold. Well at leats, if you are a hungry wino like me. Very small inside, not much space to sit but pick what kind of bread you want and get that panino made. I got one filled with sun-dried tomatoes, burrata (heaven) and prosciutto. Their wine selection is very decent and I got a lambrusco secco which was heaven in a world where normally Lambrusco sucks. Total price for my panino and wine? 7 euros. Which for Italian 'fast slow food' is a bit high but it was so good, I didn't even think about it. So when you are in the center searching for THAT tiny place with great wine and good crostini & panini - head over to Casa del Vino and trust me.. try that burrata..
